Should the United States and other governments start supporting climate engineers' research? There is growing support for research into climate engineering, even among scientists who are skeptical that it will work.

There is no absolute solution, because our planetary climate cycles are not as yet fully understood.

Ice core studies are still ongoing and continue to reveal hidden information.

There are only two options: A.) Attempt Climate Engineering based upon current computer generated climate models --- or --- B.) Do nothing at all.

The risks to environmental stability are staggering in either direction; however, reducing greenhouse gas emissions is the only logical safe step to take, due to the fact that our societies should have been reducing in advance and changing to alternative energies decades ago!

NO NO NO, we should not mess with anything else!!!! We need to clean up our act and fix the messes of the past in other words put things back the way they were. Leave mother nature alone. She knows what she is doing better than any human.
Thanks Sir Robert

Don't people know that there is already a worldwide program running for many years manipulating the weather?
Ever looked up to the sky?

There seems to be a trend for the same people who make idiotic decisions (which wreak havoc on the rest of us) to be given MORE MONEY to "solve" the problem. As Tierney says above: "NO NO NO" !

And -- Let me guess, Monsanto is going to "lead" this program!

I agree with Tierney. We have screwed it up for Mother Nature. We should go back to the way it was & let Mother Nature deal with it. She was doing a great job before we inteupted her,let her continue.

George Carlin's words come to mind..."..she (earth) is just gonna shake us off like a bad case of fleas.." Mother Earth will shift and cleanse as it has in the past. This civilization has saturated this planet with pollution, toxic trash, and contaminated the water. However, do I agree with Ralph, which means messing with the planet's and all life upon it, electro-magnetic field, added to the insanity.

Sigh. Ralph X nailed it. DND has been interested in weather for a number of years. Anyone interested in how important water is to life should react to the concept of 'scorched earth tactics' and realize it is a basic doctrine of military and empire.
Iraq has just had water flow cut by Turkey. A number of things have wrecked the place over the years...traceable to Great Game Geopolitics.
