Andy Borowitzí column isnít a parody except for the last paragraph, itís a description of reality as it should be. Apart from the repeal of course, thatís not even funny.

Better send Harry your cartoon of the ObamaBalls, TomCat. The Republicans have been changing the rules in the House as it suited them and without the Democratic members even knowing about it, so why do the Democrats continue to play nice all the time? Get those judges voted in, the country is in desperate need of impartial, competent judges in ALL courts.

Fingers crossed that Bernie Sanders makes the right decision when it has become clear which candidates are in for the race. But as Bernie is one of the few more socialist voices out there, he is sure to do what is best for the country and not for the honour and glory of Mr. Sanders himself.

You taught me a history lesson today, TomCat. I didnít know the US didnít sign the Versailles treaty. The consequences of not doing so have been terrible, but I know very few people over here realize that. History may (partly) repeat itself if the US doesnít stop itís navel staring (is that an American expression, I wonder) and understands itís becoming isolated again and countries like China and Russia are warming up at the sideline to take over.

Of course the Republicans don't expect any blocks to their nonsense, let's hope Harry finds the courage to do just that, knock them on their lead bottoms. I love, love, love Sanders but if he runs I doubt he'd win and would take votes from a Democrat and could we end up with Crazy Cruz, Lying Ryan or the Wonked Walker? We just can't let that happen.

Are those gold plated in honor of the issues rooted in when we went off the gold standard under Nixon?

(Scrabbling around in my well-worn bag of goodies here by my chair).....oh, here they are....here give these to Leg Hound Harry...these are 100x the size he currently owns and they aren't plaited, they're SOLID Titanium! He'll need a wheelbarrow to lug them around in, but hey, they are useful to have. He's gonna need 'em.

Are we liking our Fascism yet? Only the arrogant and the willfully ignorant do not learn from history....Rethuglinazi's have never learned and have always, and will always, have delusions of grandeur. Republican Party (et. al.) = FASCISM. Always has and always will. They must never, NEVER access the Oval Office again.

Love me some Bernie, always will. BUT, if he were to run he will split the party and lose us the WH to something far more evil than Dubya. We cannot allow that to happen. Warren, though I like her a lot, is not ready for the WH. She needs more time under her belt for that. VP is another matter. I know and understand deeply how Bernie feels right now, but we cannot, cannot risk losing the presidency to the other side.....because, I fear, that happening would be the final nail in our so-called 'Democracy' and the end of 'electing' Presidents. Just my feelings today.

I think Andy gave the President the words we all felt he wanted to say and maybe should have said. How Obama continues to deal with the whining, the complaining, the nasties, the moaning and groaning, the pretend-religious patriots....is all beyond me.
I doubt Bernie would split the party but I bet he could have some great fun pretending he would run for Prez. I'd love to see Elizabeth Warren be our first female president... either one would drive the GOP to the brink... heh heh.

New Yorker: So true, Mr. President,we understand your frustrations, even if Andy did put words in your mouth. Good cartoon also. Do hope that you get some rest from your neighbor, take care, rest, and Thanks, Tom.
