Usually Netroots Nation gets a lot of coverage, but war crimes by GOP Pootie and Butcher Ben have dominated the news cycle. However, What Elizabeth Warren had to say in her Keynote Address was far too important to miss. Warren knows far more than just the measure of Bought Bitch Mitch. The credit she gives to blogs and bloggers for the successes the left has had is spot-on. Here is her entire speech.

I love Elizabeth Warren – and this is her at her glorious best! God bless and protect her – wouldn't she make a wonderful President! Utterly excellent speech in every way!
I seem to remember seeing an article on Bernie Sanders saying that it would need something like 14 trillion dollars to restore the infrastructure ruined by years and decades of neglect – so why not spend the money and get America on its feet again and get everyone employed! (Surely that is better than giving trillions to banksters and billionaires)

Please clone Elizabeth in as many copies as you can and let us have some of them too.
With more people like Warren, Sanders and Reich America could turn that corner right now.

This is what the people are looking for, a clear message, one that relates to them, and not talking in circles or code words. This is why Bernie Sanders is so loved, both of them speak in ways that touch the hearts of the people in this economy who have been left behind or even crushed into the ground by the actions of those with Wealth.
There is no democracy in a Country that favors a few over the lives of the many. This rigged system has been going on for a long time now but it's only getting worse and not better but too many have drank the kool aid of the Atlas Shrugged and as she said, "I did it the rest of you are on your own."
Those with money already had advantages to continue on in that lifestyle but those who don't few can ever get a leg up, becoming harder all the time. There use to be a better playing field for all, but that has gone. With the students paying off their debts for attending school well into their later years; they can't get out on their own many delaying marriage......that is if they can even get a Higher Education today. This forces more into the low wage service jobs that are the fastest growing of jobs whereas the jobs many people had worked in for good wage are gone and not returning.
Too many youth can't launch and us older ones are having to take care of ourselves on less at the same time trying to assist our youth that fail to find living wage jobs or any job for that matter, or while they are paying off these huge debts with incomes that do not support themselves many times even with an education. Even Adjunct Professors are being paid low wages between $20,000 and $25,000 annually....that is disgraceful.
A Populace Movement is growing and will continue to grow because our Government is not working for the "We The People" but only for those Corporate people. We must unify under a lot of banners and this will give us strength in numbers. Whether we are Elders trying to survive on Social Security or watching our pensions be slashed, the students with high debts, the many stuck in low wage jobs without benefits, the small farmer, the minorities, the women's whose rights to their own bodies under attack, the children who suffer when the educational system isn't properly funded while the teachers are made the scapegoats, we are all in this one together. She related that at the end......we sink or swim together.

jess b says "What did she have to say about the siege-assault on Gaza? Seems like she tried to run from the question, maybe a smart move, at the time?"
She has said she is NOT runnung for President. She is not required to express an opinion on everything exactly since she is not running for President. I would love to have her as President too. I am not sure I could survive the stress of her campaign though. But it's a decision I trust her to make.

Love Warren. You want to see nasty go to Politico articles about Warren and read th comments. Nothing enrages Republicans more than a woman sticking up for the middle class.

I absolutely love this woman. She is the only politician outside MN to whom I gave money and to whom I get regular mailings from. She's said no to 2016 many times, I know we need her in the Senate, but she is SO right on every issue I believe in that I would be enormously pleased to help elect her President in two years time. Or whenever she decides to take that office. Because once she decides, she WILL win. Because she stands for everything that was great about America and should be once again. She is a woman for the 21st century and she has her finger not only on the pulse of progressivism but of America. She is a tireless wonder and her love for all the people of this country and her knowledge of what we need to do is enormous. But she MUST have a House and Senate controlled by her party - if she does, we will finally begin moving forward once more in ideas and in action. The people will prosper and so will America with her at the helm. She's doing great work in the Senate and she is destined for much greater affect, I fully believe that. I want her to be the first female President, she'll set a standard so high, men will spend the rest of the century trying to reach that bar - and fail. Because men do not have the strength of will and character this remarkable woman does. If they did, all those things she enumerated as wrong in our society today would not be so. It is men who created this monster, it will take women to tame and teach it manners. She will only be the first. And we will fight for that too.

