Every week, Republicans join a competition to see who can say the most outlandish things, and in the process, every week they push the the envelope on just how despicable InsaniTEA can become. I trust that you will believe it when I tell you that last week was no exception.

"TweedleDuh and TweedleDumb." ~ LOL, so they are - I think they all have some disease that the CDC should know about so it can isolate them in a galaxy far, far away.....

Every week I debate with myself if I'm going to read the long list of GOP outrages or not. "Do I need to exercise my blood vessels or not," that is the question I ask myself and also "What are the chances the blood pressure is going to pop an artery this time?". Usually I do go in, because nothing like the US GOP gives me the workout I need.

I'm either getting rather blasť or very fit, because with Erick Erickson trumping Rick Perry my blood pressure didn't get nearly as high as usual. Their homophobia is as bad as it ever was, but their rhetoric is getting repetitive and boring especially if they are just repeating a buddy to give him some backup he didn't need. I think Erickson red his master's memo to support one of their own too late and didn't even bother to see what the status was. Shows us and their voters how much interest they have for what is happening in their party.

But I sure got enough exercise when I read what Donald Trump entered the competition with. It's really unbelievable what a man can get away with if he has enough money. The city of New York should have cougher up the $ 40 million settlement for wrongfully influencing the jury and judge. Thank goodness they didn't sentence those five to death as he wanted them to.

Sorry, bad editing, should have been: The city of New York should have HIM cough up the $ 40 million settlement ...

Anything that comes out of Der Fuhrer Perry's mouth is a lie, he only thought better of it because he want to run for the Head Fuhrer spot in 2016.

As far as anything that comes out of the triple D's (Duck Dynasty Dumbass) spewhole is just that....spew. He and his whole clan make me hurl. Self-righteous hypocrites.

There are so many this week. George Will. He's 73. Could he have Alzheimer's? Because, though he was always wrong-headed, he was not always outrageous. One of the thinks that occurred to me while reading his column was, TC, I think it was you who made a comment about how idiotic medical doctors in Congress can be. But if medical schools have been recruiting rapists (as long as they don't get charged), this could be an explanation. Kinda makes you want to think twice before going to a doctor, doesn't it, ladies? And law school - no wonder the legal profession has a poor reputation.

Cheney - "The arsonists want to know why you haven't put out the fire yet."

Erick Erickson is no Erik Erikson. I'll bet he thinks he is, though.

Meadows - Sorry, I'm speechless. Today.

Trump - That rat in the cartoon on Open thread - that's not his hairpiece, is it?

Steve King - I realize when we are talking about Republicans, especially Tea Party Republicans it is not a given, but it would be nice if a Congressional Representative knew something about the law. Removing trademark protection (correctly, from a name and logo that are racial slurs) does NOT mean they can't use them. It just means that in case of piracy (which could happen even with something so despicable if there is money to be made - greedy people don't care about something being despicable) you don't get the power and resources of the government backing you to protect you. You are on your own. Yes, this is a blow, but it does not prevent Dan Snyder from hanging on to the filth. It's not a dictatorial decision. It's "Call it what you like, but the taxpayers aren't going to pay for it any longer."

And the Republicanus/Teabagger beat goes on . . . and on . . . and on . . . and on . . . ad nauseam! Just when you think you've seen the depths of stupidity and depravity from the GOP, they prove that they can sink lower, again! There is a great need to fight the pollution that these idiots spew!

A Yvonne --- As I understand things in the US, Faux Noise is not breaking the law with their interpretation of the news, so their license can't be pulled for that reason. In Canada, as part of the Canadian Radio Act, all news must be factual and correct --- in other words sources checked etc. An opinion, which is the best you could call Faux Noise, must be clearly labelled as such. We don't have Faux Noise here because they could not qualify for it. It does however come in by satellite however. As I understand from some of my American friends along the border, they will turn to the Canadian news because they trust it more.

I am absolutely going to have to read these posts earlier, I get so angry at the imbeciles who are polluting our airways, print, and congress, that I go to bed seething. Each and every one of those listed in the Alternet article need to be deported to a desert island with only themselves, and a full vegan diet until they learn to be people. George Will has gone from being a respected columnist to a crazy old man. Trump has never had an excuse for his thoughts, still don't understand how he got so rich. sent as many stars as I could, great comments tonight.

I am no longer shocked or amazed at the level of stupidity exhibited in the statements made by spokespersons of the republican party, what I am shocked and bewildered by is that there is a large segment of our society that apparently agree with their ignorant remarks otherwise I don't think they would continue to vote republican.

Edie - my friends and I have had to do the same thing - we can't look at such vicious stupidity after a certain time or we fume and can't sleep either, so we have to try and look at them earlier in the day if we can! Thanks TC - glorious comments by people - brilliant, wish I had made them!

Amazing how idiotic republicans have become. To think at one time they were the progressive party. Now they are just the party for idiots.
