Obama's Acting Like a 10-Year-Old

US Politics & Gov't  (tags: Obama campaigning )

- 2029 days ago -
"When you act like that, when you blame other people and when you use profane language, and when you act like you're a 10-year-old, sometimes as in the debates, I don't think that independent voters and undecided voters are really moved by that.

And this from the mouth of Jeb Bush? I'd much prefer the 10 year old to the lying mouth and broom-up-the-butt stupidity of Obama's rival, thank you very much.

Are you the President, or are you an putting yourself out to the press as as idiot? If you refer this approach to re-electing a President, you are nothing but a sad voter, Roseann D. Arielle S., this makes you an even sadder voter.

Perhaps this article is a bit extreme but I cannot understand how the US citizens can still support a president who has not delivered on his promises, whose policies do not work and will never work. For example, the Obama Care plan is one that could work in a limited way in a small country, but for a country as big and as diverse as the USA, it is bound to fail. How do I know this? I've lived in 3 countries with nationalized medicine and only one was small enough to have it work effectively but, the cost in taxes for that country was phenomenal. In another the cost is supplemented by extra contributions and in the third the health plans are failing.

Obama's cover up in the Libyan attack is beyond excuse or forgiveness. Full stop!

Yet, even now, Obama's promises for immediate aid to the Sandy Hurricane victims are empty. Why America are so many of you still supporting ineffectiveness, derision and cover-ups? Does the USA think that any liberal stance is better than a conservative one, only because it it liberal? And, when it comes to women's rights are these more important than the rights of all citizens? What's wrong with women taking their reproductive rights seriously to the point of either paying for their own birth control or expecting their partners to share the cost? And, if they have many partners, shouldn't they be using protected sex methods? This is a mere trifle of the point when it comes to deciding important factors for electing a head of state who is to be admired world wide.

Then, in terms of the environment, can you really sell short any party who will have the funds raised to effect change? Certainly Obama has failed in this aspect as well. Yes, he tried, but the economic debt makes it impossible to move forward in great steps in this area as well. And, Solendra, what a fiasco that was. Why? Because there wasn't a well researched business plan and the parts were faulty.

My heart goes out to America. I have voted early, which was my right. I am a conservative who loves the environment, I love justice for all and I love the USA. I want to see the US back on track to being the best, most progressive, most caring, most prosperous land on earth. I can't see Obama bringing any of that about. He had 4 years to show the America and the world that he was the one to bring about the changes. How is it possible to ignore the facts that Obama hasn't fulfilled his promises. It's worse in all aspects in the USA than ever before and real change needs to happen - immediately. God Bless America... once again we can all help to bring this about.

Heidi, what a great post. I sent you a green star!

Obama is campaigning like a 10 year old. He looks extremely unpresidential and desperate. His entire campaign is ugly and empty. In contrast, Mitt Romney remains presidential because that is who he is to his core.

I love my country, too, and I know we have wasted four years with Obama. He was never qualified to run a company much less a country. It shows. The American people will do the right thing for all of us in a few days. Then it's "bye bye Barack and Michelle."

President Obama never should've been elected president in the first place. He had no experience. He never held a meaningful job in his life. Perhaps the reason he sealed all of his college records is because of his low GPA...we won't know the truth until he loses on Tuesday. Once he doesn't get re-election....the books will be hitting the shelves then you'll finally get to know The Messiah.

Stella, perhaps the reason you can't respond is because the truth is finally surfacing about Obama. If you look at his record over the four years....there aren't enough people around to blame for Obama's own actions. The country will soon be rid of him then we can get down to the business of running a country where people have great jobs, a good income and a future to look forward to. Obama brought a dark cloud over our country and it has lingered for four years due to the uncertainty and incompetence Obama brought to our White House. That will be corrected very soon.

(Just a couple of) the Obama Administration's accomplishments:

1. The first bill President Obama signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, to help women fight back when they don't get equal pay for equal work.

2. His Recovery Act supported millions of jobs and helped to stave off a second Great Depression.

3. He pushed for and won middle-class tax cuts that benefitted every American worker, and saved the typical family $3,600 in taxes over the last four years.

4. President Obama rescued the auto industry, and now GM and Chrysler are healthier than they've ever been. The American auto industry has added nearly a quarter of a million jobs since June 2009 -- and they most likely wouldn't exist right now without President Obama's leadership.

