Of course Care2 was once saturated by hardcore Liberal Progressives and Democrats who had believed in Obama's empty promises of 'Hope & Change', but now their dwindling-by-the-day Pro-Obama Camp is quickly fading into an extremely sad sunset.

However there are a few of them who are left, that will obviously attempt to debunk or rather play-down this video, so please let no one decide for you in this regard!

Says the self appointed pied piper of simpleton-ism, who unable to view events/statements/actions in context, pitifully exhorts those similarly inclined to follow the ignorant rant brigade in the fight against reason.

Ohh we must allow the whines, moans and cries of the miserably defeated Pro-Obama camp, because everyone retains the right to harbor and voice their own personal self-political-protectionist opinion, no matter how misguided that it might be, so please remember that it is still ONLY an opinion and NOT a deciding factor here.

Also note that those who oppose very seldom commit to produce any acceptable mainstream counter-evidence in the form of verifiable links and reports.

Have we all forgotten about Obama's radical mentor Saul Alinsky and Obama's bank-rolling subversive Campaign 2008 puppet-master and handler George Soros ... ACORN ... Solyndra Scandal ... Fast & Furious Scandal ...???

And the list goes on and on ...

Remember with Obama: It's Always About The Cover-Up!!!

I have envied the Republicans their brilliant and at the same time profoundly ignorant brand and execution. However, over the last several years, Republican political rhetoric has mutated into a kind of trickle-down insanity that has more and more translated itself in random acts of violence.

In 2007, after four years of disastrous war planning in Iraq and the institution of an admitted and obvious global torture regime, 71 percent of Republicans still supported an attack on Iran to prevent that country from obtaining nuclear weapons.

In early October 2008, at multiple McCain/Palin rallies, audience members screamed, "terrorist," "treason" and "kill him" when then-Sen. Barack Obama was mentioned. Civil rights hero and Congressman John Lewis chided the McCain campaign:

"George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and condition that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who desired to exercise their constitutional right."

The following week, after correcting a supporter who accused Senator Obama of being an Arab, McCain was summarily booed by the crowd for claiming the Obama was a decent family man.

In early 2009 in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Tennessee, (all states that voted more heavily Republican in 2008 than in 2004), homicides increased. They decreased in almost all the major cities across the country. In April of 2009, a report from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI detailed the rise in right-wing extremism due in part to economic uncertainty and the election of the nation's first African-American president. The report concluded that "lone wolves and small terrorist cells embracing violent right wing extremist ideology are the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat to the United States." One month later, Dr. George Tiller, an abortion provider in Kansas, was gunned down in the entrance of his church by anti-abortion activist Scott Roeder, who had connections to "Operation Rescue" a radical "right-to-life" group. Less than a year later, in Austin, Texas, Andrew Joseph Stack flew a small plane into a building containing IRS offices - killing himself and one other. He left behind a note ranting against the government and the tax structure.

In August 2009, conservative protesters began disrupting and shouting down their representatives at town hall meetings. The town hall disturbances were in response to the president's proposed health care reform bill. Fights and violence erupted at town halls in Tampa, Saint Louis and Denver. When police began to have to protect members of Congress from their own constituents, the Tea Party was born. In the fall of 2009, bumper stickers appeared for sale online reading, "Pray for Obama Psalm 109:8" a dog whistle to evangelical conservatives with a hidden reference calling for Obama's death. Psalms 109:8 reads,

"May his days be few and another take his place of leadership, May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow."

Earlier last month, Kansas House Speaker Michael O'Neal publicly apologized for forwarding the Bible verse to his Republican colleagues, though he did say he was merely wishing for a one-term Obama presidency.

In the months leading up to health care reform, the fictional concept of "death panels" was introduced into the debate by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and former Gov. Sarah Palin. Groups of armed men with assault rifles and pistols began appearing at president Obama's pro-health care reform rallies. One man in New Hampshire, with a gun strapped to his leg, carried a sign with the Jefferson quote, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

In March 2010, demonstrators spat on and hurled racial epithets at members of Congress as they neared final passage of health care reform. In the weeks after health care was signed into law, there were ten different incidents of members of Congress who voted for health care reform being violently threatened. Bricks were thrown into Congressional district office windows. Death threats were sent. One online conservative activist urged his followers to "stop by" and "express their thanks" at the personal home of Virginia Rep. Tom Perriello. The activist mistakenly posted Perriello's brother's home address. Gas lines to the grill in his back yard were cut and the FBI was called to investigate.

Tea Party brutality reached a fever pitch in the fall of 2010 in advance of the midterm elections. Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle openly advocated for "2nd Amendment remedies" and told her followers to "take Harry Reid out." Congresswoman and future 2012 presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said that she wanted her followers to be "armed and dangerous." In late October, Tim Profitt, Rand Paul's Bourbon County coordinator for his senate campaign, stomped the head of a MoveOn activist in a now-infamous video. On November 16, 2010, Minnesota State Rep. Tom Hakbarth was found loitering around a Saint Paul Planned Parenthood with a loaded gun. He was detained, but not charged with a crime. He was subsequently stripped of his leadership positions in the state House. During the 2010 campaign, Sarah Palin created and posted a map on her web site of the United States with rifle crosshairs on a handful of specific Congressional districts. One of those districts belonged to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who, along with 19 others, was shot on January 6, 2011, by the clearly deranged Jared Lee Loughner, an individual who professed interest in and sympathies with far-right gold standard conspiracy theories and anti-Semitism. Giffords is Jewish. A federal judge and a nine-year-old girl were among the nine that died. Immediately after the shooting, Palin scrubbed her web sites of the crosshair imagery.

On September 7, 2011, Gov. Rick Perry of Texas was asked about his record of executing 234 death row inmates and, before he could answer, a chorus of guttural approval rose from the audience. A week later, it happened again. Wolf Blitzer asked Congressman Ron Paul if an uninsured man should be allowed to die and, once again, cries and murmurs in the affirmative beat the candidate to the answer. On another occasion, Rick Perry was booed for the sin of having a moderate and realistic stance on the Dream Act and immigration - a subject about which he actually had some knowledge. A gay service member was booed after asking a question about don't ask, don't tell. In November, Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain were cheered by a debate audience in Orlando for voicing their support for harsh interrogation tactics that the rest of the world considers war crimes.

Which brings us to the historically blood-soaked ground of South Carolina. All of the frequencies that make up the conservative message are on display in this most crucial of primary states. They were all on display in Tuesday's debate. Downward class warfare (Romney), religious fundamentalism (Santorum), overt racism (Gingrich), fear and paranoia (Paul) and proud ignorance (Perry). But the one chord present throughout all the frequencies is the enjoyment of violence inflicted on one's enemies. Romney hissed that Bin Laden got what he deserved with "a bullet in the head" to loud applause. Paul was booed for suggesting we use the "golden rule" in conducting foreign policy. Mexico was weirdly booed when mentioned as George Romney's birthplace. Hopefully, this was because the audience perceived that the question was veering toward the Romney family's polygamous past, not that they were simply booing Mexico. Juan Williams was booed for asking Gingrich if his advocacy for poor child janitors was demeaning to a segment of our population, our unnamed black underclass. The audience howled, Newt paused, absorbed the outright hate on display and, disregarding the dog whistle, condescendingly threw it back in Williams' face by coyly calling him, "Juan." Perry sounded the most audible dog whistle of the night by declaring that the state of South Carolina was at war with the federal government. The roar that rose from the crowd had nothing to do with politics or state pride and everything to do with an inarticulate rage that had somehow wormed its way into political expression.

