I strongly disagree! Jeb Bush should paint or do needlepoint or anything that keeps him away from politics. I don't know why Uncle Pat doesn't just hang around the stables grooming and cleaning tack. He should not speak in public anymore! And I see we are losing track of the sun again. Don't worry it will get back on track!

Cactus puzzle time 6:30. I think it's a hard one!

needed 2 vomit bags...one for Robertson, one for the "the creationist" trailer......Jeb would be a good painter if he would go and help President Carter and Habitat for Humanity....a GOP "Christian" that would finally truly care and do something for the poor.....

Andy Borowitz is funny but if I never heard or saw any Bush again, it would be fine with me.
Do you think these men like Robertson truly believe what they spew out or are they just needing the spotlight? Either way, they are disgusting creatures and the world would be so much more beautiful without them in it.

Glad you spared us a selfie after your nap, TomCats. Only kidding of course, I love your selfies and think you're a very handsome cat.

The New Yorker: Andy's brilliant again. This week the last page of our newspaper, where the stories and the cartoons are, 'featured' eight portraits of state leaders done by Jeb's brother, Dumbya. The best you can say is that his talents for presidency equal his talents for portrait painting and the portraits were bloody awful.
Andy's polls show that the majority of Americans have come to their senses and want Jeb to skip this whole candidacy bit and go straight into painting. That's a great idea and so for once I don't agree with you, TomCat.

Alternet: Where does Robert Sungenis get the money to have this bizarre fantasy and concoction of mined video clips made? It doesn't deserve the name documentary because it is all distortion, theft and deceit: most scientist had no knowledge of their clips having been mined and gave no permission to use them, Kate Mulgrew has already apologized for letting herself be mislead and doing the voice over. Most scientist appear of two minds, they'd like to sue but fear that this will only give more publicity to this monstrosity.
But then "About one in four Americans surveyed in a recent poll were unaware the Earth orbited the sun." That's what you get when schools are allowed to teach creationism in stead of science. With this 'documentary' as new classroom material soon one in three young Americans will think the earth is the centre of the universe. Goodnight, America.

Crooks and Liars: Please no more video clips of demented Pat Roberson calling for the next Jihad against Obama. I'm all out of barf bags and have to resort to triple bin liners now. Unless his Lord is calling on him really soon, his dementia will only grow worse and his tirades only more vile.

Cartoon: Your remark is spot on, TomCat. The treaty is obviously not ratified by all nations and not everyone that has, adheres to the ban or has cleaned up their own chemical weapons as agreed to. And for some, just selling it is also a way of complying.

New Yorker: Andy is so funny.! I think painting AND hot air ballooning would be good for Jeb. That way if he gets bored with one, he can do the other, and stay out of the loop.
AlterNet: One doc that I will not be watching. Kate Mulgrew: "I have no recollection of being interviewed for such a film, and of course had I known of its premise I would have refused." Lastly: .” There’s really no point in giving such a despicably anti-semitic and backwards-thinking person such as Sungenis any more of our time and attention." Source: http://www.geekosystem.com/kate-mulgrew-not-geocentrist/
Crooks and Liars: Pat Robertson IS a 'Disaster', no doubt about it.!!
I do hope that you are not overdoing your daily tasks, and if you are, then a Cat siesta is in order. Have a great day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

One in four are unaware the Earth orbited the sun?!!!! That is scary. This amount of ignorance explains a lot about our problems. And Pat Robertson needs to go somewhere quiet where he can slop his cocoa in peace and stay there.

5:51 Hey, it hurts to handle those spikes.

New Yorker - I agree with Dave C (Care2) that it would be great if he would just go paint houses for Jimmy Carter (Habitat for Humanity) - and stay the whatnot OUT of politics!

Alternet - Well, TC, you may be happy to see this then. (Headline: OH THANK GOD: Kate Mulgrew Is Mad About the Geocentric Documentary, Too/All you people who called her "too stupid to live" should probably apologize.) So, does this dude think because the word "sun" is in hus name he has a direct line? Speaking of which, it kind of concerns me that "Sungevity" sounds so much like him, amd I hope it doesn't hurt their business.

Crooks and Liars - You know, never in my lifetime, and I am 68, have I heard a church leader pray for the death of a leader, any leader. There used to be a saying, which I can't google because all the key phrases have been stolen for titles, that the flower of evil never grows so strong (and I might add so seductively) as in the shadow of the altar. Not an excuse but something of an explanation why "Christians," particularly RICH "Christians, are so often pure evil.

Cartoon - But isn't the GOP still using it?

Pat Robertson has LONG been known to be a very sick man! Even if one gives credence to the story that he got into religion because he saw it as a good place in which to make money; because in that case, he evidences sociopathic thinking.
If he actually believes the crap that he's spewed, for years, he's a sick, deluded, man.
Is it possible that the Koch boys are funding the imbeciles that spew this BS, such as, "There can't be global warming, God would not allow that." Any of the literalist biblical thinking supports the Koch boys activities, in that same way: no negative consequences can occur, and by the way God gave us the Earth to do with what we please.

My wicked side is conjuring images of burning Bush(es)--so Biblical and more appropo than taking us back to the Dark Ages to try to crucify the Gallileos of this time and place. Does someone believe their interpretation of the Bible trumps property rights laws?

In the elderly, UTIs and insufficient blood flow to the brain can appear like under the influence, too--the kindest thing I can think to say about Pat.

If they were banned in 1972, why is Monsanto still using them against us?

Puzzle — 3:16 I got the point! Anyone else?

The New Yorker — Anything to keep him away from the White House! Like his big bro', the Peter Principle is in full effect. Incompetence, thy name is Bush.

Alternet — What the Republicanus/Teabaggers do well to a fault . . . lying and using things out of context. Where is that little thing called "truth"?

Crooks and Liars — Robertson might be praying for Obama's removal, might be asking God to deliver the people from this president, but everyone else is praying for Robertson's removal from the air waves and the downfall of these pseudo Christians.

Cartoon — The GOP is a biological weapon. Time to take the trash out!

I hope you got some rest today, you need it.

The New Yorker: I agree with Barbara Bush, we don't need anymore Bushes in the White House! I hope he does take up painting.

Alternet: I am really disappointed in Kate, didn't realize she was one of "them". Of course, they have taken quotes out of context, they either do that or make them up to prove their points all the time.

Crooks and Liars: I could not get sound on the video, but I am fairly certain I know what was said. Iget emails and messages on Facebook all the time alleging that Obama is a Muslim out to destroy the country. Barf bag alert is right.

Cartoon: Of course they sold Hussein weapons, they would probably sell them to Putin, too.

The others are right – he should paint houses for Habitat for Humanity – it would do so much lesd damage than his other activities!

Kate Mulgrew aka Capt Janeway – what a horror, narrating the voiceover to that tripe – yuk!

Have just read Joanne D's piece about Kate Mulgrew, and am very glad she has said she was misled - but why on earth did she do the dratted thing in the first place? We don't go round doing things as stupid as that - well, not in public anyway(!). #

You'd have thought she would have said something on the lines of 'I'm sorry but there has been a misunderstanding - I cannot put my name to this project.' - as it is she has gone on and done it - and very few people will hear her explanation - and millions more think she supports that rubbish!

If I were doing the Meow-over for a documentary, I'd want to know what it was about first.