5. He doubled funding for Pell Grants, helping to make college more affordable for nearly 10 million families.

6. His student loan reform ended billions in subsidies to banks serving as middlemen and reinvested those savings directly into students.

7. The President established the American Opportunity Tax Credit, worth up to $10,000 over four years of college.

8. His Race to the Top Initiative helped spur nearly every state to raise academic standards.

9. His tax cuts, social-welfare programs, and economic policies lifted nearly 7 million Americans above the federal poverty line in 2010.

10. President Obama has signed 18 tax cuts for small businesses since taking office.

11. We've seen 5.2 million new private-sector jobs over the last 31 months.

12. The unemployment rate is at the lowest level since President Obama took office.

13. Health care reform -- passed after decades of failed attempts by every previous President -- provides affordable health coverage to every American and will lower premiums by an average of $2,000 per family by 2019.

14. Obamacare expanded access to lifesaving preventive care such as cancer screenings and immunizations with no out-of-pocket costs for 54 million Americans.

15. Obamacare ends insurance discrimination against the 129 million Americans with pre-existing conditions.

16. Because of Obamacare, over 3 million more young adults have health insurance today than would if the new law hadn't passed.

17. The parents of over 17 million children with pre-existing conditions no longer have to worry that their children will be denied coverage.

18. President Obama has ordered the overhaul of federal government regulations to make them smarter, practical, and more efficient. Just a fraction of these commonsense initiatives will help save businesses $10 billion in the next five years alone.

19. His historic investments in clean energy have helped more than double the amount of electricity we obtain from wind and solar sources and helped increase biofuel production to its highest level in history.

20. President Obama is doubling fuel efficiency standards, which will save drivers more than $8,000 at the gas pump, not to mention lessen the impact of automobiles on our environment.

21. President Obama has taken unprecedented action to address climate change, reaching historic international agreements to curb carbon emissions, and taking action here at home to reduce carbon pollution from our vehicles and promote clean energy production.

22. He has taken historic action to protect our environment -- signing one of the largest expansions of protected wilderness in a generation and putting in place standards to reduce toxic air pollution that will save thousands of lives.

23. President Obama fought for and won landmark Wall Street reform that reins in the abuses that led to the financial crisis and ends the era of taxpayer bailouts and "too big to fail."

24. Wall Street reform created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the nation's first federal agency focused solely on consumer financial protection -- and the Bureau is already protecting families from unfair and abusive financial practices from Wall Street banks and shadowy corners of the financial industry.

25. As part of President Obama's commitment to transparency, the White House has posted its visitor records online for the first time ever.

26. President Obama's all-of-the-above approach to energy has helped cut the United States' dependence on foreign oil to its lowest level in 20 years.

27. President Obama responsibly ended the war in Iraq.

28. He announced a plan to end the war in Afghanistan and transition security responsibility to the Afghan people.

29. President Obama sent the largest security assistance package to Israel in history and funded the Iron Dome system, which is protecting Israeli homes and schools from rocket attacks.

30. President Obama rallied the international community to implement the toughest sanctions on Iran in history.

31. Through the President's historic increases in Veterans Affairs funding, he has expanded and improved healthcare and job training access for our returning veterans.

32. President Obama negotiated the New START Treaty with Russia to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in both countries. At the same time, he also secured commitments from dozens of other countries to lock down nuclear materials.

33. His administration naturalized 11,146 military service members as U.S. citizens in 2010; more than in any year since 1955.

34. President Obama set a bold new plan for the future of NASA space exploration, using the skill and ability of the private sector for short trips to the International Space Station, while building a new vehicle for exploration of distant space, and doing everything in his power to support the economy on Florida's Space Coast.

35. President Obama recognizes that tourism is one of America's largest economic engines; he's worked to encourage international visitors to come here, maintaining our security while keeping millions of Americans in good, paying jobs.

36. He has affirmed his personal support of marriage equality, directed the Justice Department to stop defending DOMA in federal courts, and took the practical and compassionate step of extending hospital visitation rights to same-sex partners.

37. He fought for and won the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, allowing gay and lesbian members of the military to serve openly for the first time in history.