The first time that full-throated, violent conservative rhetoric was used so prominently was during the 1964 presidential nomination acceptance speech by Sen. Barry Goldwater. Goldwater had succeeded in routing New York Gov. Nelson Rockefeller for the nomination by leading an ultra-conservative insurgency not unlike today's Tea Party. He also voted against civil rights.

"And I would remind you that extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. And let me also remind you that moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue."

He proclaimed this less than a year after President Kennedy had been assassinated and Adlai Stevenson had been attacked by anti-UN demonstrators in Dallas. Goldwater later tried to explain the line away saying that he had tried to borrow it from Cicero, but mangled the quote. However, his "extremism in defense of liberty" line has been repeated and adopted by Republicans countless times over the decades, and has since almost become a commandment written in stone in the heart of every conservative as a call to physical arms. It has echoes across decades through the minds of tens of millions of Americans who have shown time and time again their enthusiasm to commit wanton acts of violence against their fellow countrymen. Many conservatives continue to see the Goldwater line as something that harkens back to the birth of the country, a solemn duty born in blood and gunpowder to resist monarchy and big government. It has become impossible to separate the most violent and extreme of right-wing positions from the base and now mainstream of the party.

Through each cycle, right-wing violence has peaked in times of effective Democratic presidents. In Dallas in 1963, in Oklahoma City in 1995 and in the Republican Party of today. Right-wing ideology has become accepted conservative ideology and has thus become mainstream Republican thought. This has sadly led me to wonder: Is there something inherently violent that exists in the conservative character? Is there something lurking just beneath the surface, waiting for one issue or another to justify the murder of the opposition? Are these people really just a bunch of psychos? Liberals and conservatives can disagree on the issue of capital punishment, but only one side has openly applauded the practice. We can disagree about the difference between market-based and government-run health care, but only conservatives have applauded the deaths of the uninsured. We can disagree about the political process, but only conservatives have consistently advocated for violent combat. This sadistic streak is reflected in Republican legislation and policies as well. It manifests itself in the continued support for the unrestricted gun rights that result in the deaths of thousands of Americans every year. In early 2011, the newly elected Republican Congress attempted to redefine forceful rape in what became a sustained assault on women's health. One could make the case that that the far left also has a history of bombings and violence, based on acts committed by sixties radicals. But that history does not come anywhere near the consistent and prolonged brutality of the right. Indeed, the Occupy Wall Street movement has universally sworn nonviolence. As we enter what promises to be an ultra negative election year, how else will the GOP base's violent tendencies and bloody fervor manifest itself? How much does the GOP's rhetoric have to deteriorate before a member of their base takes a shot at another politician?

All of this denotes a continued breakdown of the American process of being able to come together and build a better country for and with each other through compromise. Something needs to be corrected in the way American conservatives practice their politics. Modern Republican politics have become a contagion within the body politic of the United States. Why even have debates? When will their candidates stop wearing suits and start wearing fatigues? The Republican politics that I once enjoyed now trouble me deeply. Maybe it has always been this way. But it seems that conservative Republicans are devolving downward and backward until there is nothing left except to pick up a gun. What does it mean for our future when the base of one of the two major political parties is advocating the murder of the other? What kind of example are we setting and how long can we maintain it? Can it be ratcheted back? Because if it can't, theirs will continue to be a permanent civil war waged on their fellow citizens that manifests itself in the occasional "flare-up." Flare ups that result in the deaths of innocent people.

There is a vast reservoir of existing documentation across the Internet that ruins President Obama's Campaign 2012 re-election chances, rather than its opposite that would cause US to ever praise him.

Obama is a radical who represents nothing except national confusion and gridlock, which would spell the end of America if he were somehow re-elected for 4 More Years.

He fooled us once with his empty rhetoric, so shame on him, but if he fools us twice, then shame on all of us!!!

P.S.: Whenever you see a unnecessarily extra long comment or multiple comments, then that usually means that the Pro-Obama camp is deathly afraid of a previous comment and they are attempting to bury it so that some of you will never read it ...

That's an old-cheap social-networking commenting tactic, but everyone is NOW aware of it from Campaign 2008, so please be on your guard for it.

Obama is an Epic Failure!!!

multiple comments. Funny Oink. I make a comment you make two. I make another, you make three...oh and sorry if your attention span precludes your reading Mr. Kings statement. You could use the education. As to being deathly afraid. Your mildly amusing at times, more often disgusting in your adamant promotion of hateful ignorance and unskilled deceit...but am I "deathly afraid"? My you certainly do like to puff yourself up don't you. Delusional at best, poor thing.

Still no irrefutable proof of Obama's past or current kudos of greatness (of course how could we witness this with Obama sealing-up all of his records and transcripts right after his 2009 Inauguration Day Hmmm!!), just flat rhetoric, flaming & baiting ...

No Proof ...

And that is all that we seem to see ... So far.

If Dubya and his corrupt administration haven't been indicted for his/their many acts of treason I doubt that anyone in top postions in D.C. will. IF they should though, starting with Dubya would make the best example and do the most good for the morale of the American people as his and his administrations acts of treason cost the American people their economy...along with millions of their homes/jobs, lives of thousands of American troops, a half million innocent peoples lives in the middle east to date, and the conversion of our govenment of for/by/of the people to one of Corporate interest only.

You are so 'right on' Robert ! Thanks for the great comments you made above, on what I would general see as just another tabloid piece of crap thread for the specific purpose of bashing Obama based on B.S. and rightcrazywing hype There's plenty to be upset with these days in the world of politics but these type of tabloid hyped topic threads are usually not for any purpose other than Obama Bashing ..but hey , the haters/politically ignorant/rascist who usually join in on the 'bashing ' on such threads do earn and hopefully redeem their credits for one or more of causes for doing so on care2, also...So it seems that they do have some use on a progessive/liberal site if for no other reason.

True, I am inclined to make fun of a fool, not argue with it. You are not reasonable, so why would I waste time trying to reason with you? I would suggest you get a life, but you've already chosen one, its lame, and reason has no place in it. You are "Pink Tabloid" and glad for any attention you can get. Integrity is not something you worry yourself about even a little bit.

Afraid, Nope, disgusted. Oh yes. You make the world, in your own puny way a bit more bleak corrupt, sad and pathetic. I will spend very little precious time trying to persuade you out of your demented fantasies. One may as well talk to a wall.

PinkMindy the video is so ridiculous it makes me ill to believe that the person who put it up and you would use such obvious garbage. As most know I have my beefs with my President but I am NOT on a witch hunt! I'm not prejudice! I am seeking answers to why certain trouble makers, who were on the GWB dole, are still allowed to work within the Obama administration.

And if push came to shove there's no way I would vote for a Republican President! In fact I believe that the Congress must be cleaned out of most Republicans and at least 28 Democrats. That's my goal and I believe that many Americans are beginning to feel the same way.

