There are always at least two ways of looking at any campaign ad, however if you fail to perceive more than just one perception, then it's definitely time to remove those rose-colored glasses and go figure! Simple Equation: Obama 2012 = $$Non-Sustainable.

I have repeatedly requested verifiable mainstream proof from the hardcore Liberals and Democrats, which would quickly clarify an answer to the question as to why we should re-elect President Barack Obama in 2012, but all I continue to ever receive from them is empty old Campaign 2008 lip-services wrapped deep inside their rude and insulting rhetorical sound-bites ...

And that just ain't good enough for the public viewing audience!!!

I'd find it hard to believe that the sheeple could be so dumd as to re-elect this *proven* hypocritical a$$crawler; and am much afraid they probably will. The outcome of US elections can be very precicely predicted ba the $$$$s spent in the campaign, and I cannot remember anything BO might have done to offend his $$$$-givers.

He still has my support, now more than ever. And everyone I know, as well.

When Bush began, and left office, the HIGHEST priority was "fighting terrorism", and all the American people agreed with that. Without the war being over, of couse unemployment wasnt on the top of Obama;s list, but it wasnt on the top of Bush's list either.

Having toppled Bin Laden and Gadaffe, and ending the war by 2012 is an amazing accomplishment in 3 and a half years.

Sure blame the president, we are in the middle of world war 3 and employment isnt high. DUH Obama didnt start WW3, but he sure is bringing it to an end.

That's only very sad for corperate war-profiteers

President Obama can never fall, because he has so many crutches and excuses that are holding him up!

Plus there are still 'some' mainstream news agencies that are attempting to protect the president by bending the news in his 'favor', however I wonder how long all of that can really last (???).

Can anyone here prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that by this same time next year, that the U.S. will not be approaching hyperinflation (400+% increase on all commodities and goods) or even possibly a more deepening Recession, which borderlines upon another Great Depression??

You can 'say' that it's not true, but you cannot prove that it's not true!!

Obama can not fall due to the GOP candidates are so much worse as to their potential to finish us off totally economicly and just about every other way possible. That is the reason he will survive and win the next election...the GOP has zero to offer the people and they show that daily in their actions in Congress....continuing their support for a Fascist government. Not a single person running against Obama so far is worth their weight in dust and there is the problem ...and has been for over a decade now.

The poster isn't offering an alternative , just promoting anti-Obama anything is Pinks purpose, me thinketh
...Could be a racist 'teabagger' thing...who knows...anything is possible..so they say..other than anyone, at this time, that is running being a better choice than Obama.

Yes Pink, the Dubya years were all about 'spend spend spend'...and ...'borrow borrow borrow'...the biggest ever years of 'spend and borrow'...no need to worry about tomorrow... that we've ever seen in this nation...and that's how we got nto this huge mess to begin with.

What is with all this 'prove' things that are to be in the future...more rightcrazywing rethoric or what ? Just nuts to even bring up such crazy in my opinion. However lets go with that...they way the GOP Fascist in Congress are going at things it will most likely be worse by next year...after all ...that's their goal , as is what I think you support also...a goal of nothing more than seeing to it that Obama does fail, even if it takes the nation down totally or as close to bottom as it can and still survive. Just the one big flaw in you and your types thinking though as I see it...no one better still to date...regardless of all your anti-Obama articles as of late. Just as with Congress, never offering an alternative or articles about the rightcrazywing in Congress who are the blame period, for our not moving forward with progress in solving our crisis/recover.

Sorry Mindy, its up to the prosecution to make a vase against, so I feel no need to defend my position.
As to the fact you regard that as not "good enough" for the "viewing audience" I can only assume it is not resulting on as much dissention or as many comments as you would like to see.
I see no chance in hell for a single democrat on care2 to go to "the dark $ide" (my words) unless Obama drops a nuke on someone, so please forgive my lack of enthusiasm as to your call. ONE LOVE

You cannot currently send a star to Jae because you have done so within the last week.