38. When Congress failed to fix our broken immigration system, his administration did everything in its power to improve it, streamlining the legal immigration process and announcing a policy that lifts the shadow of deportation from hard working young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

39. Oh, and he gave the order to send troops in after Osama Bin Laden -- and has decimated al-Qaeda's senior leadership.

No, Carol, with all due respect, the polls are telling the story. Mitt Romney is not in desperation mode. He has captured the attention of the majority of Americans for a reason. Americans want a leader to guide us in the right direction. Obama had his four years. He failed. He was never presidential material. Don't listen to me. Watch the polls and notice the difference between a 10 year old response to re-election and an ex governor and an astute businessman who can actually think his way through a better America both here on our soil and abroad.

The Tea Party Nation is comprised of both republicans and democrats. They formed because of the outrageous spending going on in Washington DC. Their movement was directly aimed at smaller government in our lives and fiscal reesponsibility. They are the grassroots Americans who were instrumental in the tsunami vote in November 2010 that took the spending democrats out of the congress and replaced them with no spending republicans. Therein lies the gridlock in congress. It worked. Never underestimate the power of the American people to do what is right for their country.

The November 2010 tsunami vote will go down in history. We have The Tea Party to thank for that....a group of bipartisan Americans who recognized a train wreck when they saw one and then did something about it.

I clicked on the link to the article and read it, as well as the comments posted. Apparently people don't know about the separation of church and state. I'll take Obama over a lying Romney any day. Romney is so out of touch with the world that he keeps repeating such lies as Chrysler Jeep is shipping their jobs off to China, although Chrysler has no intention os such and has protested. Yet, Romney uses this lie in his commercials. I'd never vote for a chronic, inflexible liar and this is just what Romney is.

Diane O' the liars, so nice of you and your choir of the intentionally ignorant to forget THE plain and simple fact that the Repugs did on the night of Obama's Inauguration plan to oppose anything and everything Obama proposed particularly if it help Americans or America to prevent his re-election. The douche nozzles you support have:
1) Blocked not only removing the Tax Incentive to offshore American jobs but also a Tax Incentive to bring jobs back to America.
2) Blocked the Small Business Jobs Act.
3) Blocked the Dream Act.
4) Blocked the Anti-Rape Amendment.
5) Blocked the Violence Against Women Act.
6) Blocked Benefits for Homeless Veterans.
7) Blocked and finally allowed the Health Care for the 9/11 First Resopnders.
8) Blocked The Jobs Act.
9) Blocked Wall Street Reform.
10) Blocked Oil Spill Liability.
11) Blocked Immigartion Reform.
12)Blocked Unemployment extension bill HR-4213.
13) Blocked the Fair Pay Act for Women.
14) Blocked the Veterans Job Bill.
15) Managed to get the US credit downgraded while kissing Norquists ass.
16) Reduce funding for FEMA.
17) Reduce funding for State Department Security, can you say Benghazi?
And those you intentionally ignorant Repug/Tea Bagged Parrot are just the ones that I can list off the top of my head. Now please act like the 10 year old you mentally are and take your ball and go home.

Arielle, thank you so much to inform the Republicans what Obama had done and will continue to do for the middle class. Romney will be a capitalist dictator and you all better hang on. Plus he is a anti Christ because Mormons do not believe that Jesus Christ is God, you know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Do your research and you will find out how he will destroy the middle class even more. He does not understand common people the 98%, and has no time for them. He is all about the love of money.

Anita, many Canadians DO NOT like Obama. What should we Canadians like him for?

His bowing to Saudi King? Then UAE Kings/Princes like that bow and wanted to get the same one from Harper, but Harper is a man, not a mouse. No bows, even if the boys close the air base. That air base was protecting them in the first place.

His closing of Keystone pipeline for serve Saudi Interests? That was bad for US and bad for Canada.

His wasting US money and making USD at par with CDN? Kills our exports to US and limits the number of tourists.

Nobody asked me in any poll about Obama, may be they conducted that poll in a mosque.

OMG, from the mouth of Jeb Bush, how shocking can that be? Just curious how long it took the "writer" here to find such a stupid photo of our President to post to add to the silliness of this article?

Care.2 is really stooping to new lows by hosting garbage "stories"/articles like this. I guess I could say I'm shocked at the closed-minded and twisted beliefs of so many of my fellow Americans, but I'm not. Got to be "something in the water".