Congress is stinking up the entire American process with a great deal of financial aid from their Wall Street/Plutocrat/corporate/ friends. Self-serving, Conflicts of interest, collusion, nepotism and other crimes are very worthy of being called treasonous acts. What 5 Republican leaning Supreme Court Justices did with "Citizens United" was an act of treason. Declaring war on Iraq was treasonous and if this administration gets caught up in the Iranian issue it will fall into that category as well. National Defense Authorization Act being passed points an accusing finger at Congress and this present administration.

Why don't you start with the Congress if you care about America Mindy? Obama's one man. Now the Congress has 538. 100 senators and 438 members in the House of Representatives. At least half MUST GO! Are you game Mindy?

Sorry, this video clip of little snipits taken out of context does not prove anything. I'm not a big Obama fan but I am not a big fan of the Republicans either. Both Parties have failed this Country in many ways, but let us not promote these email type snipits that do nothing to serve this Country and what is going on in general.

In it he states, "I know some wish....I could bypass Congress" Well he is reflecting on the frustrations that most all the American people are feeling that Congress is so deadlocked to get things done to move this Country forward in a more positive way. He wasn't shouting I want to be King and bypass Congress. This does not show treason so is a strong title to a nah nah video.

No this video leaves me flat, there is a lot of news that can be placed on here, the drumbeat to Iran is going strong, what is our Peace President doing about it? Why can't the Republicans do what is best and raise taxes to help pay off the war in Iraq we were lied into by the Bush Administration. BOTH sides have failed us......this is where the Americans all need to get with the picture.

Some on C2 beat to death the Obama is the devil and others beat to death that all Republicans are scum, that is not moving us forward. See the flaws of both sides, expose real critical news articles not propaganda tapes for one side or the other, and get this Country to move forward. There is a good middle ground that we can all walk on that we do not need to fear to tread, but until all Americans stop trying to poke each other in the eye we are never going to get there.

I'm a life long Independent neither Republican nor Democrat, and you have put on some good stories in the past, but this isn't one of them, in my humble opinion.

Aside from the fact this article and video is over the top, the truth IS, Obama has a Democratic House to work with - has he done so? No. Because Obama is good at victim speeches, he could have generated a hell of a lot of bills, and legislature from a Democratically controlled House. If the Senate voted down his bills, then he would have something to say.
All he is doing is complaining(whining) about the government. Generate SOMETHING to complain about!

President Obama is just another extension of the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld regime, which equals absolutely ...

NO DIFFERENCE!!!

Obama = 1% Rich Elite and he doesn't even really care about the 99% and if you don't think so, then you must be wearing those rose-colored blinders again.

President Obama continues at this very moment to implement the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld wartime playbooks right down the line, so where is the difference!?!?

I repeat: NO DIFFERENCE!!!

The very fact that this video exists and that it's going viral across the Internet right now, and further that this Care2 article is receiving a constant flow of current action, then I personally submit to you in evidence, that ...

NOT EVERYONE IS SATISFIED WITH PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA!!!

I agree PinkMindy, not everyone is satisfied with President Obama, but too many are satisfied with cheap shots and this video is one of them. I constantly get the cheap shots on emails but otherwise good thinking people when it comes to other matters, yet they pass along the cheap shot crap.

Give me something with substance concerning any issue......this isn't it. This is the same cheap shots that is all too common now in the debates and other places. While we have serious issues that need to be addressed, the one liners, cheap shots get the attention, go viral and serve only to dumb down this society. We ALL suffer from the dumbing down.

This one line propaganda is what has gotten us into the messes we are in. No one takes the time to read anymore, to investigage, to debate with their neighbors, too many just want to run off to tonights football game, their Dance With the Stars, drink their beer, sip their wine, and throw out the one liners and assume "someone else" is taking care of things. An easy fix in this Country of instant breakfast, fast foods, and I can't be bothered to watch the half hour video of substance you gave me, but the quick cheap shots......sure the people will race those around the internet.

How about taking the time to watch something like the following video. But too few will, and so they don't raise their intellectual capacity.....which leaves these nah nah videos racing around the internet and to everyones email boxes.
CONVERSATION BETWEEN CHRIS HEDGES AND LAWRENCE LESSIG....Getting Money out of Politics

Now that is a video that should go viral......but it won't because it isn't instant enough, can't open their minds and pour it into their brains in under 5 minutes or less. Isn't snappy, doesn't have sex whatever else the public seeks for entertainment, so they'll just sink to the lowest brain levels and watch the crap.

As I said, you've put on some good articles in the past, I think you should try to keep doing so, don't sink to these types of videos that serve to do nothing to improve anything, expect the person who made the video can tell their buddies, hey, my video got_________hits in a week. ha ha ha ha......hey, pass me another beer.

Allen Y. Do you have any concept how our Govt works? You seem to have no clue as to which house is which or who is the Majority in either so one wonders at the depth of your ignorance and just how deep it goes. It takes "BOTH" houses and the President to pass law and otherwise get much done. Not just one, no matter which is Democrat or Repugnant. The house is Dem but not by enough to override filibusters and "The House" is in case you have been asleep, deeply Repuke with a strong stench of Tea.

Only idiots would blame Obama for not doing anything while he is blocked, and then say he wants to be a dictator when he points out his dilemma. They are not just idiots, but idiots who want it both ways.

It's quite obvious that when it comes to having adults expecting Obama to be responsible about his own short falls and destruction the liberals somehow feel they have to bring Bush into the equation to make a comparison as to who did "more worse"..kinda like Johnny and Billy fighting..."You did it!"
no.."You did it!"..no "it's all your fault!"...no it isn't "You were the one who did that!"...no I did that because you did this!" Geeeeesssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......

President Obama now owns the mess and he has accepted the responsibility for the mess, so therefore ...

It's His mess to clean up, because remember ALL of those Campaign 2008 empty promises that He made to US, just like any other delinquent politician!!! ...

Some "promises" were made with hopes that he would find the "loyal" opposition acting reasonably and for the good of the nation. This has not the case. Obama has met a wall. I am not "for" Obama which is to say I am not happy with some decisions he has made, but I'm not sucked in by the "its his fault" simpletons who ignore the wall as an excuse for who makes up that wall. During his first three years, among that which has bothered me most was Obama's stubborn efforts to "reach" across the isle, ignoring the mangled hand that came back. When his hand gut gnawed on, we all felt the pain...even those who blame him only, as Re-party self interest and desire to help only the rich, hurt the recovery effort over and over again..

This in not Rupuke bashing, and it does not make a case for Obama sainthood, but is clearly and factually what has happened. We have been held back in our recovery by an obstructionist House full of people who drool at the idea of shutting it and Obama down, no matter what the cost to their fellow Americans.

Notice "the tabloid" jumps on any admission of some blame by Dems and or Obama as a way to say they are just the same and Equally at fault. Not true. Dems faults are real but more made up of submitting to, rather than causing. They have rolled over far to often, been corrupt far too often, and cowardly and greedy too, and have become part of the problem. It is time for them to stand up or be replaced. But the same at the Repukes or equally to blame. No.

