Here is the fifty-ninth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican nominee for for the US Senate from Iowa Joni "Pig Nuts" Ernst. She is so honored for extreme TEAbuggery.

Besides being a nutcase and a sweet-smiling dumber-than-the-back-end-of-a-pig Teabagger(a literal translation again, I"m afraid), Joni Ernst is also an extremely slow reader: Agenda 21 apparently dates from 1992. So if she can get so worked up about something the UN threw together on a Sunday afternoon, between lunch and the next speaker, to kill time, she has earned her place in your parade, TomCat.
She's not worth the ballot paper her name was written on, but that didn't stop her winning the primaries (though she needed some help from Beck and Palin), but if she keeps spinning this conspiracy yarn, she might lose any credibility she has left and be pushed aside by... well, really anyone who thinks with the front end of said animal.

"This is Michele Bachman-esque, out-of-your-freaking-gourd territory. And no, this wasn't some one-off dalliance with the kind of conspiracy-mongering that you'd find in the barracks of a backwoods militia organization. "

Maybe it is something in the corn. Michelle was born in Iowa too. Given what has happened there in recent years, it would be a good idea to take her seriously, even when she can't possibly be serious though she is. Like Michelle...

I will never be able to take a parade seriously again.
Good thing I never liked them anyway.
Thanks TC, I think

Funny you should mention the corn, Gene
It's actually not far fetched. ..with the chemicals that are in corn these days puberty and senility might go hand in hand one day, I know I'm exaggerating, but ???

I read where she had backtracked on Agenda21 in an interview afterwards suggesting she knows better on some level and that it only holds water with certain narrow audiences. Trying to play it both ways should hurt her: let us see whether it does.

I agree. Bruce Braley, or the DSCC on his behalf, or Lawrence Lessig, need to get all over her. Same state as Steve King, whom we also need shut of.

Pig-nuts!! That about sums up the whole GOP bout now!!
So many governors under indictment! And they keep trotting them out for slaughter. Wonder how this out!!

"So when is Democratic Rep. Bruce Braley going to take the gloves off and expose her for who she is?"

Braley really needs to go to the attack armed not with lies, half truths and innuendo, but with the truth. He really needs to go after her disinformation and expose her for the nutter that she is!

Obviously, someone has made the Kool-aid stronger using Iowa GMO corn! . . . and Ernst drank the whole second batch. Steve King drank the whole first batch.

Thanks all. Stars all around. Kudos to Lona, Gene and Lynn.

Debra, on average, Pig Nuts slightly ahead of Braley. :-(