As Jae said, there are no alternatives being offered by republicans. You have a millionaire business man that isn't a Christian according to the evangelical right wing; a black man with a disastrous tax plan in a white supremacists party; another oil guy lapdog from Texas; a woman that doesn't have a clue about geography or world affairs; a libertarian that wants to completely dismantle the Federal Government and turn everything over to business and the states; and then there are the remaining 1% losers. The once powerful Tea Party is being overshadowed by the OWS movement and they have been betrayed by the republicans they put in office in the 2010 election. Republicans aren't even happy with the choices they have, so how can they even hope to defeat Obama?

While I have definitately not supported many of the things Obama has done and believe he has pushed our country into even more extreme debt (you can blame Bush all you want but I don't see Obama making things any better) The one thing I completly supported and thank Obama for is repealing DADT. Friends, he didn't keep a pleadge to get out of Iraq, he asked to stay and it was the Iraqis who told us to leave. Taking credit for that and for Osama is typical of his arrogance. His is one of the most corrupt administrations in recent hostory and he has surrounded himself with advisors that caused the banking crisis! there's plenty more.

As Emily said, all pols in power are horrible and we need remove them all.

Could President Obama possibly be a credit-grabber, finger-pointer, blame-stormer and master magician in the art of conjuring crutches and excuses to hold him up???

Sounds just like another Chicago politician to me!!

So what's so great about Him??? ... Other than He is not a Republican (although He acts like one when the purpose serves Him!) and we all know that both sides of the aisle including the U.S. Congress are thoroughly corrupt.

Obama is a poor leader and that is putting it mildly. As for the rest of Congress they are all power hungry and self serving individuals. When they follow the same laws the rest of us do I will perhaps have a bit of respect for them. When lobbying is eliminated along with stimulus and bailout money will I respect them. When they join the rest of us and move down from their ivory towers will I respect them. I don't like to be placated and sent form letters with gibberish from my Congress people when I write them. Talk about blowing somke!

I can't believe there are STILL people saying that poor old Obama "never got a chance" to do anything! Not ONCE has he stood on principles - I don't think he HAS any. Dammit, why don't people look at his appointees? A Monsanto lobbyist as second highest official in the FDA?! PNAC/CFR members, IMF backers, rabid Republicans (look at the damned "Catfood Commission"!) No one has to ask what happens to his nose the first time some oligarch stops too fast! This country can NOT afford another four years of Obama! Not unless you're ready to shoot it out on your own front porch with the National Guard or thugs-with-badges over whether you're going to allow them to "evacuate you for your own and the public's safety to a FEMA camp" for refusing a battery of toxic vaccines! "Mandatory volunteerism"? BOTH parties are corrupt as hell, and while Ron Paul makes a lot of good points, he's still in favor of of letting people without insurance DIE (sorry, but I watched and heard his answer: ("Well, that's what freedom is all about!"), when it was the oligarch-owned Congress that removed all regulation, allowed the "too big to fail" banks to rob the country blind and allowed Bush to start what Obama is finishing: the total destruction of the Constitution and the economy! And ANY oligarch-owned politician is going to continue helping the destruction of public schools along, even though almost ALL voters - like the Founders were - are perfectly willing to pay taxes to finance them (reasonably; just get rid of the destructive legislation). The Koch brothers and the rest of their ilk need to be tried for treason and sabotage too, by the way.

Anyone who would still vote for Obama is NOT thinking. How long have we been going back and forth, back and forth? When are people going to figure out that IT NEVER GETS BETTER? When the Democrats had a majority, things got worse - in great part thanks to the GOP having no priorities other than sabotaging Obama. When the GOP has a majority, they lock the Dems out and start selling the right to corporations to write their own laws! And if we ever managed to elect a president who was truly independent and really wanted to fic things, he'd live maybe five minutes beyond the swearing in ceremony. We have to get off the damned merry-go-round. The first thing to do, I think, is impeach the SCOTUS traitors who will otherwise sabotage any effort to change anything.

