In a recently conducted Craiglist poll, President Obama took the lead as being the #1 world leader from whom they would most likely buy a used car. Obama's biggest achievement? Obama = Rich Elite 1% and He knows absolutely nothing about being the 99%!

"But don't assume this means Mr. Obama is considered a more honest seller than the next head of state.

You see, the reason people would prefer to buy a used car from Barack Obama is because it's probably never been driven.

Seriously, after nearly three years in office, it should be quite obvious that the President and his wife enjoy racking up miles, not in their car, but in a taxpayer-funded private airplane and million dollar motor coach."

Food for thought and perspective reality check.

A Chicago politician is still just a Chicago politician ...

And He still has NO kudos of greatness under his belt.

Those who continue to follow President Barack Obama are gullible and being duped by a professional snow-man!"

At the moment, according to various current polls across the nation, President Obama only has a 50/50% chance for re-election and his campaign contributions are still far below the 2008 levels.

President Obama must have decided that the blame game was his best campaign strategy, because he doesn't have amnesia, but he sure must hope that the public has it!!

Revised To Read:

Obama = Rich Elite 1% ... And He remembers absolutely nothing about being the 99%, which has been reflected in His failed Campaign 2008 promises to date!!

So, if he kept a few promises, but failed at achieving the 'many', then why should we believe Obama would not continue his epic failure trend, that He himself has set?

If you say: "It's the Republicans fault or just bad star energy (LOL!!!), then is not that an absolute sign of stagnate perpetual gridlock??

Can America survive Four More Years of Obama, held hostage by a divided and frozen solid nation, thereby continuing onward as a non-moving nation???

Actually even Obama is a victim. The number of people who are really free from any anxiety on the basis of economic concerns is about 6000. That's about one hundredth of one percent. They are not billionaires. They are trillionaires. Not only do they control the media, they also have tight control of all educational institutions. The word "trillionaire" is not even accepted or recognized as a real word. Wealthy powerful rulers used to depend on high thick walls and protected their position in fortified castles. Now the rulers secure their situation by controlling the minds of the masses. To a greater or lesser extent everyone lives in fear.

One thing about the Republican CONgress...they all ride around in new cars every year, bought and paid for by their Corporate bosses on Wall Street. Perhaps Obama is just trying to get some worth out of their old ones for the people....if one wants to go with this silly thread topic to begin with.

No one was more irresponsible with their borrowing and spendng than Bush/GOP...due to him too many people in the nation today can't afford even a decent used car or food on their tables...but topics as this are far more important aren't they...

Not on topic but ....One thing I noticed...not so many 'shell' / fake id's on this thread so far today. Guess the rumor that care2 has decided to cross referrenced the ip addies/puter makes/area codes of suspected fake id's by using their sign in info that nearly all sites receive daily.... and are banning some finally. No doubt this would not be good for Pinks 'choir' calls my opinion, but who knows...enough other rightwing teabagger racist and over all bigots out there to post on these Obama bashing threads of Pinks. Which most that I have noticed have nor serve any other purpose.

A new president will be able to solve few if any of those as long as the GOP/Rightwing in Congress are suckling at the teat of Wall Street profits. We need to get corporate money out of our CONgress first. One day perhaps Pink will realize that Congress...GOP/RIghtwing big time...are our nations current biggest draw back to our recovering from the Bush years and that administrations outragious spending/borrowing and corruption....Who knows.. maybe then Pink will post some news that might have some real bearing on how the nation can deal with our political/economic mess/crisis instead of just choir calls for more Obama bashing for the sake of all the racist and hypocrits/bigots out there..but I doubt it.

Do you have any idea what power congress has that can be used against any president..and or the people of this nation Pink?

