The Department of Homeland Security is now buying 450 million new fatal high performance HST bullets, which has been estimated to be able to kill every single American 1.4 times and President Obama is also limiting our rights and freedoms to protest!

Q.: How many dead Americans will it take to wake everyone up to our very own internal militaristic and already weaponized build-up???

A.: Either after every American is shot 1.4 times or just after the United States of America receives its name-change to read the new title of "The American Union"!!!

Although originally to be directed toward Borderland Security, this ammunition could easily be re-directed to our internal domestic militarized force and quickly used against US citizens!

Homeland Security has a bullet with your name on it.

Well we have been forewarned by Obama's "Fast & Furious Gun Walking" scandal, that has left countless Americans dead already!

And all that missing money ($535 Million) through Obama's corrupt Green Energy Myth known as the "Solyndra Scandal" too.

??????????????????????

More questions than answers from the non-transparent Obama administration -- Most would have to agree!

OMG ! ROFLMAO....!!! Another PINK TABLOID thread.

Sooooooo....Now he's a 'gangster'..yesterday he was a 'communis double agentt'...before that 'a socialist'..before that a 'muslim'..before that ,the son of a baker man or was that the Pillsberry doughman Newt..hummm. Anywhoooo.......What will the rightcrazywing tabloid mindsets say he is tomorrow, I do wonder...but I am fairly sure Pink or one of the groups teabagger/rightwing extremsit will be telling us a soon as the Enquiror or FoxFakeNews or Carl Rove comes up with something.

So much to think about..Shot 1.4 times ...is that once and a near miss..just how does that work ...hummmm.

Local friend has a birthday this week so maybe I will do that shopping thing also...she dropped and broke her bong so a new one would be something she could use. Yes, we can all help support the economy by going shopping this afternoon, if there is still time before the Marines start shooting their own in Omaha and who knows where else.

I never thought Hitler's nor Dubya Bush's Homeland Security departments were anything but tools for doing evil....but the christian extremist and other extremist rightcrazywingers supported them/it in both cases...

...sigh.

Well, since President Obama has been using the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld wartime playbooks all around the globe and right down the line, then this should at least make you scratch your head in serious wonder!

So is this a calculated move by the government to curb ammunition availability to civilians or is it simply another way for departments to spend a budget surplus in order to justify next years budget? But I thought hollow points while outlawed under the Geneva Convention for use in war, can you use them on citizens?

All of those bullets will be sugar-coated. That will make it easier for Obama-worshippers to swallow the war against the American people -- as the Clinton-worshippers swallowed the lawless military attack on a peaceable religious commune at Waco.

I say this as someone who voted for Obama. I still see him as the "Lesser Evil", though that doesn't say much since the R's, with the exception of Ron Paul, are even more addicted to war than Obama.

We Americans are trapped in a system of dreams and illusions -- the illusion of a "Two Party System" for example. In reality, there is only one Party with two wings. It's the Party of the 1%, the Party of War, the Party of Israel, the Party of subservience to corporate and foreign lobbyists, the Party of boundless corruption and zero accountability. That is the Party Obama serves -- the Goldman Sachs Party. It;s the same Party that Boener serves.

To get us Americans to vote for this Party, the Party divides itself into two wings, which then do a hard-cop soft-cop routine for us. By acting insane, the R's force us to embrace the D's -- though most of the D's are now to the right of Nixon. We will swallow anything, if the alternative is worse, and the system ensures that the alternative IS worse, always.

If Paul is on the ballot in 2012, I'll vote for Paul. Otherwise, I'll hold my nose and vote for the Capitulator, and then I'll wait for Obama and his 1% Party to make war on us.

We should keep in mind the words of Reverend Niemoeller: "First they came for the communists, and I didn't stand up ...".

Enforcement
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office is getting an "indefinite delivery" of an "indefinite quantity" of .40 caliber ammunition from defense contractor ATK.