Seriously...where is the "treason" you're talking about? Executive Orders? There is a vague grant of "executive power" in Article II, Section 1, Clause 1 of the Constitution, and furthered by the declaration "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed" made in Article II, Section 3, Clause 4, which has been used by all presidents. President George Washington issued the first executive order three months after being sworn into office.

E.O. signed by G.W.Bush (National Archives record):

2009 - E.O. 13484 - E.O. 13488 (5 Executive orders issued)
2008 - E.O. 13454 - E.O. 13483 (30 Executive orders issued)
2007 - E.O. 13422 - E.O. 13453 (32 Executive orders issued)
2006 - E.O. 13395 - E.O. 13421 (27 Executive orders issued)
2005 - E.O. 13369 - E.O. 13394 (26 Executive orders issued)
2004 - E.O. 13324 - E.O. 13368 (45 Executive orders issued)
2003 - E.O. 13283 - E.O. 13323 (41 Executive orders issued)
2002 - E.O. 13252 - E.O. 13282 (31 Executive orders issued)
2001 - E.O. 13198 - E.O. 13251 (54 Executive orders issued)

291 Total Executive orders Issued. http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/wbush.html

Or am I somehow missing your point?

Each of the dates on the National Archives site is a link to all the E.O. signed by Obama. None of them seems terribly treasonous. In fact, quite a few of them seem to be of benefit to the entire country.

Disposition of Executive orders signed by President Barack Obama:

2009 - E.O. 13489 - E.O. 13527 (39 Executive orders issued)
2010 - E.O. 13528 - E.O. 13562 (35 Executive orders issued)
2011 - E.O. 13563 - E.O. 13596 (34 Executive orders issued)

108 Total Executive orders Issued. http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/obama.html

Jason, I don't see it. From where I sit, it looks like Mindy is at least right about one thing: Right or Left makes no real difference. As for Obama, if he had actually kept some promises, I would have rejoiced as much for that as for the fact that my country looked to be finally growing up and moving beyond skin color. Nope; it didn't, hasn't, ain't likely to. He was elected because the nightmare thought of the senile war-hawk McCain and the ditzy Dominionist fanatic Palin occupying the White House was just too much for ANYONE to take. Voters would have had to know Obama's real agenda to vote for that pair, and they may not have regardless! No matter - Obama appointed most of Bush's old appointees, and the others not on the CFR or with PNAC are still old Cheney/Bush - Wall Street insiders there to align "our government" with the corporations and Codex. The Republicans appear to have gone entirely around the bend and are headed down the track aiming for the NEXT twisty-turny bend. They are more violent, more anti-Middle Class, more anti-Women, more anti- EVERYTHING except the Rule-by-Wealth and lies, falsely religious, cheating, theft and violence they've been pushing hard for. They simply aren't sane any longer as far as I can tell.

Neither are the Democrats. They're as ball-less a batch of liars and cowards as I've ever had the misfortune to see in power. The only way they could do what they're doing any better is for all of them to quit their own party and openly become Republicans. Obama himself has done the opposite of pretty much everything he promised, and he's been quoted several times talking about "It's just a campaign promise," and "They were just campaign promises; don't worry about it." He's a shameless liar who thinks nobody in America has a memory or knows how to use Google or YouTube. And now if he wasn't BEFORE the NDAA and the others, he's a traitor now! So is every damned Congressman and woman who signed it.

Considering the almost countless-seeming sources of poison being foisted on the American people -psychological poison from the endless lies emanating out of Washington D.C. and the Propaganda Arm if the U.S. Government, formerly known as the Mainstream Media, and the poisons now in the air, the water, the food, the medications, you can pretty much name it, and there's only one conclusion to reach.

The American people are being massively disenfranchised as well as being robbed blind; the economy is being deliberately sabotaged such that around election time or a bit before that, it will totally collapse. I expect that power will fail all over, as will water services, gasoline will be unavailable, martial law will be declared (or simply enacted), and there will be a lot of free rides to temporary government housing made available courtesy of Xi, the U.S. military and "our government" while the more politically annoying of us are rounded up and relocated and/or killed. Maybe it won't go quite that far - but it COULD; it's all set up and ready to go. Considering all of the immune system suppressants, the neurotoxins and tranquilizing agents in the vaccines, the chem-trails, the water supplies, the medications, in the foods and their containers, etc., I'm surprised there are as many of us as there are who are able to think and oppose this completion of the insider takeover that was really begun by Bush/Cheney/Rove as much as we have. It has been a long but classic Machiavelli/games theory all the way.

I wish I had a solution to offer, but I don't. I think we're out-gunned. Have you noticed that the cops are now almost all violence-tending, order-following, low-IQ knuckle-draggers? They'd be perfectly happy to burn the Constitution and follow any order they're given. The returned military will have mustered out the decent young people, who will have been turned into hamburger mentally and physically, keeping the ones who enjoy throwing small puppies over cliffs after petting them, and raping fifteen year old girls and then burning them with their casually murdered families for recreation before having a barbecue. Mandated vaccines and chem-trails will spread plagues from East to West, and I'd almost bet money that the toxins in canned foods and other sources of less-costly foods are going to be tripled just before this, too. That's the food that people will be stocking up on just before the shit hits the fan.

I think this election is, like the last one and especially the two before that, theater, and it really doesn't matter which insane, unfit, treasonous candidate wins it, whether he actually wins it or not. I think it's gong to be war n the streets, or it's going to be quiet mass-executions in the name of "national security," and the people right next door to the camps, when the international troops show up, will have been totally unaware of the horrors taking place there. I know - it all sounds so familiar, doesn't it? It really, really does.

I think it's a mistake to try to predict the future when the present is so volatile: Anything could happen, or nothing could happen, and when dire predictions are not met, we lose credibility. It's better to focus on the present, which is already insane and kafkesque and horrifying.

Shakespeare had it right: One can smile and smile and be a villain. Obama does a lot of smiling. I admit, there are worse villains, but that does not make Obama good.

"We the people" keep looking for someone to trust.

* Bill Clinton, because he is affable -- and got Waco and naked aggression against Yugoslavia
* George Bush, because he is a yahoo -- and got 9/11 and a trillion-dollar holocaust in Iraq
* Colin Powell, because he is black -- and got the spectacle at the U.N.
* Obama, because he is Harvard -- but the same could be said of Kissinger

Why do all of these characters turn into villains?!

To get elected to high office in the U.S., one almost has to be a soulless sociopath -- a con-man without a conscience, an empty suit, a puppet. The puppet may be smiling, but you can't go by that: You have to look at who is pulling the strings.

The strings are pulled by the party. In the U.S. today, we have only one party, the War and Welfare Party. And the "welfare" side is being cannibalized to pay for war-making.

The Party has two wings, a D wing and an R wing. The wings exist to keep "we the people" divided and fighting each other. They create the illusion of choice. Together, the wings form a "soft-cop hard-cop" routine, with the D's serving as enablers for the R's.

Obama got elected by showing that he is willing to take orders and serve the party. What party? There is only one: The party of the 1%, the party of war and dependency. Obama, McCain, Bush and Romney all work for the same employer. They're all on the same team -- the team that "hates us for our freedom".

What's the alternative, PinkMindy Ellinwood?