There's an awful LOT that would have to be done for America to survive, and one of those things is nationalize the stolen wealth of the oligarchs and TRY the bastards for what they've done. Reinstate corporate regulation, burn down the Fed, and cut the damned Federal government back down to size, ESPECIALLY the Pentagon and the Intel "services". * sigh * I just don't see it happening. Even so, voting for ANY member of either major party right now amounts to sabotage. Or a complicated way to commit suicide.

Ian

I enjoyed the Jimmy Kimmel clip. I think it demonstrates how people can view the exact same set of facts and come to entirely different conclusions.

PinkMindy says, "I have repeatedly requested verifiable mainstream proof from the hardcore Liberals and Democrats, which would quickly clarify an answer to the question as to why we should re-elect President Barack Obama in 2012..."
Proof? I have have seen many people give their reasons for why they are for or against Obama and for or against many of the current crop of Republican candidates but, how do you prove such a thing? Can you "prove" why we should elect any candidate X? That is why we have elections. There is no "proving", there is only deciding who we think may be best at the job.

I just saw a link video were Obama said the banks did nothing illegal even though it might have been wrong what they did. Committing fraud is illegal Mr. President. Unfortunately I deleted it.

All those mainly young people that worked the streets, phones, and traveled from state to state Obama probably feels he no longer needs them.He is probably right. He raises all the money he needs from corporations and banks. His corrupt structure is solid as a rock. The only problem is that he is just an ungrateful, hypocritical, war criminal, surrounded by Wall street fraudsters who would tell a lie to get what he wants in a second.

Yes, he will be re-elected. He has thorough convinced the ruling corporate elite that he can be as ruthless and inhumane as his predecesser GW Bush. Let's all admitt it. He pulled a giant con on us. But he was only able to do it because Bus and the other republicans were so detestable.

Forget about who the president is. We need to concentrate on the list that occupy wall street has formulated for its upcoming convention in 2012. In the meantime go to www.occupywallstreet.org and get involved. Then go to www.takethemoneyout.com to start the process of fighting for our government and very lives.

OMG!!! Fred Krohn !! :0

Is that a racist/supremacist statement or what? President Obama is a proven american.

What are you, A fascist sympathizer?
About the KROHN family name

The name is uncommon and is believed to have originated in the Schleswig-Holstein region of Northern Germany and most likely derived from the old german word "Krahn" meaning a crane. Apparently, in old German, the "a" in "Krahn" was pronounced like our modern day "o", thus the "Krohn" family name. One version of the Krohn coat of arms depicts a crane holding a rock in its claw. This illustrates that Krohns are alert and watchful; if the crane should fall asleep, the rock falls on to its other claw awakening the bird!

This Coat of Arms is from a 19th century German brass plaque. The German motto:
translates into English as "Better a small master, than a big servant"

You are NOT part of the solution.

Pink, typical troll trick.

You want an answer from us as to why we should re-elect Obama, and whine and complain. But you won't give any actual FACTS as to why we should not re-elect him, just the same old right wind talking point fantasies.

You point out that his approval rates fell, but neglect to mention that it is now going up, and the republican's approval rating continues to plummet. Talk about an inconvenient truth.

Post after post wanting other people to prove something that you made up, is not true. But no facts on your part to justify your imaginings.

That old tactic is tattered and transparent - and it makes you pretty much a joke.

Hope I didn't miss any "hard core liberals" when sending out stars. Obama needs to win, we simply cannot let a republiCON in office. Look what they've done thus far in Congress, politics at a standstill, millions out of work, hungry, no home, no medical coverage, no workers rights, womens rights on the brink. Bush/Cheney took us to a phony war on a credit card, gave the uber weathly tax breaks they didn't need, sent replicas of themselves to SCOTUS so now we have been told "corporations are people". No Pink Mindy, there is no way in hell I'll ever vote for a republiCON.