Cross referrencing is done by the majority of sites...for marketing purposes and to gather proper stats as to how many 'individuals' go to their site, how often and what they 'click on' etc. as to ads and articles/pictures and so forth. Same person with more than one sign in name does mess with those figures so maybe that's all that started the culling of the fake id's on care2, if it is more than rumor. One which I personally hope is true. Personal home pages more often than not also have those type of stats for their personal use/information even. It does make finding out who the fake ID folks are and usually which origional ID they've come from be it a commerical/charitable or personal site. At least in the case of 'shell' and or 'fake' ID's as more often to referred to as, that type of access info is a good thing for site owners to have, me thinketh.

James Travers (6)

"President Obama and his inexperienced administration."? Not exactly sure what the reference to inexperienced is. His people are very experienced. Lots of Goldman Sachs folks there who are well experienced in gouging the 99%

I hesitated to step into this somewhat acidic comment fest but as our opinion is what this is supposed to be about (everyone has one right?), here goes.

GWB definitely threw more wood on the fire but Ronald Reagan's administration stoked up the blaze which had been smoldering since 1913. (not Reagan himself because I doubt he even knew what day of the week it was) And the Corporate pawn Obama threw a gallon of gasoline on the blaze. For me tho, Obama was the worst culprit as he deftly proclaimed exactly what the silent majority wished to hear and they came out from hiding under their beds to elect him.

hmmmm I should put that worst culprit criticism on myself because I believed in him as well, and I should have known better. I literally wept upon his election believing we actually had a chance and I'm not one who sheds a tear easily; nor believes in politicians easily for that matter..

It is my feeling that most politicians are hypocrites but Barack is an outrageous liar or at the least a sellout and possibly much more insidious. This latest endorsement of indefinite detention clearly shows the direction he is going. The cattle are being herded together for the drive to the slaughter house and Congress, both Republican and Democrats, have mounted up to help him.

As to those who espoused that Obama is the lessor of two evils when compared to the possible GOP nominee, there was a time when I made the same statement. But which is worse, an ignorant, hypocritical, potential dictator at the helm or an intelligent hypocritical one? Tuff call.

PinkMindy Ellinwood (567)

Obama campaigned in 2008 to close Guantanamo Bay ... and then just signed National Defense Authorization Act, which includes the indefinite detention of American citizens and combatants without being legally and criminally charged!!

Politicians are All the same breed of type A’s, with a 1% exception rule. They lie so much they don’t even recognize doing it. Kinda like taking a crap, you just do it, or die, except most people recognize doing the deed. Lying is the equivalent of bowel incontinence for most politicos. Hell, most of them are lawyers, we should expect anything else? If we do who's the fool?

James Travers (6)
Sunday December 18, 2011, 10:56 am
I'm assuming Myron your response was directed to me, James T since I don't see a John T. Hell no I wasn't insinuating W was brighter than Obama. GWB was perhaps the most ignorant human being to ever hold the office of President. (again not counting the senile Reagan). No Obama is the highly intelligent one without question. I was referring to the entire GOP field as ignorant. Since Nixon that seems to be the Republican strategy. Run the dumbest person you can find. hmmmm according to that strategy it would seem Bachmann will win the nomination....
As for Obama not controlling his party, I've had this debate with many people. I am not convinced this isn't smoke and mirrors on his part. The art of misdirection. Besides, controlling one's affiliates in Congress isn't what the balance of governmental power was designed for.

I completely agree that one must vote, if for no other reason that if we don't use it we'll lose it. I didn't make a stand one way or the other about voting the lesser of two evils other than saying I used to feel that way. Just said it was a tuff call
But frankly I see very little difference in Obama's record and that of his predecessor. Certainly very little in their economic policy altho Obama at least vocally goes after the wealthy somewhat and on the surface tried to make them pay a little more. The one potential advantage was his health care act which turned out to be nothing more than another boon to Big Insurance, and the credit protection act which has at least made Wallstreet work to come up with an alternative method to screwing us.