"We know that the republicans and independents who voted for McCain in 2008 will NOT vote for Obama in a few days. We KNOW Obama has lost a large section of the Jewish vote. We KNOW Obama has lost the Catholic vote. And, we KNOW that the Independent women voters are leaning Romney"............WRONG, Diane O. What we KNOW is that there continues to be a faction of people who still are suffering from having "drunk the KOOLAID" and who are so brain-washed and so racist and bigoted, they want to believe whatever they read that is negative about a man who is "other than" what they represent. They wouldn't endorse a Black Man (and Obama is bi-racial, not even Black) no matter what he believed or said. I almost hoped that Herman Cain was nominated because that would eliminate all that nonsense and the Teabaggers and Repugs would have to chose between one of them. THAT pairing would have made it a lot easier for anyone with more than a 3-yr-old mentality to choose. Now, it's a bit harder trying to explain facts to those who are slightly smarter than that (a 3-yr-old) but definitely lacking in grey matter..

Alexander Werner (53)

Diane, it wasn't hard to find this picture of Obama, I wouldn't say this one shows him the most stupid.

Attempting to censor political opponents is a known trick by leftists, sometimes taking them to brown-shirt mode. Been there, seen everything, learnt to ignore.

Obama's failures in foreign policy have nothing to do with him being "a Black Man (and Obama is bi-racial, not even Black)", but everything to do with him incompetence and self-posture, displayed on Benghazi.

You can blame Fox News, Youtube videos, repubs, teabaggers, Jews and Free Masons, but it was Obama who let Stevens be unprotected in a hostile country, where Islamic militants were armed by Obama to fight their secular dictator.

May be you are right guys, even 10years old knows that betraying friends is bad, and lying afterwards to save his skin is even worse.

Hey Bob, honey:
Have you lost your mind?
You have berate President Obama all you want, but, no, honest person on the face of the Earth can accuse our President of acting child-like.
In fact, it's been a long time, since we have had a person in his position, who has such culture, manners, morals and statesmanship, occupy the White House.

Why don't you get real, here?
This election is not about what President Obama did or didn't do.
This election is about ideologies.

If you want a Presidnet who respects women, people of color, the LGBT community, religious freedom, and ALL people in general, your choice is very clear.
If you want a President who wants 'more government intervention' in our private lives, your choice is also, clear. The conservative far-right wing owns the Mittster and he is obligated to do their bidding.

My choice is clearly, made, as is most everyone in our country. I'll stick with the party, who doesn't stick their nose in my personal business and you can vote for a party that does.

Diane O (194)
Monday November 5, 2012, 2:38 pm
Well, Bob, I won't call you honey, but I will state that Obama has been the most incompetent President and Jimmy Carter is finally off the hook.

Obama is ALL about more government in our lives. He doesn't think we know what is good for us so he tells us we have to buy his ObamaCare, which by the way, has been denied by 26 states. When Obama first took office he stood before the American people and said, "I BELIEVE MARRIAGE IS BETWEEN ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN." That didn't last long when he saw he was losing the gay votes. The next year he stood before us and stated, "I BELIEVE IN SAME SEX MARRIAGE." So, which is it, Obama, or don't you just care about campaigning and winning because he is a narcissist....he's not presidential material. He doesn't know how to lead. He never had any experience in leading a small company much less an entire country. He was never in the military and perhaps that's why he can't recognize a military man's (or woman's) rank. He was never a mayor and never a governor. Unlike Romney, he is far from an astute businessman because he was never a businessman at all.

Enter Michelle Obama....who is not a licensed dietician...changing lunch menus at our schools and telling parents what they should feed their children.

Obama is all about more government intervention into the lives of Americans.

Charlene, we don't care if you vote for Obama. Why should we care? We care about voting for the man who is a structured leader and a man who has was elected governor in a liberal state. Mitt Romney is proven. Obama was a rogue choice because he had zero experience.

We are real. We are as real as it gets. We've been looking at four failed years in America with literally no growth and continued high unemployment. We are looking at a president who brought our country two credit downgrades. We are looking at a president who doesn't know which end is up and it shows.

Americans will do the right thing tomorrow for love of country. Obama never had the intelligence or the talent to know how to be a president or how to lead a country into greener pastures.