We've also learned that the Department has an open bid for a stockpile of rifle ammo. Listed on the federal business opportunities network, they're looking for up to 175 million rounds of .223 caliber ammo to be exact. The .223 is almost exactly the same round used by NATO forces, the 5.56 x 45mm.

http://www.businessinsider.com/us-immigration-agents-are-loading-up-on-as-many-as-450-million-new-rounds-of-ammo-2012-3?utm_source=twbutton&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=defense

We/ve had huge, rediculous, stock piles of nuclear bombs for decades and more are being made and purchased to this date but as far as I know not one , so far, not one has been dropped on any u.s. cities. It all about tax dollars going to private corporations for profits for their products even if the government never entends to use them. The Military Industrail Complex has been pulling that scam for decades now...selling way more of an item than any one could ever use..even military wise..along with useless or out dated or non working items to the government for big bucks via lobbiest and or their paid for insider/congress/pentagon/defense department buddy deal$$$ etc.

When a president experiment fails as badly as that of Dubya Bush then I might get concerned but until then..not. Obama has yet to send hundreds of thousands of innocent people to their deaths for war profits as well as having taken our economy to it's knees over his failed policies but to date Obama hasn't done any of those things.

The options at this time running for president on the GOP side are certainly not to be considered if we want improvement so who would be ?

Seriously? Is someone still harping on Bush? With all of the UN agreements and foreign treaties signed by Obama, someone is still yammering about Bush? Bush was a globalist and Obama is a black radical, they both want to bring down America for slightly different reasons.

But they both intend to share positions in the new system that will be one world bank and international laws.

NATO will have boots on the ground here, as Obama has paved the way.

Yes Praetorian Slv...some of us have not lost focus on what party got us into the messes we as a nation are now in...that of Dubya Bush and his administration. To forgot about the how we can not find solutions and to blame the next guy for way too many of the things brough on by the last one...well that's just not the way to stop the next one from doing more of the same. Between Bush and Obama the messes are growing daily..some the on going results of Dubya , some due to Obama being to weak to not sign GOP bills, especially those that the GOPers have tacked on those needinglaws/spending etc. passed in a timely manner, in order to get their anti-whatever and spying bills passed as well as onto those that stall our recover in general.

Of course Obama doesn't have two wars he started to distract people and to yell support our troops while doing much the opposite as Bush and his administration did, so more reasons to remember who gave the push that started the snow balling into so many crisis at one time...and that being Dubya. You statement is like telling people to forget about Hitler and the death and destruction he brought to the world and to his own people...which some actuall do want to not be remembered in order to do the same as he did all over again. Same could/can be said for those who want others to forget about G.W. Bush. So yes..PraetorianSLv ,some us are still 'harping' as you call it, about Dubya Bush. FYI....History is a very good teacher.

,223 is not "like" the mil. uses,it is exactly the same round, just the civilian name for it. This is not about party,as neither represent their Parties, unless considering the New Democratic Party has next to nothing in common with it's ancestors. Truth Out should have same link so as not to need Face Book, which i agree, not good place to be.
This goes farther back than Bush,by a lot. Obama's killed needlessly, more than enough of his share, but unlike Bush, can not even try to claim it is for America or American's & in fact Obama has been heard to himself support America's Enemies, not surprising, being one.
Fair Warning One carries a side arm in case of need, one brings a rifle to a expected fire fight!
Pistols &shotguns are both defensive tools. A rifle is an offensive tool.

That Creature is both an illegal, known impostor, enemy combatant against the American people & America.

As I’m sure you know, the Washington Post Newspaper has always had a reputation for being extremely liberal, so the fact that their Editor saw fit to print the following article about Obama in their newspaper makes this a truly amazing event and a news story in and of itself. Finally, the truth about our radical President’s agenda is starting to trickle through the ‘protective walls’ built by our liberal media.

Matt Patterson (columnist - Washington Post, New York Post, San Francisco Examiner)

Government & Society

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages.

How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job? Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer"; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote "present") ; and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.

He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberaldom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.

Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest? Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon -affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.

Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.

And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.

What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people - conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.

The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of cliches, and that's when he has his teleprompter in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all.

Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth –

it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed

over and over again for 100 years.

And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence.

But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly? In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job.

When you understand that, and only when you understand that,

will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense.

It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.

Well Jae, all that I can say to your comment is that it is sadly shortsighted. If you think that Bush was the beginning of this path to globalism and International law, then you have some more reading to do.

And I think that you need to take a deeper look into the number of wars that Obama has us fighting at this time. Better yet, take a look at how Obama has circumvented our Constitution and has implemented treaties and agreements without the consent of the American voter.

History does repeat itself. How about we look into the history of the African government and what advice Obama gave to his cousin that was struggling for a elected position?

"Create riots"

Yes, indeed, history is a wonderful teacher. But only if people choose the correct history to read.

I think that you have some homework to do Jae.

Well said Jae! And Dandelion, I agree.
Until the people are willing to work to build a better country and hold their politicians accountable, all politicians, little can change. Mr Obama has had some success with turning around the economy and had he not been so soft on the Republican/Teabagger turncoats by trying to work with them collegially for so long, things might have been different.
Obama in 2012! For those that want a viable alternative to the Greedy Old Pharts (GOP), criminals all, and the Democrats, start building, and start now because you won't succede by Nov 2012, but you may have a chance in 2016.

Pink, instead of inflammatory rhetoric, why don't you put actions where your mouth is and start building a positive alternative instead of tearing everything down to rubble. Talk about sheeple . . . .

Ah, conspiracy wonks united, garbage in, garbage out.

For some facts are either meaningless or they don’t understand them. The ammunition contract is for a base of 12 months, and includes four option years, with a MAXIMUM volume of 450 million rounds, over five years.

DHS includes ICE, TSA, US Coast Guard, Secret Service, Customs and Border Protection, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and the Federal Protective Service, all of which have armed personnel.

“….internal domestic militarized force...,” your concern should be directed to local police organizations, not the DHS.

“…an HST body-armor piercing round…,” facts lost again, a hollow point bullet is not body-armor piercing, and is in fact used to reduce penetration. It is deadly without a doubt, but not against body-armor, and not much good for shooting through walls, etc.

ATK, who was awarded the contract, manufactures 6.5 BILLION ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION EVERY YEAR, of which the DHS contract works out to about 90 million rounds of that a year. While that may sound like an really huge amount, keep in mind the Army requires over 300 MILLION ROUNDS every DAY. Private purchases in America run around 7-10 BILLION ROUNDS every year. So, during the time DHS buys A MAXIMUM of 450 million HST rounds, private sales will total 35-50 BILLION ROUNDS.

Oh! God another flaming bag of Repug/Tea Bagged dog crap from the Pink(as in pass the Pepto)Fairy Godmother of Obama Derangement Syndrome. Interesting that there is just enough truth, all be it twisted and out of context, to make the rest of purely opinionated lies get swallowed by the choir.
One can add that one of the Pink Repug shills favorite Corporate Whores, Rep. Paul Ryan has proposed, and the Repug controlled US House passed, another of his "Piss on the 99%, kill Medicare, Medicaid, the old, the sick the disabled, the environment, tax the poor and More Tax cuts for the 1% budgets that increases the DOD Budget even while the One Credit Card War ends and the other winds down. One must also note that Ryan et alia have called the Military leaders LIARS for wanting less money because it will not profit their War Mongering War Profiteer owners. But then Facts are of no meaning to the Pink Lady of Intentional Stupidity and Obama Derangement Syndrome only her Opinion. Regardless of factual truth the Her NRA ass kissing compatriots of the Tea Bagged Second Amendment Remedies buy a thousand times more ammo for their extended clips and a military grade assault rifles not to mention the growing number of her kin in the militia movement.
On Second thought pass the barf bag Pepto won't work fast enough. And Pink and Stupid you do realize that you and one of your followers has advocated the assassination of the President of the United States of America, I would seriously suggest that both of you grow eyes in the back of your heads as that is a First Class Felony.

> Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal

-- Mike Patterson, *Washington Post* commentary quoted by John G..

