The Daily News summing it up, crude but so true! I liked their "D:c: cess-pols shut down government" too.
It's almost too painful to see the average American prefer ACA above Obamacare while they're one and the same. It's clear that Obama's spin doctors need to address this issue fast and get it between the ears of the average American that ACA equals Obamacare and that it is not some better plan that the Republicans came up with. Boy, talking about brainwashing!

But the harder times are still to come when de debt ceiling hits the fan. I couldn't agree more, TomCat, the Democrats must not cave in or they will loose all credibility which will haunt them long past election time. But that's very easy to say from where I'm sitting, of course.

The bitcoin scandal startled me; I thought it was a rather innocent new way of opening up trade. Shows how naive I am. It was to be expected that the money grabbers in the real world would start grabbing money in the virtual world too.

Thank goodness that Democrats are speaking out these days – like the Elizabeth Warren clip that I saw recently – I do hope that it is getting airtime there!

I agree with Lona - but I think it really IS too painful to see people preferring ACA to Obamacare when they are the same thing - it really makes one wonder about people! (Perhaps they would be better off giving their pets power of attorney!). As for Bitcoin - I had never heard of it before - but no surprise to hear Rush Limbaugh supporting it!

LOL, Pat, I like that idea.....pets having power of attorney! Uh, don't talk to me....talk to my Pit Bull over there....he signs all my papers. ROFLMAO.

Saw that Warren clip...I was like....you go, girl!!!! Tell um like it is. I want to see her go far in politics...if she can keep from being corrupted like so many have become.

Bitcoin.......are we really that surprised that the low-life's, hacksters and the scammers would hi-jack it? I'm not. Dawg forbid anyone make a trade deal honestly and cleanly without someone coming along and f***ing it up for everyone else. Greed....gotta love it.....NOT!

This is the largest the government and economy on the planet and we have ideologues running the train. I do believe we must now force the passage of both a law to over - ride Citizens United and not allow the House to ever again hold hostage the United States of America to get their shiny object of the day.

The cartoon is perfect - the Republicans are beyond disgusting and annoying - the country is a mess. Any one of my cats could do a better job than Agent Orange...

If it's called "Obamacare" they hate it. If asked about ACA they're ok with it. That what I call pure and simple, Under the surface RACISM and TOTAL STUPIDITY. JON STEWART hit the nail on the head in his clip.

Everybody needs to take note of the power of language as a propaganda tool. Obamacare vs. ACA is a good example. The extreme idiots are always belly-aching about "the spending" just has to stop. Government is too damn big! To these pin heads, the Trans-Pacific Partnership probably sounds warm and fuzzy and inclusive. What's not to love about "free trade"? The deceptive use of language is one of the most useful tools of scoundrels.

Puzzle — 3:17 I am quietly sitting on the bridge enjoying the view and trying to get my breath. I have a bad cold that won't let me sleep or breathe!

MSNBC — Un-freakin-believable! With a such a lack of knowledge, how has the US managed to stay afloat 237 years? If this is "American exceptionalism" (yes I know what American exceptionalism is) at its best, no wonder the Republicanus/Teabaggers hold the House!

Rawstory — To me, it is apparent that the Republicanus/Teabaggers see the budget and the debt ceiling as entwined and they are treating it as a game to be won or lost.

"House Republicans’ insistence on linking the two meant no budget bill could pass the Congress, forcing the White House to shut down large parts of the federal government for lack of funds.

But their high risk, high profile effort reaped the Republicans nothing but public opprobrium, leaving them to turn to the debt ceiling to leverage some face-saving concessions from the White House."

Listen to Senators McTurtle and Paul talking supposedly privately in the video at this link Senators McTurtle and Paul talking privately

Senator Paul: "… we're going to win this…"

Too bad that the American people that these politicians claim to represent are the ones that will lose if the Republicanus/Teabaggers persist in their seditious actions. What a bunch of assholes!!!

Salon.com — I had heard the name `bitcoin`but knew next to nothing. However, hearing that there is criminality behind it, hardly surprises me to hear Limbarf supporting it.

Cartoon — I wonder how long before the Republicanus/Teabaggers say "I didn`t know the gun was loaded."? I hope the Republicanus/Teabaggers end up `committing suicide`.

A lot of people in other countries just think we are insane at this point. I saw a news reporter discussing it on Al Jazeera news (good reporting, in case someone here hasn't checked them out yet. Them and the BBC are staples for me, since stuff like FOX is just poison at this point) and Europeans don't even understand HOW this could happen. The Republicans say Obama makes us look weak? Try looking like insane, gibbering, cowardly, idiotic schoolyard bullies. How's that for weak? I definitely agree. It's insane. Thanks for the post, Tom! Keep fighting the good fight! :)

Vote all republicans out of office in every state at every opportunity. They have become radicalized by the Tea Party and are crippling America.