I won't get into who makes what kind of personal attacks. I understand how emotions are running high right now. There is a lot at stake and at the risk of sounding like a "conspiracy nut" I personally believe there are those who wish to keep us, Republican, Democrat or whoever, at each other's throats. And I'll finish with this. I don't know if you consider yourself a Progressive but one of the things I prefer about the kind of human being that you and Pink Mindy and I are, is that we do criticize those we help elect. Kudos to both of you for that. This is not a thing Conservatives are known for.

The really evil criminals never get caught because they are truly pathological. The planet is ruled by just such monsters. They have a stranglehold on the finances of the whole world and love wars. They are laughing all the way to their banks. There’s a greater margin of profit on ordinance than any other commodity. It costs a fraction of a penny to produce a bullet and the taxpayers turn over several dollars per round without asking any questions. Millions of bullets are fired in an hour. The worst criminals have positioned themselves properly for this bonanza for several hundred years now. However the new laws allowing martial law as regards citizens and the approach to Iran after it stopped trading in oil is onimous
I recently read this -if true it may explain some of the laws just now
Total Collapse Billions will die

Global elite maneuver into position for final leg of Middle East campaign, one year into “Arab Spring,” one step closer to global hegemony.
Nearly every option described within the Fortune 500-funded Brookings Institution 2009 “Which Path to Persia?” report in regards to US-initiated regime change in Iran has been carried out to the letter. From proposals to fund and arm terrorist organizations like the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), to fomenting foreign-backed “color revolutions” in the streets of Tehran, to carrying out covert US-Israeli military operations within Iran itself, it is clear that the Brookings Institution either was writing the playbook on conquering Iran or was reading from it when compiling “Which Path to Persia?” The only remaining options left are airstrikes and invasion.
The report extensively details using Israel as a US-proxy in attacking Iran in an attempt to cripple its nuclear program as well as destroy much of its security apparatus while maintaining “plausible deniability” for the attack’s US architects. It is also hoped that the airstrikes incur a sufficient Iranian retaliation (or at least the opportunity to stage a false flag operation in Iran’s name) to allow Israel and the United States to carry out a more extensive follow-up military operation against the Islamic Republic.
The primary hurdle described throughout the report’s examination of using a “unilateral” Israeli strike, however, was a US-occupied Iraq and the complications an Israeli airstrike would cause passing through the nation’s airspace on its way to bombing Iran. However with the US’ recentrushed “exit” from Iraq, this complication is no longer an issue.
“An Israeli air campaign against Iran would have a number of very important differences from an American campaign. First, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has the problem of overflight transit from Israel to Iran. Israel has no aircraft carriers, so its planes must take off from Israeli air bases. It also does not possess long-range bombers like the B-1 or B-2, or huge fleets of refueling tankers, all of which means that unlike the United States, Israel cannot avoid flying through someone’s air space. The most direct route from Israel to Iran’s Natanz facility is roughly 1,750 kilometers across Jordan and Iraq. As the occupying power in Iraq, the United States is responsible for defending Iraqi airspace. “ Which Path to Persia?-page 105 (.pdf)
“From the American perspective, this negates the whole point of the option—distancing the United States from culpability—and it could jeopardize American efforts in Iraq, thus making it a possible nonstarter for Washington. Finally, Israeli violation of Jordanian airspace would likely create political problems for King Abdullah of Jordan, one of America’s (and Israel’s) closest Arab friends in the region. Thus it is exceedingly unlikely that the United States would allow Israel to overfly Iraq, and because of the problems it would create for Washington and Amman, it is unlikely that Israel would try to fly over Jordan.” Which Path to Perisa?-page 106 (.pdf)
