That's right, guns in parks. LOADED guns in parks. For some reason, the NRA thinks it's a great idea to let anyone and everyone posses loaded weapons in our national parks.

Wow. Hard to believe. Gunfight at the old corral. I do have a gun and know how to use it but this seems so very stupid. TY Cory

Oh now this is bad...People will just start killing all wildlife saying they were attacking them...Gezzzzzzzzz. I do have lots of guns (Inherited) and do know how to use them, but I also know the signs of a animals wanting to attack or just being interested for a bit, they most genrally run away...

stray bullets, imagine 100's of beer-guzzling trigger happy Cheney's running around face blasting with bad shots. I go to National Parks to enjoy the natural surroundings, not to dodge stray bullets ot to watch or listen to wildlife die unnecessarily and in agony. What an ugly memory that would be when all you want to do is have a naturrific vacatgion.

I see no need for loaded guns in National Parks with so many children playing & having fun. Like most of you, I go to the parks for the quiet serenity of nature.

I posted this a while back, and so, of course, signed the petition at that time.

It is just incredible to even consider such legislation. The National Parks are havens for nature lovers, people who want to appreciate amazing surroundings and learn about flora, fauna and the forces that shaped our mountains, rivers, etc. The park rangers are wonderful guides to the beauty and understanding of the parks and they are against this ill-conceived legislation.

What can carrying loaded weapons possibly add except unnecessary risk and danger ?
