I hope your food stock is going to last you long enough to sit this ‘little ice age’ out and recuperate a little, TomCat. Being ice bound may have its advantages: being able to take it slow, to see the cars slide sideways in the street and to take pictures of your cat box. Nice set-up, by the way.

Daily Kos: Good, the Democrats aren’t taking it any longer and are fighting the lying and spying partisan old-boys club tooth and nail. Not only do they expose the backhanded dealings of the IRS auditor George and chairman Issa to drum up the next phony IRS scandal, targeted at – guess what – the ACA, but they also filed a former complaint against George with the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency. Kudos to Cummings, Connolly and Cartwright. Connoly especially seems to have grown Obama balls.

Alternet: It must have been hard to pick one of the ten Republican nut-cases and hatemongers listed this week, TomCat. Some of them you’ve already exposed, so Ben Shapiro and his demented logic were a good choice. Poor Philip Seymour Hoffman, he must be spinning in his grave. Not only are these disgusting, shameless creatures after him for being a junky, now he’s also being attacked for his political views: his sensible stance on politics killed him. I’d be throwing up if it wasn’t so utterly insane.

Crooks and liars: It is really amazing how Beck and Scalia can turn the world upside down and accuse anyone that doesn’t agree with THEIR way of thinking of trying to force this deviance down their throats. Most amazing of all is how the project their WISHFULL thinking (interring deviants in concentration camps) on them and then accuse them of wishing it. The most hilarious is that they think their way of thinking represents that of the majority of Americans “which Obama could have united” with the deviants (the minority) by accepting them as the truth. If this is what Scalia really has said, what is this man still doing on SCOTUS?! He should be locked away in an old-peoples-home with the rest of the dangerously demented.

On GOPers: severe dysfunction...experiencing rapid deterioration of cerebral processes due to morbidity = what happens when you believe in fear ridden greed mongering nonsense. They're not even able to do basic computations ... ie. NOBODY OWNS creation ... nor any part of it. GOP dream and vision: One doped and diseased nation under GOP stupidhood ... a complete sad and sorry waste of time ...

No metaphor: GOP & Assoc. need to be billed for ALL the wasted time and dollars they cost this nation each day. That would easily eliminate deficits and the faux budget crises. . .

Their magical market "job creators" can cover the expense with all that hoarded capital the little scaredy-cats have and refuse to spend. Ever heard such convoluted bunk? Companies, jobs and peoples' livelihoods all have to die on a moment's notice -- it's just venturing and the natural wonder filled "magical market" waving wands effects! Learn to go with it folks! But don't expect the magical "job creators" to "go with" anything especially investing and creating any new jobs -- if they are even the least bit uncertain about how those magical market wands will wave! Come on now... that's just too big a risk for anyone to ask a responsible fearful hoarding capitalist to take. Job killed ... lost your home ... no healthcare ... no food? Be resourceful for "magical markets" sake! Recycle! Tie up those frayed laces on your worn out 2nd hand boots ... put up a tent ... find a dumpster! Don't disturb the "job creators" ... they're too busy building more chlorinated pools to float their diseased bioforms in...

“The economy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the environment, not the reverse.” ― Herman E. Daly

Thank-you for special view of the helm box ...

SSDD.....

Their 'projection' is EXACTLY what THEY want to do to US......why is looking more and more like....Nazi Germany in AmuriKKKa? Because it is....and we, 'normal' people had better wake up and smell the crematories...before it is too late to do anything about it. These sick n twisted sociopathic nut cases need to be dealt with NOW instead of later. Scary isn't it, how Bent Beck and Oberfuhrermeister Scalia are actually LISTENED TO!!!!! And, I live amongst them....sigh.

Everyone (of them) needs to leave Hoffman alone. He had a drug problem and he's dead. His politics had nothing to do with it, his need for escape did. Escape from what, we will never know. All we can do is mourn the loss, try to do something about the vast drug abuse problem in this country(which no politician really wants to address because the WHY of it has everything to do with people trying to escape their environments the only way they think they have) and let the man lie in peace. To speak ill of the dead is really bad Karma. some people don't know or understand that.....but they will, eventually. :)

5:14. The gold is lovely of course, but that iridescence from the eyes down to the nose is just drop dead gorgeous.