When Patterson quotes Podhoretz, Patterson shows that he is nothing more than a neo-con aparatchik reciting the Limbaugh party-line. No wonder Patterson gets published in the *New York Post*.

The *Washington Post* "liberal"? -- then why does it publish Charles Krauthammer's ravings? The *WP*, like the *NYT*, is globalist and neo-lib, which makes it the enemy of real liberals and real conservatives.

Like most neo-cons, Patterson seems to be obsessed with race. Race was not even a factor in my decision to vote for Obama. I voted for him because he was not part of the Bush McCain clique. He appeared to be the lesser evil in 2008, and he represented "Change". After eight years of Bush, I was ready for change!

I was not optimistic: The CFR and the masked media vet the candidates in the U.S., which means that every candidate is an Israel-first war-loving globalist. But the R's seem to be maniacal in their devotion to war, whereas the D's seem a little less eager.

Jae,i will not pass on what is still or even that which should have been or remained classified, but be glad you do not know how wrong you are,re:nuclear. Though i will concede,so far as i & the world knows, your so far, technically correct-so far, though given gov.'s coverup's,care2 guess if they have been successful hiding some of their "mishaps"?

Those thinking gov.'s will not kill large percentages of their own peoples, need to do their homework,as this has many times already happened.

I did not say I doubt that they would ever delibertly use weapons on their own, just that there haven't been any 'shock and awe' so ta say, when I mentioned that I know of no bombs having been drop'd on any U.S. city. Way things are heading ...who knows what the near future will bring. History can teach us a lot of how to avoid things that have gone wrong in the past but it's not a crystal ball as to what some might come up with that hasn't taken place before etc. I just believe that we must keep History, as to our politicians/leaders esepecially, in our focus to know how/when to spot the serious changes in a wrong direction and since 2000 there have been a lot of obvious signs pointing to wrong directions for the U.S. , in my opinion.

I would like to add that I am happy to see others have decided to go 'head on' with the over hyped tabloid titles on rightwing threads.... . Spreading of this kind of hyped 'Ganster' tabloid stuff , just for the choir to go Obama bashing needs to be confronted. They serve no purpose as to facts or solutions,in my opinion, and should not be ignored if we are to bring about a new direction by looking very closely at both sides...especially that of Congress and all of the state level activities.

The sooner people wake up to the fact that Obama isn't the problem nor the solution, the sooner the majority of us can come together and have our united voices heard I believe. History along with the present are very connected at this time, politically speaking..that 'snowball thing', and that's what we all, I think, need to take the time to pay more attention to..not just go Obama bashing for racial or whatever the rightwings purpose is here on care2. If one wants falsehoods,B.S., fear, racism, hate, greed, the push for no seperation between church and sate and to ignore how we got into the majority of the on going crisis our nation faces currently..... they can tune into Rush Limbaugh or FoxFakeNews for that, as most of us know.

It's these type of 'hyped tabloid articles' that distract the rightwingers from facing what is going on with all sides and believeing that if only Obama wasn't President it all go away and we'd be fine. Continuing to let them hide their heads in the sand like that is not helping our nation more forward, begin our nations recovery...from the mess that History shows we are really in and that it's not just Obama who 'owns ' it now..it's we the people that do and it is up to us to look back as well as forward in order to bring our nation back to one of our Republic/constitution etc..

That's right Jae, I completely agree with you regarding taking action with the Third Party Occupy Movement (Occupy Movement has openly protested against President Barack Obama in just the last few months!), because time has nearly run out to publicly protest and therefore we must take immediate action before President Obama and his band of 1% rich elite puppets remove anymore of our rights and freedoms from US!!!

Hollow point ammo will go thru walls so is more dangerous than some may realize. True, those others do use larger ammo supplies, but the do not get blocks of ammo like this separate from their regular yearly amounts, unless mistaken, this was an additional special order of it.