Isn't this a diabolical system? We're always left with no choice but to vote for the lesser evil. That means that we always end up with evil, evil in the form of more war, more tyranny, more debt, more corruption, more subservience to Israel.

* When we vote R, we get evil masked as Patriotism.
* When we vote D, we get evil masked as Idealism.

And because we have the ILLUSION of choice, we spend our time fighting each other.

Aristotle and Montesquieu both warn us that elections are not what they seem. Elections actually lead to oligarchy, not democracy. The alternative that these two great philosophers recommend is
"Sortition", also known as "aleatory democracy".

See "How can we restore democracy in the U.S."

Democracy does not mean "elections". Democracy means "rule by the people", rule by the 99%.

That rule does not start with elections: It starts with choice, information organization and movement.

* We have to decide that we want to rule.
* We have to inform ourselves and learn how to think for ourselves
* We have to transcend emotional wedge issues and unite
* We have to show the 1% that we have the power to shut down their economy

Once we do these things, we will begin to have decent candidates for office, and then it will not matter whom we choose, because all will be good.

New CNN (R) Poll:
Obama 51%
Romney 45%

But we need a Left House or they'll never let any one take the country back from the rich.

"Corporations are people, my friend". Remember who Romney is.

Watch C-span. Don't be politically ignorant. Learn how our government works. Then you won't say things like, "Jason, I don't see it. From where I sit, it looks like Mindy is at least right about one thing: Right or Left makes no real difference." OR, "President Obama = Saul Alinsky + George Soros = 1% Rich Elite + Radical Treason = NO 99%!!! "
Saul Alinsky has been dead a long time. Soros is one man on the left, against a world of rich, greedy bastards.

We had a Karl Rove led, fascist coup in 2000. It's still there. Taxing the rich 70% after their first million is the ONLY way to save and rebuild this country. Stop the hate and idiocracy now!

Jason,

I’ll be discussing money and politics with Jack Abramoff, the notorious lobbyist who served time in prison for his corrupt practices, TODAY at Public Citizen’s offices in Washington, D.C.

We’re streaming the discussion live online at 1:00 p.m. EST.

www.citizen.org/abramoff

I’m expecting a lively conversation, with Abramoff calling for the clean-up of a system he has likened to legalized bribery.

I hope you’ll tune in at 1:00.

Sincerely,

Robert Weissman
President, Public Citizen

Jason R. writes:

> We had a Karl Rove led, fascist coup in 2000. It's still there.

That's the problem I have with Obama: He has failed to resist that coup and undo it.

None of the people responsible for the trillion-dollar holocaust in Iraq have been held accountable. Obama refuses to do it. Thus, he becomes the coup's enabler. By protecting the coup, he becomes complicit in the coup.

Obama's capitulation to the Republicans is hard to believe and hard to explain. He seems less like a community organizer and more like the front-man the slum lords and bankers send out to notify the residents that their tenements will be demolished.

The demonization campaign that Republicans have waged against Obama has served TWO purposes, not one.

* First, of course, it has kept the Republican base in mindless acquiescence

* Second, it has driven thinking people into Obama's camp. We reason that the guy must be great, if Republicans hate him so much.

What we don't realize is that we are being played by a hard-cop / soft-cop routine. There is only one police force in the town, and similarly, there is only one party in America. Obama serves this party, and Romney serves it. Bush, McCain, Clinton, Gore -- they all serve it. They all work for the same boss, and that boss is NOT "we the people".

Now, how does this one-party system elicit our support? It plays us off against one another. When it wants to make war, it manipulates our emotions, exploits our fear, fans our ethnic hatred, nurtures our cynicism, etc.. Similarly, when it wants to get one of its traitors elected, it uses emotional manipulation to divert us and blind us. One wing of the party pretends to hate the other. In this way, the election circus becomes like a football match, with citizens coming to the defense of "Their Team". Instead of serving as a check on power and corruption, we become cheerleaders for power (and corruption). We drink the kool-aid, then wonder why we keep getting sicker.

I agree with Suzy F. -- the snippets are not indicative. Obama needs to be judged by his actions, not by a few words taken out of context.

It is the actions, not the snippets, that support PinkMindy Ellinwood's contention. The partisan propaganda video undermines her credibility and thus weakens the case against Obama.

In 2008, I did not vote for Obama: I voted for Change, and I voted against Bush. What we've ended up with is Bush III, Bush in a sugarcoat that makes him easier for "progressives" to swallow. Maybe that overstates the case, but not by much. If the "Left" is not willing to critique the Messiah, then let us hear from the "Right". If PinkMindy Ellinwood can help us to become a little less worshipful, then let her speak!

Thank you Charles O. for recognizing the Freedom of Speech and the Free Press as well.

My main point is that not everyone is ecstatic about President Obama's job performance since being in the White House.

Here is some more evidence to ponder:

I'll try and listen in! BTW - I don't say that what I wrote WILL happen - just that's everything is SET UP to happen that way. It's a counter to a move by the citizens to take back power. And I don't see a counter to it. The fact that all of those anti-American laws got passed with hardly a squeak from the public (that's with the help of the MSM) worries me. A fascist nation is already set up - on paper - and ready to go.

Just watched the interview with Jack Abramoff. Very interesting. Some suggestions: you really need an assistant director who's watching what's going out over the Net. Mr. Abramoff's mike had a short somewhere in the line, and he's a dynamic figure when he speaks - he moves around a lot, and often he cut off his own voice. He's also LOUD! You came across as a whisper and I missed some of what you said. For all but the last questioner from the audience that volume was also far too low. Regardless, I enjoyed it, minus some frustration. Thank you for presenting this!

"That's the problem I have with Obama: He has failed to resist that coup and undo it. "

That's because "they" own the media that would crush him, Charles O. We needed to impeach bush. That's when the time was ripe. Any one can see that no matter who is sworn in to potus, the shadow government and MIC is in charge. Voting in a republican house put the breaks on any kind of recovery. That was the biggest mistake a supposedly informed america has ever made. They literally put the foxes back into our hen house.
C-span, Pepole! Learn who is really in charge.

The term shadow government besides its party political meaning can also refer to what is sometimes called "the secret government" or "the invisible government" , an idea based on the notion that real and actual political power does not reside with publicly elected representatives

From the horses mouth...It IS going to get really bad!

Reagan insider: 'GOP destroyed U.S. economy"

By Paul B. Farrell, MarketWatch

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. (MarketWatch) -- "How my G.O.P. destroyed the U.S. economy." Yes, that is exactly what David Stockman, President Ronald Reagan's director of the Office of Management and Budget, wrote in a recent New York Times op-ed piece, "Four Deformations of the Apocalypse."

Get it? Not "destroying." The GOP has already "destroyed" the U.S. economy, setting up an "American Apocalypse."
Jobs recovery could take years

In the wake of Friday's disappointing jobs report, Neal Lipschutz and Phil Izzo discuss new predictions that it could be many years before the nation's unemployment rate reaches pre-recession levels.

Yes, Stockman is equally damning of the Democrats' Keynesian policies. But what this indictment by a party insider -- someone so close to the development of the Reaganomics ideology -- says about America, helps all of us better understand how America's toxic partisan-politics "holy war" is destroying not just the economy and capitalism, but the America dream. And unless this war stops soon, both parties will succeed in their collective death wish.