“An Israeli attack on Iran would directly affect key American strategic interests. If Israel were to overfly iraq, both the Iranians and the vast majority of people around the world would see the strike as abetted, if not authorized, by the United States. Even if Israel were to use another route, many Iranians would still see the attack as American supported or even American orchestrated. After all, the aircraft in any strike would be American produced, supplied, and funded F-15s and F-16s, and much of the ordnance would be American made. In fact, $3 billion dollars in U.S. assistance annually sustains the IDF’s conventional superiority in the region.”Which Path to Persia-page 106 (.pdf)
The US withdrawal from Iraq is being done in tandem with NATO operations to destabilize Syria and in turn disrupt Hezbollah’s capacity to retaliate against Israel in the event of a strike on Iran – a concern also duly noted within the Brookings report.
“…the Israelis may want to hold off until they have a peace deal with Syria in hand (assuming that Jerusalem believes that one is within reach), which would help them mitigate blowback from Hizballah and potentially Hamas. Consequently, they might want Washington to push hard in mediating between Jerusalem and Damascus.” -page 109 (.pdf)
It is quite clear that eliminating Syria entirely as an obstacle has been instead attempted, and with NATO standing by and a continuous influx of foreign fighters being armed and sent across the border to mire Syrian forces in asymmetrical warfare, any coordinated retaliation against Israel by Syria, Iran, and Hezbollah has been at the very least blunted significantly. The significance of Syria’s ability to weather this US-backed destabilization and maintain a coherent deterrence against Anglo-American-Israeli forces in the region has been noted by Russia who has thus far blocked attempts to justify further, more overt intervention by NATO in Syria.
However, Syria will be taken down, as will Iran, at any cost just as was done with Libya, and only a tactical defeat of Wall Street and London’s military forces in the process will prevent this from happening. Attempts to soften Russia’s grip on Syria was recently made as US-funded NGOs began attempting to sow “Arab Spring-style” disarray in the streets of Moscow. While some consider it a sign of madness on behalf of Wall Street and London - it is in reality part of a highly orchestrated global campaign, being executed in sequence, and thus far highly successful in achieving its goals. Throughout each stage, feigned weakness has been exhibited only to result in victory and it would be great folly to underestimate the endurance or will of the West at this juncture.
The Bottom Line
Already, one year into the US-engineered “Arab Spring,” a US-funded “activist leader” has been made president of Tunisia, a British Petroleum (BP), Shell, and Total-funded Petroleum Institute representative made PM of Libya, and other Western puppets are now poised to seize power in Egypt. Wall Street and London have also recently announced via the US State Department that an official campaign of frustrating, encircling, and containing China’s ambitions throughout Asia will be pursued under the title of “America’s Pacific Century.” Already Chinese projects in Myanmar have been canceled while Wall Street stooge Thaksin Shinawatra of Thailand has been maneuvering politically to return to power at an already terrible cost to the Thai people.
Now more than ever, “we the people” must steel ourselves against this immense corporate-fascist empire as it sprawls death, destruction, and domination, militarily and economically, across the planet. We must, our very survival depends on it, boycott and replace entirely the corporate-financier interests that drive this dark, expansive agenda. It has been literally spawned of our apathy, complicity, and ignorance, fueled by us – the very source of corporate fascism’s power – and it must be our activism, resistance, and intellect that brings it to an end.
As far fetched as it may sound, every Pepsi we swig, every day we decide to drink beer and tune into our corporate-sponsored bread and circus, be it the modern day chariot races of NASCAR or the gladiatorial contests of the NFL, we bring inescapable eternal servitude to a corporate-fascist scientific dictatorship one step closer. It is now “do or die” – unlike in the past, mankind now possesses the technology to render the vast majority of the population intellectually inferior through mass medication, food poisoning, GMO crops that rot our bodies and minds from the inside-out, and the martial means of eliminating vast swaths of the population permanently. Not only is this a possibility, it is a reality the global elite have conspired over at great length through texts like Ecoscience penned by current White House science adviser John Holdren and former White House science adviser Paul Ehrlich who openly talk about mass, involuntary medication to forcibly sterilize the population, reduce our numbers and confine us within what they literally call a “planetary regime.”
The End Game approaches.
