Here’s a list of McCain camp lies I’ve seen exposed in articles I’ve read just in the last half-hour.

Here is a critical, comprehensive list of McCain flip-flops from the carpetbaggerreport. Keep it handy and forward it to every Republican in my you know.

I like Biden. He's also very outspoken about the Iraq war.

McCain is my failed senator. The 'letters to the editor' section of today's local paper was great. A variety of people wrote in to remind us of McCain's 'shortcomings'. And they were all - sadly - very true. I used to have a certain amount of respect for him, but that has faded away.

Louise - No. But if McCain wins, and then McCain dies, then she will be.

Progressive talk show host Lee Rayburn has gotten dozens of contacts from voters in Wisconsin, mostly recently moved, who are complaining that they have received unsolicited absentee ballot applications sent to their new addresses (not forwarded) from the McCain campaign, and that those applications have as the return address the county clerk of their FORMER address. While he was talking about this on the air today, other voters from Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina, as well as more from Wisconsin called to report that they had received the same. A number said that the were not registered Democrats, but had donated to Obama, so it appears that the public donor lists were the McCain campaign's source of the names. This had to have been cross-checked with change-of-address info at the BOEs.

This dirty trick serves a dual purpose. First the votes won't be counted. Second, and equally distressing, the inaccurate returned applications will be used by Republican state legislators to claim fraud by Democrats, and to push through laws with harsh voter ID provisions with which it is hard for poorer registrants to comply. This will suppress the vote in future elections.

Everyone who receives absentee ballot applications from the McCain campaign, or any unsolicited absentee ballot applications, needs (a)to not use them, (b)to publicize the problem as widely as possible including their state Democratic Party and the media, and (c)to demand an investigation by their Secretary of State immediately.

If we know about this, we can defeat it!! Also, VOTE FOR YOUR CONGRESSPEOPLE and other smaller races! It isn't just the President who matters!!! We NEED a good Congress in there!! I'm running and hope you will support me by making a donation whether I live in your district or not! We MUST put TRUE PROGRESSIVES into office...and I'm one! Please go to www.schneider2008.com, check out what I have to say and MAKE A DONATION!

Wow, THANKS FOR ALERTING ABOUT THAT DIRTY TRICK!
There are SURE to be MANY MORE SUCH. Especially trying to dis-enfranchise Black voters, who are almost 100% for Obama; new voters signed up by the Obama campaign; and young voters and college-educated voters, especially college students who may be VOTING away from their previous parents' addresses, who are also overwhelmingly of course, Obama voters.
THERE IS NO DIRTY TRICK TOO LOW FOR REPUGS.
Have you heard, the Repugs are saying the OBAMA campaign is "coercing and intimidating voters"...... guess them minorities and kids dunnow their own minds......
It is of course FRAUDULENT when the formerly-but-no-more-"objective" polls say that Obama and McCain are ANYwhere "close" -- the polls can get McCain demographics, just like they get the demographics for the ADS and junk mail that clogs your mailbox. They get those skewed demographics from the voting records of the LAST election. They IGNORE all the NEW VOTERS who are being signed up EVERY DAY and have been for MONTHS. {The mainstream press ignores that phenomenon also.}
It is important that Obama and ALL Dems WIN BY A LANDSLIDE in just about every State and precinct -- that will make the election HARDER TO STEAL. {But, don't let the extremely high probability of another ATTEMPT to steal the election, stop you from voting! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE REPUGS WANT; WHAT WOULD HELP THEM THE MOST. IT WOULD BE A BLESSING FROM HEAVEN FOR THE REPUGS. A FREE TICKET-TO-RIDE. TO RULE FOREVER AND EVER AMEN.}

Vote AGAINST REPUBLICANS FOR ANY OFFICE ANYWHERE; vote for Dems or a Third Party if you'd rather, but VOTE, and VOTE AGAINST ANY REPUBLICANS.
We actually can make the Repugs as a viable force in politics AS OBSOLETE AS THE WHIG PARTY. The Repugs aren't "eternal"! They could become a small fringe party, with the Dems being the right-wing in US politics, and the Greens the left-wing!

VOTING IN THIS ELECTION, IS ONE OF THE FIRST STEPS IN TAKING OUR COUNTRY BACK. CERTAINLY NOT THE LAST STEP, AFTER WHICH WE CAN SIT BACK COMPLACENTLY. WE CAN'T LEAVE IT TO OBAMA, OR ANYONE, TO "SAVE" US; AND DO NOTHING OURSELVES. BUT, SMASHING THE REPUGS WITH A CRUSHING BLOW IS A GOOD FIRST STEP.

Rebbeca - Totally agree with you that we need to go beyound just the White House. While the Dems have a small majority in both houses, the repugs still exert too much power. When did Bush start using his veto power? - during this last congressional session is when - to block Dem legeslation. I don't think he used the veto ONE time prior to this session (correct me if I am wrong)! Also, during this session the Repugs have used the filerbuster MORE TIMES than in any time in the HISTORY OF CONGRESS to block even discussing many issues. Just some things to consider when deciding who to vote for (or if your thinking of not voting)...

We got one of those absentee ballot forms - as silly as it was, I tore it up and sent it back to the McCain office - it was worth the envelope and the 42 cents just to vent that frustration at their dirty tricks.

How totally awesome it would be to start living green, start having people care about other people, help the environment, get rid of our debt, stop the wars - be proud of America again.

Obama's campaign goons are all over college campuses registering students to vote (a good thing), and handing out absentee ballot forms to each and every registrant & others. There has also been some scuttlebut that these campaign scumbags are "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" whispering to students that they can ALSO register to vote where they go to school, and vote in the GE there. The scary thing is, there is no way the voter registrars in one state can cross reference with other states to see if that person registered in another state. They just don't have the time/personnel/resources to do it.

While it's OK for any candidate's campaign to approach (or mail) anyone with an absentee ballot, it is not right to surreptitiously suggest that there's no way they can check on you if you vote at school, too.

The Obama campaign clearly committed FRAUD in the caucuses. His thugs, hired for the caucuses, perpetrated fraud in several states, using gangs of college kids bussed in to intimidate, and defraud Clinton supporters. See this documented PROOF OF OBAMA FRAUD:

With regard to accusing McCain's campaign with deliberately putting the wrong address, or having the wrong form, this sounds like they just plain made a mistake. I mean, think about it: what's the point? Wouldn't they be better off sending the right ballot to the right address, with the hope that dems will vote for him (McCain) via absentee ballot? This is stupid to call this "fraud." Sounds more like a mailing list botch.

The irony of Rebecca S.'s comment on this post (which I agree with) is that the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund is *itself* mailing out absentee ballot applications (I received one a few days ago in New Jersey). Perhaps all such mailings, on either side, whether well intentioned or not, should be outlawed.