But why focus on Stockman's message? It's already lost in the 24/7 news cycle. Why? We need some introspection. Ask yourself: How did the great nation of America lose its moral compass and drift so far off course, to where our very survival is threatened?

We've arrived at a historic turning point as a nation that no longer needs outside enemies to destroy us, we are committing suicide. Democracy. Capitalism. The American dream. All dying. Why? Because of the economic decisions of the GOP the past 40 years, says this leading Reagan Republican.

Please listen with an open mind, no matter your party affiliation: This makes for a powerful history lesson, because it exposes how both parties are responsible for destroying the U.S. economy. Listen closely:
Reagan Republican: the GOP should file for bankruptcy

Stockman rushes into the ring swinging like a boxer: "If there were such a thing as Chapter 11 for politicians, the Republican push to extend the unaffordable Bush tax cuts would amount to a bankruptcy filing. The nation's public debt ... will soon reach $18 trillion." It screams "out for austerity and sacrifice." But instead, the GOP insists "that the nation's wealthiest taxpayers be spared even a three-percentage-point rate increase."

In the past 40 years Republican ideology has gone from solid principles to hype and slogans. Stockman says: "Republicans used to believe that prosperity depended upon the regular balancing of accounts -- in government, in international trade, on the ledgers of central banks and in the financial affairs of private households and businesses too."

No more. Today there's a "new catechism" that's "little more than money printing and deficit finance, vulgar Keynesianism robed in the ideological vestments of the prosperous classes" making a mockery of GOP ideals. Worse, it has resulted in "serial financial bubbles and Wall Street depredations that have crippled our economy." Yes, GOP ideals backfired, crippling our economy.

Stockman's indictment warns that the Republican party's "new policy doctrines have caused four great deformations of the national economy, and modern Republicans have turned a blind eye to each one:"
Stage 1. Nixon irresponsible, dumps gold, U.S starts spending binge

Richard Nixon's gold policies get Stockman's first assault, for defaulting "on American obligations under the 1944 Bretton Woods agreement to balance our accounts with the world." So for the past 40 years, America's been living "beyond our means as a nation" on "borrowed prosperity on an epic scale ... an outcome that Milton Friedman said could never happen when, in 1971, he persuaded President Nixon to unleash on the world paper dollars no longer redeemable in gold or other fixed monetary reserves."

Remember Friedman: "Just let the free market set currency exchange rates, he said, and trade deficits will self-correct." Friedman was wrong by trillions. And unfortunately "once relieved of the discipline of defending a fixed value for their currencies, politicians the world over were free to cheapen their money and disregard their neighbors."

And without discipline America was also encouraging "global monetary chaos as foreign central banks run their own printing presses at ever faster speeds to sop up the tidal wave of dollars coming from the Federal Reserve." Yes, the road to the coming apocalypse began with a Republican president listening to a misguided Nobel economist's advice.
Continued from page 1
Page 1Page 2
Stage 2. Crushing debts from domestic excesses, war mongering

Stockman says "the second unhappy change in the American economy has been the extraordinary growth of our public debt. In 1970 it was just 40% of gross domestic product, or about $425 billion. When it reaches $18 trillion, it will be 40 times greater than in 1970." Who's to blame? Not big-spending Dems, says Stockman, but "from the Republican Party's embrace, about three decades ago, of the insidious doctrine that deficits don't matter if they result from tax cuts."

Back "in 1981, traditional Republicans supported tax cuts," but Stockman makes clear, they had to be "matched by spending cuts, to offset the way inflation was pushing many taxpayers into higher brackets and to spur investment. The Reagan administration's hastily prepared fiscal blueprint, however, was no match for the primordial forces -- the welfare state and the warfare state -- that drive the federal spending machine."

OK, stop a minute. As you absorb Stockman's indictment of how his Republican party has "destroyed the U.S. economy," you're probably asking yourself why anyone should believe a traitor to the Reagan legacy. I believe party affiliation is irrelevant here. This is a crucial subject that must be explored because it further exposes a dangerous historical trend where politics is so partisan it's having huge negative consequences.

Yes, the GOP does have a welfare-warfare state: Stockman says "the neocons were pushing the military budget skyward. And the Republicans on Capitol Hill who were supposed to cut spending, exempted from the knife most of the domestic budget -- entitlements, farm subsidies, education, water projects. But in the end it was a new cadre of ideological tax-cutters who killed the Republicans' fiscal religion."

When Fed chief Paul Volcker "crushed inflation" in the '80s we got a "solid economic rebound." But then "the new tax-cutters not only claimed victory for their supply-side strategy but hooked Republicans for good on the delusion that the economy will outgrow the deficit if plied with enough tax cuts." By 2009, they "reduced federal revenues to 15% of gross domestic product," lowest since the 1940s. Still today they're irrationally demanding an extension of those "unaffordable Bush tax cuts [that] would amount to a bankruptcy filing."

Recently Bush made matters far worse by "rarely vetoing a budget bill and engaging in two unfinanced foreign military adventures." Bush also gave in "on domestic spending cuts, signing into law $420 billion in nondefense appropriations, a 65% percent gain from the $260 billion he had inherited eight years earlier. Republicans thus joined the Democrats in a shameless embrace of a free-lunch fiscal policy." Takes two to tango.
Stage 3. Wall Street's deadly 'vast, unproductive expansion'

Stockman continues pounding away: "The third ominous change in the American economy has been the vast, unproductive expansion of our financial sector." He warns that "Republicans have been oblivious to the grave danger of flooding financial markets with freely printed money and, at the same time, removing traditional restrictions on leverage and speculation." Wrong, not oblivious. Self-interested Republican loyalists like Paulson, Bernanke and Geithner knew exactly what they were doing.

They wanted the economy, markets and the government to be under the absolute control of Wall Street's too-greedy-to-fail banks. They conned Congress and the Fed into bailing out an estimated $23.7 trillion debt. Worse, they have since destroyed meaningful financial reforms. So Wall Street is now back to business as usual blowing another bigger bubble/bust cycle that will culminate in the coming "American Apocalypse."

Stockman refers to Wall Street's surviving banks as "wards of the state." Wrong, the opposite is true. Wall Street now controls Washington, and its "unproductive" trading is "extracting billions from the economy with a lot of pointless speculation in stocks, bonds, commodities and derivatives." Wall Street banks like Goldman were virtually bankrupt, would have never survived without government-guaranteed deposits and "virtually free money from the Fed's discount window to cover their bad bets."
Stage 4. New American Revolution class-warfare coming soon

Finally, thanks to Republican policies that let us "live beyond our means for decades by borrowing heavily from abroad, we have steadily sent jobs and production offshore," while at home "high-value jobs in goods production ... trade, transportation, information technology and the professions shrunk by 12% to 68 million from 77 million."

As the apocalypse draws near, Stockman sees a class-rebellion, a new revolution, a war against greed and the wealthy. Soon. The trigger will be the growing gap between economic classes: No wonder "that during the last bubble (from 2002 to 2006) the top 1% of Americans -- paid mainly from the Wall Street casino -- received two-thirds of the gain in national income, while the bottom 90% -- mainly dependent on Main Street's shrinking economy -- got only 12%. This growing wealth gap is not the market's fault. It's the decaying fruit of bad economic policy."