Mitt can do this. Once elected our country will be energized. If Obama wins, which is doubtful, he'll stall our country for four more years. It will be 2008 to 2012 redux.

Diane O (194)
Monday November 5, 2012, 3:19 pm
Picture this: IF Obama wins, we'll have four more years of NO growth in our country...four more years of high unemployment and four more years without a balanced budget that Obama's democrats won't pass and four more years of total gridlock in the congress. We'll have higher taxes. More Obama nothingness and an increasingly weakened foreign affairs position.

Diane L (110)
Monday November 5, 2012, 8:19 pm
"Enter Michelle Obama....who is not a licensed dietician...changing lunch menus at our schools and telling parents what they should feed their children".........Diane O., I see you are still sipping that G.O.P. Koolaid, and yours was really LACED. I guess you'd advocate for nothing said EVER by a First Lady to offer programs or advice for constituents, and that includes children, the future of this country? Guess that was Laura Bush's position, since she rarely said a word, period. Most of us with a bit of common sense and concern over the ever -WIDENING posteriors of our youth would suggest the same things as Michelle. It doesn't take a "nutritionalist" to notice obese kids or the fact they're eating far too much junk and not exercising, but whatever floats YOUR boat to criticize. This comment pretty much sums up your mindset, tiny as that may be..

Vote for Romney for "love of country"? HARDLY. A vote for Romney is merely a vote for perpetrating special considerations for those with money and condemning everyone else to what may be left forr scraps. "Mitt can do this. Once elected our country will be energized. If Obama wins, which is doubtful, he'll stall our country for four more years. It will be 2008 to 2012 redux"..........yeah, sure..........the only ENERGY wlill be how fast Romney and his cohorts can empty whatever is left of taxpayers money and line their own pockets. If there is any "stalling" as a result of an OBAMA win, it will be the fault of the REPUGS in Congress who will continue to fight whatever it is that doesn't suit THEM.

Well, Diane L, I don't believe the government has any business telling parents what to feed their children. Period.

Diane L, Honey, I have nothing against the honey. "If you want a Presidnet who respects women, people of color, the LGBT community, religious freedom, and ALL people in general, your choice is very clear. " - Indeed. That's Romney.

If you look at issues of honesty, you have to show Obama a shortest way to his university, away from presidency. With all the Koolaid you mentioned.

Diane O, you are a very intelligent lady, and a good match for your Commanding Officer husband. Thank you for your contribution here.

Yes, Carter is off the hook. Obama is #1 for his outreach to Islamists. That outreach resulted in the loss of almost whole Middle East to Islamists, radicalization of many Muslim countries and damaging American image with weird apologies for something that people should be proud off.

Bob, I try to act like an adult and not insult others merely because they disagree, and I try to show respect where respect is due, but seriously, your comments about Obama are so far out there, there can't be any respect shown. You've got to be either delusional or just flat out brainwashed to think Romney gives a rats patootie about any of the issues you mentioned in your first paragraph, last comment! His beliefs on womens' rights is abysmal to say the least and as for Diane O., sorry, but since WHEN did Romney ever have a meaningful "job"? He has been wealthy his entire life, his record as Governor is seriously lacking anything that benefited anyone but the wealthy and privileged and he's about as dishonest and unethical as any politician I've encountered since I've been old enough to pay attention, with the possible exception of Richard Nixon and even Nixon was more for the average "Joe". So freaking WHAT if he never practiced law! He was a U.S. Senator and did a fantastic job while in that office. One doesn't have to be a practicing attorney to be a good leader, and actually, many attorneys have very little to offer, period.

Diane L, attacking a wording error of "binders full of women" instead of "binders full of women resumes" does not look to me as becoming for an adult.

Running a successful corporation is a job, Diane, requiring a vision, energy and foresight. That's different from a University teching job, which requires in-depth analysis of a known subject with limited factors. Romney was able to work together and unite people for his Romneycare. Obama used brutal force to push his care through. Nobody wants to repeal Romneycare, but states do want to fight Obamacare.

The problem of many leftists is that they think they know the truth, and the only truth. Often, they don't.

Anyway, Obama got elected, my congratulations go to him, my best wishes go to Romney, and let's hope that Obama's future politics will reflect the wider consensus of people he was elected to govern.