You want to compare what Obama has done to what the thugs in Congress have NOT done? Go to Politifact.com, it's an eye opener I don't think you'll like Mindy.

As for you Ron Paul people, he'll never get the chance. Remember when he said at one of the debates that if someone did not have medical insurance well then, maybe they'd just have to die...are you kidding? He shot himself in the foot and has proven he doesn't give a rats ass about people either, he's no better then the current misfits trying for a nomination from the GOP. Obama 2012 all the way!!!

I agree, Zee, and that is why we need to get rid of the republicans in Congress. They have blocked everything Obama has tried to do to improve the plight of the middle class and poor. If we expect to ever make any progress we have got to vote every republican up for reelection OUT OF OFFICE. If you give control of Congress to republicans and put a republican in the White House you may as well pre-pay your funeral cost so your kids can delay going to debtors prison for a couple of years because it is unlikely you will live long enough to correct such a huge mistake. Right now we have a peaceful Occupy Wall Street revolution; if republicans gain complete power by the summer of 2013 we'll be in a Libyan revolution. We can only hope that enough people realize the mistake they made in 2010 to not repeat that kind of stupidity again.

It sounds like Pinkmindy is seeing candidates through GOP koolaid, oops, I meant colored, glasses. I guess that she thinks that it was Obama that sent this country into 1 unwinnable war and 1 illegal war, when it was Bush, Jr and the GOP warmongers that did it.
Or perhaps she has forgotten that the same traitors that deregulated the financial industry and the banks are the same ones that got bailouts, under Bush and his GOP friends, that many have yet to even pay back because the taxpayers, money is at stake, not the non-taxpaying corporations and 1% that runs the GOP.

Perhaps the best thing for those folks would be the to have them all held accountable, but then there would be nothing for folks like Mindy to complain about, being as her devotion to the party seems to be unwavering to the point of either dismissing or ignoring the CRIMINAL acts of the GOP.

Jason, Obama is no part of the solution... Debt has gone up, unemployment has gone up... He is selling us out left and right...I didn't vote for him before and would never even consider voting for a man like this... His agenda is to destroy this country... I'm just sorry so many people are so blind by the so called change he promised...

No change now, no change ever...

The solution is to vote all the self-absorbed, politically ignorant, tea party and republicans out, and vote in people who actually care for this country.

Blocking bills that would allow states to hire more policeman, firemen, teachers, etc., shows that the republicans could care less about citizens - they are completely owned by the oil industry, and the Koch brothers.

And anyone who cannot see that, after 10 months of zero jobs bills from the pubs, either has their head in the sand, or has some ulterior motive for lying.

He is trying, Scarlett. Republicans are selling us out. Have been since Reagan. Corporations have gained all the power and use via 90% of the media and their capital hill shills. This is why so many of you are so misinformed. This is why you have so much hate.

"Democrats have awaken and switched lanes"
THAT is one huge chunk of propaganda! lol Democrats switching to corporate fascism!!! rotflmao!!! OMG! Talk about desperados!

Yes, Obama has been trying but the GOP congress will not let him as we all know...even so..I am not all thta happy with Obama himself but he is miles ahead of the others as to being president. No articles by Pink as to the GOP in congress and the mess they are creating by blocking our recovery process..just those bashing Obama only that I've notice. I guess the reason is for those teabagger friends of hers like Carl D. and...well you can see who agrees with her and know the others also. ..and NO Carol...Dem.'s are not joining the GOP side of things...many are disapointed and most know that both sides are not what we like but to suggest that Dems are switching sides is in my opinion...more insaniTeaBagger B.S . propaganda...as usual...and as are Pink's threads in general...in my opinion.

...ooops.... that first sentence of my last post above should read...."Yes, Obama has been trying but the GOP congress will not let him as the majority of us know...."

