AVI BioPharma gets Defense Dept. swine flu pact
22 Jun 2009 AVI BioPharma Inc. says it will receive up to $5.1
million under a contract with the U.S. government to develop swine
flu drugs. AVI disclosed May 5 that it entered into the contract
with the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency, a section
of the Department of Defense that focuses on chemical, biological,
nuclear and other weapons.
