Legislators in more than a half-dozen states, their revenues evaporating in the recession, frantically worked to stave off government shutdowns and devastating service cuts. CA didn't meet midnite deadline last night!

This news (new ion AP) makes me very worried for the state of our nation. States I was born in, grew up in, and presently live in are all states mentioned in this article. If they're on this list....how many are soon to follow? Where do we go from here?
