Wow TC that is one of you most funny cartoons. Overall it's not good to mess up executions but for burying someone alive I am hardly care.

Pterois and moray puzzle time; 5:12.

If Bush runs and wins I hope to G-d I drop dead.

Oh the Far Reich just beggar belief, don't they – thanks for this TC, I missed the article and particularly loved this glorious sentence on global warming -

"That one article in 1975 was so brilliant, that it has managed to disprove over 33,000 scientifically researched papers written since."

Brilliant!

Catch up with some sleep when it cools down, TomCat, but don't forget to order your AC, otherwise the temperatures will shoot up again.

NY Time: After Daddy Bush I thought Americans wouldn't be so foolish to go for his son, but they did. After the first term of Dubya I thought Americans couldn't be so stupid to vote him in for a second term, but they did although some serious polls fraud was needed. And now you have John who wants to be called Jeb, even though his own mother said that Pop and Bro was enough for the White House and his brother has been convicted as a war criminal on Asia, and I don't know what to expect. I know, however, what to think: if the GOP was allowed to rig the votes again in the different states and the opposition of the Democrats to a third Bush is so weak that he's chosen, then America gets the president it deserves. And woe comes upon the rest of the world. PIGNocchio is in fact Bush IV in disguise, so get going Democrats, make sure that all the GOPers who can be voted out in November are indeed voted out in November.

The New Yorker: I fully agree with you, TomCat, Andy has left out all satire here and just given us a truthful description of a very ugly reality.

Daily Kos: Funny how Republicans with Koch money bulging out of their pockets (or from any 1%-er, it doesn't matter) rather accept some weird conspiracy theory than the facts laid down by 33.000 scientific papers. Do you think they get paid by the paper?

Cartoon: Chilling. This execution is still making headlines in Europe with more horrifying details becoming known.

Time 3:54 - dad gumit!!! That was tough going.

Andy forgot to mention that this coalition of loving millionaires have decided that $10.10 is probably an acceptable daily wage, if the "entrepreneurs" do not object. Papa John has already registered his complaint. "Ten dollars and ten cents per day should not be a required salary, some of these people don't even work a full 12 hour day."

I agree with Jeb's mother. We have already had enough Bushes and the weeds they bring with them. Bush or Christie, both a bridge too far, and both seem to miss the required rhetoric for a really crazy tea baggin' lunatic. These guys have made attempts in the past to seem slightly able to make compromises, that will never do for a national presidential election.

George Will, the right wing "brain" must be correct, forty years of scientific work for the single purpose of advancing a non-existent plan to grow the government. Wow! This is the republican brain on self generated flatulence. Actually this is so transparent. Just be a booster and whore for the Oil, Gas and Coal industry and you too can be the republican mental load of dog poop. It's getting boring now, the polls are losing both the ice and elasticity of the ice caps, meaning we might just be at the point of no return. In much smaller doses but with tragic results we have seen the results of blind trashing of an Eco-system. When earlier civilizations slashed and burned trees, not for farming land but for the heat to melt limestone and paint structures, the civilizations began to erode, turn inward and self destruct.

Water is the final essence of life, and we are allowing, intentionally, our few secure water resources to be fully corrupted. No matter how many water rights are stolen, in the end even billionaires will find that as unlikely as it seemed, they too are human and need water.

Oklahoma has the perfect face and voices for their beliefs, Fallon and Coburn, neither possessing even a modicum of human compassion or empathy. Makes me wish that ghosts and karma were real, Fallon should be haunted to the end of her days and be returned again and again as Clayton Lockett, struggling to fight for a breath of life, fully awake and aware. I do not believe for a moment that the vein blew, that is an easy cop-out. Noticed even by incompetents within seconds. (I am not in favor of the death penalty being used willy-nilly, though this man is a poster boy for the death penalty, if it had been done honestly and correctly.) Reporters at the execution with experience at witnessing these things reported an aggressive, even gleeful attitude by those conducting the execution.

Relax and enjoy your day, TC.

5:40 When an eel has a jaw like an alien's maw, that's a Moray.

NY Times - Stand Your Ground itself is bad enough, but the way he did it is even scarier. No one in Florida wanted it. There was opposition from every group including gun owners and law enforcement. Only the Koch Brothers wanted it. He pushed it through for them over eyeryone's objections. I don't even get why they Kochs wanted it; I mean, I don't see the money in it - did they just push it because they could? I think maybe we ought to start spreading the story now, preemptively, because the thought of him as a candidate is really, really scary.

New Yorker - I suspect the only satire is the phrase "Leaving behind their mansions and yachts." They didn't have to do that, so they didn't.

Daily Kos - But that is just what they are doing with the economy, except for real. Their continua; hammering at the deficit and how poor we are is just an excuse to screw the poor, women, people of color, gays, worthwhile programs in the arts and sciences, National Parks, drinking water, clean air. So naturally they project that onto us. What else is new?

Cartoon - Nice flag, dude.

I hear the UN is saying that the execution of Mr. Locket might have amounted to "cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment according to international human rights law"....form NY Times

wow....I didn't know that scientists were so power-hungry or evil....their desire to actually do good for human life, the future, health, etc is just a cover for their efforts to control the world............well if so then good for them......just wonder how Mr. Will and The Koch Brothers can face their grandchildren....oh well, brain of greed, heart of stone.