Kos - Formal compaint now filed with the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency calling for investigation. Good. I suppose it will end up at DOJ?

Alternet - Well, that's depressing. And overwhelming. I think I need to go watch this again just to clean off.

Crooks and Liars - Is this his way of saying "Come and get me; lock me up for my own safety"? Tempting as it is, I'm thinking we should not take the bait.

Cartoon - love it. Gives a new meaning to the term "selfie," doesn't it?

Puzzle — 3:32 See you later alligator. In a while crocodile!

Daily Kos — Issa is a sleaze ball! He is also the epitome of the Republicanus/Teabaggers who hold high family values as long as they are Republicanus/Teabagger values; who believe in winning at all costs and by whatever means necessary; who value greed above all else. I would dearly love to see Issa get his knickers in a twist . . . so twisted that they cut off the circulation to his pea sized brain!

Alternet — "Newsflash: Michele Bachmann is saying some crazy shit again. …" Again!? No, STILL!!!!! I know we have problems with Harper and his harlots, but damn! . . . the Republicanus/Teabaggers are nuttier than a whole plantation of peanuts! I think it is time to make the Republicanus/Teabaggers illegal! Only trouble, they'd show up under another name!

Crooks and Liars —

"I've listened to this clip five times and I still can't parse out what he's saying. All I can tell you is that there's some really stupid people out there taking this idiot seriously and think that the President is going to put them in some kind of deathcamp."

Nobody can understand what Beck is saying because he is unintelligible! But it is interesting that he should bring up internment camps because as I remember, it was and is members of the far right wing evangelical pseudo Christians, as well as members of the Republicanus/Teabaggers that preached building internment and death camps for the LGBT community.

Cartoon — Nice cat box! . . . but where are the pictures of your godcats? . . . Primo, Winnie and Annie?

I visited my babes yesterday for a few hours. Winnie was lying on my back enjoying a comfortable recline when he decided to jump up to the "second floor" kitty condo. Using me as a trampoline, he easily jumped up. Then when he was ready to come down, he jumped down onto my shoulders. Argh! We had lots of play and cuddles. They sure are being spoiled by their other godfather and his staff! I will very glad when we all can move back into the house when the renos are done. I hate sewer back ups!

Obama should have gotten rid of ALL Bu$h Leaguer$ on day one! He has the ability to hear from & choose the Best Minds on Every Subject, yet he chose not to rock the boat that was already sinking??? I Never Understood the reasoning there..:( It wasn't Smart – bipartisan suicide is not an option.

There is another name for bipartisanship: collaboration. And, despite all the heated rhetoric that either of the capitalist parties hurl at each other, the reality is that, when our only choice is either a free market toxic capitalist party -OR- a free market toxic capitalist party, then it shouldn't be all that surprising that the corporate agenda wins...and the people lose. All we can expect from the two party sham is more economic injustice, more environmental devastation, and endless war.

Oh puke. "Instead of taking the road Christ would take" ... I had to shut it off when I heard that. He's got a bad case of the pot calling the kettle black.

We got some rain down here, but it's still cold. Hope the weather improves for you soon. Although, it must be kind of nice not to hear traffic. Hope that COPD calms down soon. Nice cat box :-)

The effort to get rid of someone not in an appointee position can be tricky, time consuming and fraught with difficulties related to documentation of failure to perform adequately and/or follow the rules and policies, etc. unless there are infractions that may also be criminal (forms of theft or embezzlement).

Someone has an impeach Issa petition in that section of this website.

That kind of weather can be scary when atypical and public services have little experience coping and do not have the funded services and policies like where it is common.

Thanks everyone. On why Obama hasn't dumped this government troll, he had no idea the guy was there. JL is spot on, and it's not just him. There are thousands of them.

Brian, I hope you are not pushing third party foolishness. We only have the endless war, because foold voting third party made Florida close enough toe Bush to steal in 2000.

Glad ya'll like my box. :-)

Aren't you glad you don't think like a Republican?

Coming into our own little Ice Age here so I can relate, Tom - you are wise to stay inside. Now just feel better!

Thanks for the post, TomCat. You bury the Republicans quite nicely.

Thanks everyone! Burying Republicans would be more fun, if I did not have to clean the box.
