4:40 I have no idea whether they are toxic.

For the love of heaven, be sure to rest after the ordeal.

PP - Acts of terrorism by governments have been committed by Republican Reichs (mostly ours.) Acts of terror by individuals have been committed by fascists - also mostly ours. (Though Daesh is also fascism, whichever box you want to put it into.)

Politico - I wonder how long he thinks he's going to have a campaign committee. As Amy McGrath says, "We'll see about that."

NY Times - The Party of Death indeed. How many people will even see this story? (And how many of those who do will be the kind of people who think that if you are in prison you must be guilty of SOMETHING?)

Cartoon - And anyone who could invent something so subversive would probably be PROUD to go down in history for that shameful reason alone. Faugh, as Shakespeare had Hamlet say.

RESIST AND PERSIST!

PPC: Good song. They should say 'Lying Their Way to Hell. Because that is what War is.

Politico: Living in a fantasy world. Telling and spreading falsehoods, as a Congressman, is deplorable. Lies do catch up with a person......

NYT: How pathetic and sad, that this is still going on. Yea, they'd like that, the Party of Death.

Cartoon: UGH!!!

Hope that all goes well tomorrow at your appointment. Do take good care, enjoy your evening, and Thanks, Tom.

Gerrymandering has been helping Rethuglicans for far too long. However, Democrats had better not get smug - they are guilty of the same.

PP: I’m really starting to admire these parody songs, both for their content and their musical expertise, so I wanted to know more about the guy behind it (it was clearly the same guy with different wigs on) and here is what I found in his site: "ABOUT THE PARODY PROJECT
The Parody Project was founded in August of 2017 by Film-maker/composer Don Caron, as a means of surviving the current political and social mire by laughing and helping others to do the same. Parody has been an active and important part of contemporary culture for centuries. Whether in literature, theater, film or art, rarely does a day go by when an example of a parody is not widely visible. And it can be seen as ridicule but it can also be viewed as flattery. How you choose to view it says more about you than it does about the parody itself."
He’s in our age bracket and obviously “one of us”. 😁

Politico: I bet that if they would follow the money, the main donors to Nunes’ campaign committee would be either the Kochs, Murdoch and/or Adelston, all hell bound on spreading Republican, i.e. fake news in a liberal state. There will always be people who listen to it, believe it, and make sure Nunes is reelected.

NYT: The GOP wants Gitmo open as long as possible, which Drumpf has now decreed, and those remaining there shut away from the world forever. Even if those last prisoners had gotten their plea deal and there would have been no trial which might have proven them innocent, they could have talked about their ordeal in Gitmo, and anything else they have witnessed, in the prisons they were subsequently sent to. Can’t have that now, can we.

Cartoon: Grrrrrr.

Good luck with your appointment on Monday, TomCat.

3:37. Hope all goes/went well with your eye appointment. Lots of rest...
PP: These guys are really good. And the lyrics are much too true. Thanks, Lona, for the information on The Parody Project.
Politico: And we try so hard to do things right. But with 30 plus million people, there are bound to be a few nut cases. So, California, be sure to vote Nunes OUT when you have the chance.
NYT: When Obama tried to close Gitmo, the GOP made it impossible. Now we may never see it close.
Cartoon: He probably had no idea it would be used this way. Still, another example of how people don't fully realize consequences.
Thanks for the post, TomCat.

PP: TC, we did it again! Lies, lies, and more lies. One can consider the GOPigs to be home grown terrorists, in their own right, as they have created situations that have led to the deaths, and maimings, of tens of thousands of Americans!
Politico: This is the next Rush Limbuagh show?
NYT: Son of a ….!
@Sheila: Yes, history turns on what at the time can seem like little nothings!