Get it? The decaying fruit of the GOP's bad economic policies is destroying our economy.
Warning: this black swan won't be pretty, will shock, soon

His bottom line: "The day of national reckoning has arrived. We will not have a conventional business recovery now, but rather a long hangover of debt liquidation and downsizing ... it's a pity that the modern Republican party offers the American people an irrelevant platform of recycled Keynesianism when the old approach -- balanced budgets, sound money and financial discipline -- is needed more than ever."

Wrong: There are far bigger things to "pity."

First, that most Americans, 300 million, are helpless, will do nothing, sit in the bleachers passively watching this deadly partisan game like it's just another TV reality show.

Second, that, unfortunately, politicians are so deep-in-the-pockets of the Wall Street conspiracy that controls Washington they are helpless and blind.

And third, there's a depressing sense that Stockman will be dismissed as a traitor, his message lost in the 24/7 news cycle ... until the final apocalyptic event, an unpredictable black swan triggers another, bigger global meltdown, followed by a long Great Depression II and a historic class war.

So be prepared, it will hit soon, when you least expect.

Ah, c'mon PinkMindy, this is hardly what you'd call compelling evidence:)
You know Bush said this and this - but it´s obvious he´s joking, just as Obama when he´s talking about it being tempting to bypass congress. There were people who used these Bush-comments as "proof" that he was going to proclaim marshal law and set up a military dictatorship when his term was up. Well, guess what, the elites who dominate our society don´t do shit like that, cause they don´t have to, and it would just be stupid. The western world don´t need dictatorships, most of us are docile enough to be controlled by non-violent means!

So the "scare-tactics" - be it from the right or the left - is completely useless an counterproductive. First we have to make people engaged enough for it even being worth the effort to use force against them for the controlling elites of our society.

Pink attempts to find a silver lining to how many people disdain her message as proof of the importance of her message, because...after all, it is attention. If the reactions were slaps to the face, this fool would while continuing to cut and paste oft spouted and redundant drivel in response, proclaim victory, noting her bright red hue as irrefutable evidence.

Mindy is not wrong about EVERYTHING, just as you aren't RIGHT about everything, Robert. wow - things have changed since I was last here. Sorry about the long hiatus! Good to see you all, btw!

This destruction of the economy has been a deliberate, long and well-planned act. It's part and parcel with the New World Order the 'elites' have been hinting about all over the planet for a long time now. the GOP no longer hosts any real Conservatives - not a one of them conserve a damned thing. They follow orders. So do the Democrats. look at the laws that have been shoved down our throats lately: attacking women's healthcare, enabling big Pharma's super-high prices and their toxic "medicines," Helping to destroy the supplements industry, pushing GMOs. pushing Big Ag's contamination of foods with bacteria and radiation, disenfranchising as many Democrat-voting citizens as possible, imprisoning as many people as possible, and always, ALWAYS tying up funds, pumping them into war and other boondoggles, and the plot of the story applies to many, many other things. Taking money away from infrastructure and utterly DRAINING the Middle Class, which is the main target. They've even managed to lose - literally, "Sorry; no idea at all where the hell it went; it disappeared, it's just... gone!" The 'elites' hate, more than anything else, the Middle Class, and more than anything, that is exactly what they want gone! They have traditionally been the builders, the repair people... and the fighters. They are the reporters, the investigators, and the whistleblowers. They and the poor comprise the vast majority of the targets set by the 'elites', and with the dumbing down of schools and the general and the ongoing dumbing down of the population with chemicals, radiation of various frequencies and other actions that all suppress the immune system - meaning general health, and so general energy levels. So many of us seem dull, listless, tired and depressed. There've been a number a decent plans for dealing with all, but no one in Washington D.C. is listening. They have their orders.

this is what the article misses entirely. Yes, the economy has been destroyed - but it's been deliberately There was an agency created to deal with major disasters, but that's been infiltrated, subverted and destroyed as well. Why? Well, if you're going to build a New World Order, you have to destroy the Old World Order first.

I'm glad people can no longer be kicked out of the military because they are gay - I'm glad insurance companies can no longer refuse coverage if you happen to get sick - I'm glad credit card companies are being held accountable now. Just because Obama doesn't land on a ship and declare "mission accomplished" doesn't mean he hasn't done some good. He's not perfect, no- but he sure has been better than the doof before him.

It is easy to hate as hate brings people together; it creates all kinds of fantasies, it brings about various types of co-operation, as in war. love is seemingly much more difficult. You cannot learn how to love, but what you can do is to observe life and see its value as value is the first step towards love. don’t battle against hate, don’t say how terrible it is to hate but see it for what it is and let it drop away. there is already a loose form of world government called by many names. lets put this into perspective if we all as in the world human population became chistians or muslims or whatever tomorrow we would be in a new world order. fear stems from misunderstanding from ignorance and those who profit the most are the ones who keep fear alive. fear in this case is the reaction to the belief that something will do us harm, if we are all doing it together, as if we should be at odds with each other and that embracing togetherness has an "evil" intent.. behind every irrational fear lies an illusion maybe that of a sky daddy or of an "evil" overlord.. but what about universal rights and freedom to travel anywhere under the same protection and that companies could not hide in third world doing harm because we are unable to effect fairness and justice..ask yourself who really profits from our fear of togetherness from these labels of separation.. ask yourself what has changed in america or in the west because of a unified government(people).. there was a time that woman had no vote men were slaves children remained silent. ask yourself what is it you really fear other then fear its self.. if there are real things to think on then why not express the things that need change and stop the attack on change just for fear of the change without understanding why..
life has value beyond measure
Peace and Love

Watch for yourself as the past unfolds into a future determined by failure, as President Obama lays out his pipe-dream of 'Hope & Change'. Can we even really begin to believe that we bought his empty rhetoric through the simple gimmick of 'Yes We Can'???

All I witnessed during Campaign 2008, as I am still witnessing to this very day within Campaign 2012, is empty promises of 'Hope & Change', which are continuing to be made by a Chicago politician, but now with an added plea of patience coming from the 'Great Barack Obama' unto his dwindling-by-the-day rag-tag followers.

NO DIFFERENCE!!!

> We've arrived at a historic turning point as a nation that no longer needs outside enemies to destroy us, we are committing suicide. Democracy. Capitalism. The American dream. All dying. Why? Because of the economic decisions of the GOP the past 40 years, says this leading Reagan Republican.

Fascism is the ideology of national suicide. U.S. foreign policy is an expression of this loss of the will to live. Instead of defending its borders, our government takes orders from Israel, dictates to the world, and attacks countries that have not attacked or threatened the U.S.. It throws away the lives of our sons and daughters, along with countless lives in the countries it targets. Creating this carnage costs trillions.

Let's try to grasp the concept. Imagine the captain of the Titanic seeking out icebergs to ram. Iraq, the first iceberg, put a huge trillion-dollar rent in the hull. The ship is already listing. The captain then spots an even bigger iceberg on the horizon. "Full speed ahead!" he shouts. "Stay the course!". That's the U.S. government. The biggest killing machine in the world is run by people who have no grip on reality.