Occupy Movement at one time might have been a good idea,& even after finding out who is bankrolling it all,it in it's early stages, could have been both taken over to give it a particular & pro American Platform,& at least some general Direction,& arguably,a viewable Leadership, none likely to be of any use now, plus once one knows who is mostly bankrolled Occupy,it is no longer a Movement most may want to have much to do with, though it still does denote the true State of mind,in America, that things for enough people & enough people to Care that strongly to act, exist in America now. George Siroccos is notoriously against the U S .

Obama like Bush is a One Worlder. Neither Party,as a "Party",means much anymore.
For those that have one to look at,judge by their written voting record, pretty much alone, not their mouths, not even pre election actions they can then repudiate later.

Care2 make a difference when there is exactly no difference in two people running for same Office:Vote then, for the one NOT IN Office, this does send a Big Message to All Politicians & all Parties & Party Hacks,as it is near impossible to remove one from Office once within. Done once,it is either just that person,or if large numbers lose their jobs, one election cycle, but repeat same repeatedly may = more than the standard Office seekers Head On /the Block,& major Direction Change-IF,"They",can then figure out what Changes to Change to,but then,do not let up,hold their feet to the fire,or wind up back at Square One,as has happened before.

Boy oh boy, for all you bitchers and moaners about PinkMindys articles you always respond so I guess she has your power and certainly not the other way around I mean common sense would/should tell a person that if they don't agree then either post that disagreement with respect or shut your mouths AND for the record any of you trust ANYTHING about this administration....Each and every one of you deserves one of those bullets because you are fools not to consider the things that are coming down, not only in this country , but the entire rest of the world. Let's just say you who doubt are the one's who will be the most shocked and awed. You go PinkMindy, keep the word coming out!!!

Hello Elaine. What makes you think we are NOT considering the cancellation of the Bill of Rights? It seems to me that most here have campaigned against NDAA 2012, SOPA, PIPA and the addiction to war.

I'll agree that the opposition to war could be stronger -- there are still too many fans of "Humanitarian War", too many who have not seen the catastrophe NATO created in Libya, too many who still believe the lies and one-sided reporting used to promote these wars. There are still too many people who are waiting for government to save them, too many people who still believe the Official 9/11 Conspiracy Theory, still too many people who believe in the "Federal Reserve". But that is changing.

PinkMindy would be a LOT more effective, if she were willing to criticize globalists in general, war-makers in general -- both the D's and the R's. Her exclusive focus on Obama destroys her credibility.

Charles now that was a very respectful posting and to which most of all, I agree. BUT my main point was the name calling. Because the very people you covered in your well read posting, have no fortitude to commence an rebuttal and we with brains knows, that the minute the name calling begins the name caller is assed out, meaning they lose. (Licking the finger and marking one score for the one who doesn't stoop to that level. I do fully believe that PinkMindy is as sharp as a whip, and knows that most if not all, in both party;s are a crooked as all get out. It's just that we have a communist who's little sister is socialism, in the White house right now. So being as he is the "so called leader of the free world" and the one screwing up this country with am European model of communistic venues and socialistic values....Well that just makes him a target with the bulls eye on his back! Again, I commend you for a very respectfully laden post......Elaine

Hello Elaine A. --

Thanks for the compliment. Your comment shows that it is possible to dialogue with you and with other politically incorrect Americans.

I'm a paleoconservative: I don't live anywhere on the tiny one-dimensional "Spectrum" that so many others see as their home. I seek a return to our founding values and ideals.

The struggle against evil forces us to abandon "Left/Right" and other artificial one-dimensional divisions. When we keep ourselves divided, we keep ourselves conquered, and being conquered is a luxury we can no longer afford, because our rulers have gone amok. Hundreds of trillions of dollars of derivatives liabilities are causing a melt-down at the top of our economic pyramid, and the addiction to war and empire is dragging us down and stripping us of our freedom.

. .