It's obvous that some on this thread don't or at least not willing to admit to it.

Can us Liberals hear what it is about the right you like so much or is it really just the hate game?

I haven't heard one republican voter make one reasonable defense of the party.
You go first, Mindi

She believes in nothing other than what she has been told to believe. She is for nothing, against everything, and willing to say whatever she's been told to say. It is quite simply impossible for her to make a positive statement regarding anything, much less a coherent position as to what she actually believes. Talking to her is a waste of time. Talking about her is far more meaningful. Noting her stories is a mistake. She may take it as a sign of validation.

Jason - "I haven't heard one republican voter make one reasonable defense of the party."

A good observation, and one with a simple answer: the Republican Party's positions are not defensible. Everything they wish to do takes funding away from desperately necessary programs (some of which were already paid for by the people they cover), from ancient, falling-down old infrastructure, or from investments in the future like public schools, which the Founders were for, (though of course they weren't trying to make a handful of ignorant, poisoned slaves out of what were once a strong and free people), to remove any liberties whatsoever, or any rights they feel we shouldn't have, like self-defense against a murderous militarized police, or the right to vote for leaders we choose for ourselves, or the right to refuse a medical treatment we don't trust or want, like vaccines... The oligarchy has published their intent over and over again all over the place; all anyone has to do is read what's there and believe what they read. Even so, the conditioning in the schools and the MSM (conditioning=mind control=propaganda) is so strong that millions still refuse to see the truth. They'll make, they ARE MAKING - easy targets of themselves and those they love. Eventually even the militarized cops, some at least, are going realize that they themselves and their own families and friends are just excess population too, especially after they help get rid of most of US. I hope they wake up to what's really happening in time to do something useful. It'll have to be BEFORE they're too sick from the radiation poisoning, the arsenic, the lead and mercury, the DU, the nano-aluminum, the benzene, the ractopamine, the mal- and under-nutrition, the methyl iodide, the fluoride, cadmium, barium, chromium, desiccated blood and mold spores (some weaponized), GM weaponized viruses and bacteria (E. coli with Yersinea pestis DNA and resistance to eight classes of antibiotics), thorium, yellow fungal mycotoxins, ethylene dibromide, BPA, Sodium nitrite and nitrate, microwave radiation - and then there's all the toxic "medicine' designed to treat symptoms, many of them caused by other medicines, but NONE are made to actually CURE anything at all. (and of course that's just a very short, partial list) - before they're too ill to act usefully.

The GOP is entirely focused on providing the setup for all of this, and Obama is a Manchurian Candidate who has done too much that was diametrically opposed to everything he claimed to stand for in order to get elected. Their goals include stealing the funding from Social Security and any other program that might help people survive, or God forbid, actually get back on their feet a little bit and turning THAT money as well over to the ever-hungry banksters and corporations. The Republicans are sickeningly on the side of the destroyers, lying so openly sometimes it's obvious and simply refusing to acknowledge that they've been caught. Why should they? Any agency or appointee with the position and power to do anything about it is on the same side they are.

Beyond ignoring them and running our own society as we choose until they take up arms against us - which they would - is about the only suggestion I have. Start bartering, close out any bank accounts and get into a credit union, grow a garden, trade a skill for food or vice versa, teach survival skills, gardening, mitigation of radiation... We need to live our lives stop empowering the thieves, liars, murderers and all the rest. Otherwise they will do as they have been doing and take it all away a piece at a time, and those pieces are getting bigger and bigger. Look at recent bills and laws: one state is basically no longer to use cash without a ream of paperwork so the government can track and tax those transactions. Little kids with lemonade stands are being attacked by Big Government a thoguh they were the criminals instead of the government itself. We have a lying, murdering war criminal who has violated everything in the Bill of rights except the Third Amendment, and he ignores the rest of the Constitution any time it's inconvenient.

Occupy Wall Street is, I think, the beginning of our very last chance.

Ian