NY Times: Makes no never mind to me, re: Christie or Bush, both are scary people, if either run for the GOP.
New Yorker: Smack On, Andy. Downright wrong, sad and absolutely pathetic for the downtrodden of America.!!!
Cartoon: Pathetic, sickening, and very, very sad.
Do hope that you have a good rest of your day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

There are some scientists who come up with results based on where the money for the research comes from. All research should be looked at as to whether or not it is good research based on who paid for it. Common sense tells us that more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will cause less oxygen. That alone should be enough for people to realize we need to quit using fossil fuels, clean up our ocean, and start planting more trees.

Another Bush would be enough to send me over the top. If people in this country are stupid enough to want another one in office, after what the last two did, we are in BIG trouble. Worse than I had ever imagined. The man is the reason his brother even got into office. He is just as much a puppet of the rich as the others. And that is probably why the Republican Party wants him. Democrats will have to unite in untold numbers to make sure there is NO chance of another Bush.

We put animals to death really easily, why not people? I guess the adrenaline running through the human body which has a mind that knows it is being put to death might have something to do with it. If you can't do it fast and painless, you can't do it. Not and still be a civil society. That news from OK was disgusting, sickening, very, very sad. Yes, the man was a horrible human being, but good people don't do that kind of thing to other people. Period.

Too damn true, Andy. Where the satire?

For once, John 'Jeb' Bush should listen to his mother, ole Bulldog Babs. Do not run. America has indeed had enough of the Bush Crime Family. Should he run and Dawg forbid, (cough cough hack spit) 'win' (yeah, like his lil bro did in Florida and in Ohio, need I elaborate...thought not) I think we would see not only the end of this nation as a democratic Republic, we would see Civil War....or maybe not....maybe just in pockets here and there. Riots, definitely. I do not think America will take it laying down for a THIRD time. He is a sick, sociopathic POS FASCIST just like his ole grandpoppy Prescott...only, like you suggest, Cat Man, he has the cultivated look of 'Normal' as would his dictatorship. We cannot let this happen peeps.

Mad Scientists taking over the US of A.......please let it happen. At least then, we would not be dogged with the likes of Crackhead Cruz, Paul Ayn Rand Ryan, Mr. McTurtleMan, the Boner, Rand 'Son-Of-Idiot' Paul, et al. We would have SANE people running things. But I know, I am dreaming. 39 yr old 'evidence' pla-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeze......

Oklahoma, and its governator and it's people who voted that witch into office, should forever bow their heads in shame and guilt for the rest of their unnatural lives. But they won't. They have no empathy, no morality and no souls. Sociopaths. The dead feel no pain but the getting there hurts like a MFer. I HATE the death penalty for one sole reason alone. The dead feel no pain, no remorse, no guilt, no shame, no anything. LIFE in prison WITHOUT the possibility of parole, to me, is a far cry better than putting them to death, which solves nothing and does not bring the victim back and does not give 'closure' to the living. But that's just my 2/100ths of a damn.

Andy continues to hit too close to the truth. And if there were no other place in the world, I would not buy pizza from Papa John's.
We've already had Larry and Curly in the White House...must we suffer with Moe, too? Another Bush would just about kill the country for sure.

Puzzle — 3:09 Yeh, but I got there before you Patty! Don't worry, I'll share the feast with you guys! Now where is that Critter?

NY Times — A 3rd Bush in the White House? I don't think the country could stand that, and especially since he is a Republicanus/Teabagger. But Christie is no better. Christie does however make a bigger target, and I don't refer to his size.

New Yorker — There is no way that millionaires etc would gather to march. They would be taken as the publicans they are, the rich welfare queens/kings. They send others to do their bidding.

Daily Kos — I wonder what the naysayers would say to this: If we continue to pollute the waters and air, especially the air with thick particulate matter, it will block the sun and we WILL HAVE a solar winter . . . damn cold!

Cartoon — So representative. So sad.

Even if Congress refuses to raise the National minimum wage, several states and cities have already decided it's the right thing to do and have raised their minimum wage rate. Since Congress is run by millionaires and billionaires, guess the only way to get this taken care of is to start at the city level and work up.
Great cartoon. Always enjoy doing the puzzle. Thanks, TomCat.

The next time a Republican gets into the White House, just put a bullet into my brain pan, okay? Please?

Both Johanns and Fischer voted against the minimum wage hike, big surprise there, huh? But the greedy b*****ds won't turn down the $2,800 cost-of-living adjustment set to kick in on Jan. 1, 2015.

NY Times: We need to publicize his faults as miuch as we can because he is thought to be a "reasonable" man and his marriage to a Latino makes him attractive to the Latino vote. God help this country if we get another Bush in the White House. We have barely survived the first two.

The New Yorker: You are right, TC, this was not satire, but plain truth. I still don't understand why so many Kentuckians keep voting for Mitch. We are a blue collar state, and he has done NOTHING to help the poor or middle class.

Daily Kos: If they admit that global warming is real, they will lose all the money they have invested in fossil fuels and all the campaign donations they receive from the polluters.

Cartoon: A disgrace on all of us that this could happen.

TC, I hope your apartment has cooled off and you get some rest

Sad fact is, Jeb is the son they
were grooming to be president.
He is also, scarily, smarter then
"W".
"OK, Andy, I give up. Where’s the satire?"
Exactly TC, exactly.....
Love puns, so loved Joanne Dixon's
"When an eel has a jaw like an alien's maw, that's a Moray."
Moray done killed me cause I'm
too slow, too slow.......