I love Elizabeth Warren! I wish she would run for President - with Dennis Kucinich as VP! But I fear the Democratic Party big wigs would never allow Real Liberals in the White House..:( The RepubliCONs are hateful, anti-women, anti-Everything..but the Democratic Party is more insidious - it undermines its own base too often. If the Party does NOT run Real Progressives this time, then I'm gone. I've been voting since 1974, raised by Democrats & raised Democrats...but the 21st Century has been too retro in all the wrong ways!

I agree Joanne, what Elizabeth Warren is trying to do is bring back the Democracy to the "We The People". That means sometimes one has to pay attention to what is happening in their own backyard and fix what is here in the short term in order to have better policies in foreign relations down the road.
If she strays too far off topic it only once more is a divide and conquer tactic. You are either for or against one or the other.....I don't think that we need for her to jump in the arena on that subject at this time when we need her to help us move in a direction that pulls the 99% out of a rigged system and many who are living in poverty on par with many 3rd world Countries. Fixing a system that is askew has a direct impact on how we are as a Nation on many things inside and outside of our Nation.
There are a "few" controlling all aspects of our Country that impacts on every level.......I think she is playing it "safe" but in that respect she is playing it "smart". I know that Gaza is a major concern for you Jess, but we also must keep our fighters from getting stuck in a quagmire who are on the topic she pushes that many of us need her to be on.
I also think she is smart to not run for President as much as I'd like her to, as her ability to raise her voice from her position is giving her a high visibility and way to get her message out to the masses. There is a pecking order in DC and I think she is wise enough not to in fact upset that apple cart while she is going after Wall Street and the Banksters. She needs her fellow colleagues to support her on the domestic issues she has taken upon herself to fight for and educate others on as well. She won't get that if she alienates too many in DC or too many in the public by picking a side in a hotly contested area. I'm sure she'll do what she must if something is to come up for a vote in that area and will reflect her fairness and justice of people in general.
I'm also sure that the right wing is chomping at the bit to discredit her at any point, taking their orders from the Corporations, Banksters, and Wall Street who want to knock her off her perch since her message is getting out to the masses. Those Corporate People don't like that when the average American starts to "think" and go off on their own message and not the message of the 1%. So let us not throw fuel onto the fire on someone who is really sticking her neck out enough in some major ways for the 99% of us.

Warren is the answer to our prayers! I'd support her for Prez, just as I will support Hillary. Maybe we DO need Warren right now in the Senate but I'm hoping that EW will someday be our President. As The Dalai Lama said: "The World Will Be Saved By the Western Woman". Can you just IMAGINE Hillary and Elizabeth as Pres and VP?
Sunday July 20, 2014, 3:23 pm
It is rather amusing that when I opened up this page, the first thing I see is the very recognisable Elizabeth Warren with her thumb and index finger held up, and the word "McConnell". I immediately started laughing because she so easily could have been talking about McConnell's manhood! Hell I'm still laughing!
As I read the transcript, I could hear the determination and excitement in her voice. She tells it like it is in words that everyone can understand. She is not out to impress people with her words, but to inspire people to action. Let's face it, rhetoric doesn't go very far, but action does. If you lose a battle, it doesn't mean you've lost the war, just that you have to fight harder.
Sunday July 20, 2014, 6:34 pm
Gene, Yvonne,: so right!
Lynn, I expect that McConnell has no manhood, at all; that between he and Agent orange one might barely find a mini-mouse.
I have to bow to Yvonne's comment, as the Dems would not have the guts, or having the guts, one minute, would work to shoot themselves in both feet, if they managed to nominate Warren; really sad.

Love me some Liz!!!!!! I would vote for here at lightning speed. But, even though I want her to run SO BAD, as VP or Prez with Sanders/Kucinich/write in name here Real Progressive, even with Hillary...I don't care who at this point, ANYONE. Anyone would be better than the FFBB GOP alternative.