I think you are using the word "communist" as a synonym for "totalitarian". I prefer the term "fascist", because our system exists to serve the corporations, not the people. Or we can call it "corporate socialism" -- the big corporations capitalize their gains and socialize their losses, while "we the people" are plundered. We see this corporate socialism:

* in the Bush/Obama bail out of Wall Street -- while Main Street is left to rot.
* in Medicare Part D -- Bush's $400,000,000 gift to the pharmaceutical giants.
* in Obama's gift to the medical insurance racketeers -- 30 million captive clients.
* in the hundreds of billions of dollars given to the merchants of death.
* in the consolidation of the masked media

The country is "screwed up" because "we the people" would rather fight one another than fight the criminals at the top of the pyramid.

I believe Pink already knows & may agree with you Charles, but Bodies of people & co.'s are mostly lead from the top,so concentrating on them is not wrong, especially with knowledge neither Party is for America or Americans.
Rights are not Privileges, all they need is to be used, though one has them, used or not.

Past time to take the steps as outlined within the Original Federal United States Constitution,Bill of Rights & Declaration of Independence to once again re declare & operabley reinstate this Countries laws as they were meant to be & as many other People's throughout the world themselves want.

Your last statement is correct, though to actually fight this fight, one needs to deal with "Them" at the base level worker & system as all these systems & people are messed up,but leaders to be called such need followers, these are more likely to be re-trainable to propriety for a proper Society.

Regardless what so called media & gov claims maybe,Militia's are fully legal,as are Committee's of Correspondence, those Americans wanting their America, please join your Chapter today.

While your neighbor may help, knowing what is the true state of your Country,& then tending to it's proper care is Your Individual responsibility, regardless of how others feel,or act.the time is Now,for you to act upon your information, incomplete is not an excuse. Preferring not to one's self,is not an excuse, this is the situation at hand:Deal with "It",or it shall deal with you. Like has nothing to do with it,& Charles is correct, small differences are no excuse not to work or speak together especially with civility.

If it can be done at all,it is much harder to remake what you had, than to keep it from being lost.

Hello O O O O --

The SPLC and the ADL have made millions of dollars by exploiting liberal fear of the independent militias. This is one of the ways in which we Americans are trained to fear our neighbors and keep ourselves divided.

My own attitude towards guns is ambivalent. For women, guns are an "equalizer", because they put the man and woman on an equal footing. For shopkeepers in a bad neighborhood, a gun may be a necessity. Who am I to judge? I rely on the police, who are heavily armed and even militarized, and the police can be corrupt , irresponsible or trigger-happy.

Instances where militias have behaved irresponsibly are harder to find. Most people do not realize that the militia movement is multi-racial. Defending freedom is the movement's purpose, and blacks can do that as well as whites. I see the militia movement as part of a larger peace and freedom movement.

I oppose violence. I oppose terror and I especially oppose war -- mega-terror, terror multiplied a million times. I also oppose violent revolution -- perhaps you have noticed my opposition to the Islamist revolutionaries in Syria. But I do recognize the right of self-defense.

I believe that guns create a false sense of security. Guns will not bring change in America. Just the opposite: Guns will retard change. The system wants people to start shooting, so that it has an excuse for bringing in the military and making war on us.

The struggle is won or lost in the hearts and minds of the populace, long before the first shot is fired. I think militias understand that. The last time I checked -- which was years ago -- militias had a large media outreach component. The guns appeared to be secondary: The main function of the militia, as I saw it, was to bring genuine patriots together and provide support for those attacked by the government.

I hope this is still the case. There is no way that people will take up arms in defense of freedom, if people are not even willing to think about freedom, or if people believe that their informed neighbor is the enemy.

To win this struggle, we in the peace and freedom movement must create viable alternatives to the prevailing system. As the system sheds its heritage, it creates opportunities for us to own that heritage. E.g., now that NDAA 2012 annuls the Bill of Rights, the Bill of Rights belongs to us. If people want rights, they must turn to us and join our movement, because they will not find rights respected elsewhere. We have our own media -- the Internet. We do NOT have our own safety net, however -- our own medical care and old-age care.

Build, build, build! The "Federal Reserve" scam ensures the demise of the current government, so there is no need for us to attack that government. What we need are institutions that can fill the void when the government collapses.
