Three high dragons of the InsaniTEA wing of the Republican Party have been on a junket to Egypt, spreading Republican hate and lies around the world. They are Michele ‘Batshit’ Bachmann (R-MN), Steve ‘It’s a conspiracy!’ King (R-IA) and Louis ‘Go Low’ Gohmert (R-TX). Undoing their achievements will take considerable diplomacy.

If it wasn't scary it would be funny. Egyptians will think we are all like the three stooges from Tealand.

Excellent suggestion Patty! Trouble is that every country has cheap journalism which shouts loudly and inaccurately – and some people believe these nutcases represent the West. Oh no they don't!

The Three Stooges in Egypt, is this something that can be stopped? How much tax money was spent to send these imbicles over there? Is this part of Mindless Michele's "wagging the dog" with all the investigation happening here on her failed election campaign?

What if we sprayed some roundup on them? I hear it is supposed to kill weeds.

I saw these comments on the news, I feel very embarrassed that these three might be seen as representative of the American people. I think the Egyptians are very savvy and probably know who they are, or I'm telling myself that over and over. Good grief, Charlie Brown! Louie Gohmert, that man (yes, from Texas) makes Bachmann seem a huge intellect.

Hoping you're right, Kit...fearing you're not.

Kit, I'm afraid the average Egyptian doesn't know who they are. He's been deprived of any independent news for more than a year under Morsi and now under the Military. But I read my independent newspapers and follow the world news, but if I hadn't followed discussions here on Care2, I wouldn't have known who they are. To the rest of the world they insignificant; unknown. I bet most Egyptians haven't even heard of the Teaparty.

So their 'straightening out' of the Egyptians has not only done the USA a great disservice, but by letting themselves be hand puppets of the Military (who obviously DID know who they were) they also brought Egypt and especially the opposition in an awkward position.

TomCat has hit it right on the nose: undoing their achievements will take considerable diplomacy.

"Tea party-backed Representatives Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and Steve King (R-IA) on Saturday held a press conference in Egypt."

One can only hope the youth of Egypt, who began the Arab Spring push there, do not fall for the nonsense that comes out of the mouths of these, the three biggest fools in the House of Representatives. If they had to run for election based only on votes from the House, I think all three would lose their seats. Michelle is giving hers up anyway because, well, she's got huge legal problems. The other two are in safely gerrymandered districts. My question though is WHO sent them? How does their presence speak to ANY diplomatic policy of the United States, I find it hard to believe they were asked by anyone with half a brain, let alone anyone in the administration to go and speak. They are speaking for themselves alone, I hope the Egyptian people are aware enough of American politics to know that. They may be saying things that some there want to hear, but what they would replace any government, including here in the US, is absolutely unacceptable anywhere, especially here in the US. These three represent the Christian Taliban and are as extreme in their views as the Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda are in theirs. They are the tiniest of minorities here and have no business implying they speak for America and Americans on their little political junket.

Love the 'toon Cat Man! But alas, I must give yet another soulful sigh when it comes to the guano triplets......why are they allowed out in public let alone allowed to go to another country and represent the US????????? Like we need even more turmoil and misunderstanding over there. For better or worse the MB was DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED....we vaguely remember what that is, right?!.....by the Egyptian people. They should have put up with it (like we are forced to do) until the next election cycle and voted Morsi out. But noooooooooooooo, they get a 'coup' (US backed I am thinking, because we don't like the MB) and voila......we start sending IDIOTS and MORONS over there to keep the Egyptian people stirred up.

Clearing my favorite spot off on the desk yet again......commencing head-banging......now. Good night, Irene.

3 Stooges, Ugly American, etc., etc. What more can be said about these American brainless wonders in Egypt?

Not all 3000 in the Twin Towers were American. Another idiotic fallacy.

No wonder the world hates us if they see us represented by these 3.

"...Bachmann explained. "It’s a common enemy, and it’s an enemy called terrorism.""

I am surprised that Bachmann didn't put her foot in her mouth and say "Muslims". These 3 are the absolute worst representatives of the US — bigots and idiots. I see an international incident coming up the longer they are in Egypt. I also see this as interference in national affairs because they will be perceived as government representatives which, in this context, they are not. They are private citizens — Guano Girl, Goh-merde, and the Bigot.

I favour doggie muzzles and extra strong leashes with choke chains!

"Tea party-backed Representatives Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and Steve King (R-IA) on Saturday held a press conference in Egypt."

She will not go quietly. The three Tea part stooges, Bachmann, King, and Gohmert were in Egypt doing what they do best spreading ignorance, hatred and disrespect for our country with their surreal theater of the absurd press conference. Egypt I have one big favor to ask. Please keep them. We here in the USA don't want them back. You can place them in Hosni's vacant cell.

Who sent them to Egypt, who sponsored their trip? Did we, the taxpayers foot the bill for these three nuts to go there?

wow, we are fighting our rear - ends off so hard fighting the tea party in Wisconsin that this other stuff is slipping past some of our eyes. This Minnesota broad needs to have a boot in her ass again. She has built a secret closet with Sarah Palin and must have laid an egg with her I swear! And going into Egypt omfg. Well, it has taken every ounce and soul of thousands of us rallying and screaming and these evil beings fight back dirty and have you noticed we pulled out so much corrupt dirt in the books about snot walk-me-to-hell-walker and the re-pukes still have them as POTUS 2016 and dictator idol! so, hang tight to the airplane. Hell is flying

On another note, is it possible they could be prosecuted for a violation of the Hatch Act?

Ah, the three stodgiest stooges of stupid proving to the world just what the real dangers of democracy are, the election of people like them. Although you do have to give them credit for not wearing their Tinfoil crowns in public. And at least King doe have expertise when it comes to religious terrorist organizations. One does well to remember that King is banned from using his passport to enter Brittan and I do believe Ireland and Whales because of his years of funding the IRA, Irish Republican Army.

i BELIEVE AN OFFICIAL PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE SHOULD DECLARE THEIR UNOFFICIAL SELF AGGRANDIZING BLINDSIDED IGNORANT MISREPRESENTATIONS OFF LIMITS.Bad enough that they are allowed to stir their venomous brew within our borders.

They sound like they're speaking to aliens, or, at the least, young children. I agree with so many comments. These people are truly "barking mad". Thanks for the article.

Wow! Lloyd - King has been known to fund the IRA? I didn't know that, maybe neither does his travel companion or she might realize this puts into question which terrorist she is talking about.