. .

> Back in 2002, journalist Ron Suskind had a meeting with a “senior adviser” to George W. Bush and what that adviser told him seems appropriate for any such gravestone or future memorial to American defeat:

> > The aide said that guys like me were “in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who “believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality. … That’s not the way the world really works anymore. … We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors … and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

> Here we have Obama joking about bypassing congress

I agree that Obama's statements should not be taken at face value. Obama should be judged by his actions, not by a few out of context words -- actions like NDA 2012 and the renewal of P.A.T.R.I.O.T. I & II, and the green light to Monsanto and the pass he has given to all of the Bush war criminals.

Yes, Obama is joking. But the very fact that he sees dictatorship as something to joke about tells us something.

Remember when Bush joked about finding WMDs in his desk drawer? The very fact that Bush saw WMDs as a joke tells us that he knew from the start that there were no "Iraqi WMDs". And the very fact that Obama jokes about dictatorship tells us that he is not serious about defending the Constitution.

These are serious times. Our country is dying. What kind of people laugh at a funeral?

The abuse heaped on PinkMindy Ellinwood is inappropriate. We should welcome the opportunity Care2 gives us to dialogue with those who deviate from our own party line.

You cannot currently send a star to Dandelion because you have done so within the last week.

"These are serious times. Our country is dying. What kind of people laugh at a funeral? " ... This remark speaks to the blatant truth facing US!

Obama love him or leave him is still ONE MAN! Making one man the target sure makes it easy for the many culpable players to stay off the radar.

President Obama has certainly disappointed his base. But he has, within the limits allowed him, made some important strides.

I agree with Jason.. "That's the problem I have with Obama: He has failed to resist that coup and undo it. "

"That's because "they" own the media that would crush him, Charles O. " ... Who can deny this revelation?

I will reiterate: What do "We" accomplish by bashing one man when an entire, less a few brave hearts of the congress, have declared war on America? If President Obama went into the presidency in good faith and was honestly willing to change the status qua what do "We" think he, one man, could do?

This man walked into a hornets nest that's been breeding it's vile politics for many more years then Barack has been alive. PinkMindy why not put this energy behind exposing America's real enemies? From what I see you are forever going after President Obama and that makes me pause.

His base failed him in the last election 2 years ago and that allowed Republicans, Governors, to get some serious clout back and they've been on a rampage ever since. Now I did get weary of Obama's strength of conviction after that election 2 years ago which seemed to take the wind out of his sails.

But, he has said many times "He can't Do It Without US" and, he cannot. One man can only go so far when being blocked at every turn. And he has not had enough brave heart democrats in his corner because too many of them are on the corporate dole.

The outrageous prejudice that followed him into the White house is an abomination. America should be ashamed that she did not come out sooner to deflect the garbage that started to emerge out of the Dick Armey, Insurance influenced Tea Baggers.

But bless their hearts the "Occupy Movement" is doing something wonderful, making changes and growing it's forces. Come spring, look out America!

If Obama does not, can not, clean out the garbage in his administration that's been mucking up the country for many years now, what makes you think that a Republican will? Get a life! Prejudice and infighting is America's biggest enemy!

Unless "We" come together as ONE people, One Voice of reason, "We" are dooming ourselves! The corruption of the Congress demands that "We" do everything within our constitutional power and really clean out all the old trash that has been growing it's UN-American agendas. PinkMindy you certainly seem to be a smart lady but it's suspect what your motives really are.

Great to see you back Robert S.!
The Great PinkMindy Perpetual Propaganda Machine Inc. is in full gear on this thread. LOL!

She says: "Thank you Charles O. for recognizing the Freedom of Speech and the Free Press as well."
This coming from someone who herself said elsewhere "And don't any of you ever think...blah blah blah..." TELLING others what they should think and what they shouldn't think---yeah that's your self-proclaimed 'champion of free thinking' as she has billed herself.
"My main point is that not everyone is ecstatic about President Obama's job performance since being in the White House." Oh if it were only as simple as that. That's a far cry from continually being manic about Obama-bashing.
Does everyone notice how many multiple exclamation marks and question marks she uses? A direct indicator of how she thinks...everything in exaggeration and hyper-rhetoric....

Thanks Kenneth.

My absence, unfortunately precluded my enjoying your hiatus Ian, but your unsubstantiated backing of the Pink one reminds me why I enjoyed mine.

I hear what you're saying, Jason R., but this is not the time to give up. I know that fox/corporate media borgs" exist, but I'm not sure that PinkMindy E. is one of them. Whether she is or isn't, we have an obligation to be helpful. Finally, we're never going to get anywhere so long as we keep ourselves divided.

Ron Paul has done much to reach out to the "Left". He's the ONLY R or D politician speaking out against war-making! The only R OR D politician who defends the Constitution.

I voted for CHANGE in 2008. I voted against Bush and against war-making. What I got instead is Bush III.

I'm told that there is nothing Obama can do -- that "Yes we can!" has become "No we can't!". Really? He can use the bully pulpit, can't he? He can at least speak out against war and tyranny! He can at least speak out in favor of the Bill of Rights. Instead, he makes jokes about how nice it would be to have a dictatorship here in America.

I'm sick of it! I'm tired of this "Hope and Change" ACT. All of the change we've gotten so far is for the worse -- NDA 2012, two escalations in Afghanistan, the assassination of American citizens without trial, insurance racketeers in charge of health care, Monsanto's man overseeing the FDA.

The fix was in from the start, when Obama appointed Rahm Emmanuel. Of all the people Obama COULD have appointed!

Now Obama is taking us into WW III. When, if ever, will you realize that you have been CONNED?

I saw the same thing when Clinton reigned: "Progressives" covering up Waco, OKC, and the military exercises in our cities, then onto Yugoslavia, the precedent for Bush's attack on Iraq.

REAL progressives OPPOSE war! And they don't idolize politicians: They side with the PEOPLE.

all I can say is we are in a big mess and more bad is to come for all of us!!!!!!!!! We need postive change, not another war or gas and oil prices going up even more, these things are going to kill the American people even more!!!!!and when there is even less jobs, who will be putting money in the pot to pay unemployeement, welfare and all the people that are collecting checks in our goverment???? On top of things the greed is the frosting on the cake.I presently have a job and health insuracne, along with a home, but I wonder how long I will last!!!!!!! Its just a matter of time for all of us working class if something is not done with all of this mess!!!!!

You got proof that the MIC and shadow government (the right) still wield most of the power in this taken ocer country.

"this is not the time to give up. I know that fox/corporate media borgs" exist, but I'm not sure that PinkMindy E. is one of them."

S/he surely IS one of them. When you're dealing with some one deeply engrossed in a cult, when IS it a good time to give up? We've shown the light and turned as many borgs/cultists that we're going to.

Whenever I need an example of just how absolutely bat sh*t crazy the right is, I just give the link...

Any one that thinks that the corporate fascist, John Boehner has ever been on the side of the people, or invoked truth, is so far from reality, they're cooked. Done. What ever a pink mindy is, it is the enemy of the people.

Why is it, the right don't have petitions?

Because they have no voice.
