I didn't expect the turkey to be so popular just after Thanksgiving. Were Americans so hard hit in 2013 that they had to make do with the leftovers? I do hope I'm not making a fool of myself if this isn't a joke but close to the truth for some.

We ate out Christmas Eve. Had a calorific pasta dish with shrimp. Came back to my apt. and opened gifts and killed a whole bottle of eggnog, the kind with bourbon, rum and brandy. Needless to say, I didn't feel so good all night or the next day. Party at friends on Christmas Day with so much food. I basically drank coffee.

Usually have a standing rib roast,
and trimmings, but, this year went
to "Stone Island" with another 16
or so folk and had a seafood
fiesta. It was delicious.
Happy New Year
