Karl Rove retreated as Code Pink Co-Founder Jodi Evans rushed towards him with handcuffs to make a citizen's arrest. It is your turn Eric Holder.

Just the fact that this sinister scumbucket and his cohorts in crime, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et all, still walk among us shows that they have evil on their side.

"He outed covert CIA agent Plame, thus treasonously destroying her anti-terrorist network! He politicized the Dept of Justice, including prosecuting Governor Don Siegel of Alabama on trumped up charges, and firing federal prosecutors who did not do the GOP pols' bidding. He was one of the prime architects of the web of lies which stampeded the nation into the Iraq invasion, which killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, created 2 million casualties, resulted in thousands of American dead and wounded, cost America $1 trillion and counting, and amounted to the most disastrous strategic error in American history. Yet he has been prosecuted for nothing. Amazingly, he has the nerve to call OTHERS cynical hypocrites".. quote from Comments on the site - I agree 100%!

Amen Roseann! I don't mind them having Evil on their side, but I object to the fact that Good men (supposedly) look on this & DO Nothing! There are LAWS that Have to be Enforced to prevent Future Crimes!

I watched this little segment on TV and was so thrilled to see that he left the seen of the crime. What a shame he hasn't disappeared out off the public radar altogether. Certainly hope the book bombs and he doesn't show in my local bookstores

Our own gang of wild west style crooks - but they did rob banks too, and the US treasury, and all the many and assorted charges that have been listed and discussed. So, like the Poop why are they all still walking around as if they are all innocent? Holder has been very clear that Obama has put on the breaks, why isn't Obama allowing Holder to do his job? Why the drill, baby drill Bull hockey? I know he's not a liberal but damn did he have to end up being a republican?

So let me get this straight. It is not okay for conservatives and Repubs to protest but it is okay for liberals? Sounds about right.

Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, oh, my ! These men are indeed traitors, but they have "friends in high places". Let's keep up the noise in any case.
Meanwhile, let's keep an eye on what happens with Code Pink & Jodi Evans.

And yes, there is a difference between making a citizen's arrest for crimes & heckling people in the safety of a mob on the basis of their race & sexual preference. One act is brave, the other is cowardly & mean-spirited.

Karl Rove is two four-letter words.

Speaks badly for America when retards like Rove and Palin can be expected to sell so many copies of their drivel that publishers advance them millions.

What really grinds me is the amount of free air time these crooks and morons get. Has our news media become crook-lovers and moron-lovers now? I figure if I want to know anything about those idiots out there, I'd watch them. But the news media follow them around like dogs and as soon as they put them on the news, I change the channel. Watch mostly MSNBC now. And even they have to plaster their mugs in our faces. There must be some genuine news they can cover. The news channels have become nothing more than gossip sites. Thanks, Yvonne, for covering this story in such a great way.

Dear Northen N., It is perfectly Right and Just for anyone to protest provided they do not use hatred and incite violence. Everyone has the right to speak their mind. When Jodi Evans went at Karl Rodent with handcuffs, she was within her rights also. Anyone can make a citizen's arrest. It's just making it stick in this system of Injustice rather than Justice that is hard to do.
Big $ (so-called) News Media, we are sick and tired of free air time for these blow-hards extolling their own ?virtues?. Start giving us news instead of fluff!

Exactly Abdessalam, there is no excuse for at least 40% of the population to be so stupid and brainwashed. People who look the other way about Rove, Cheney, Bush, et. al. are plagued with a generational psychological Syndrome called "blood lust". They like to hear that we are killing civilians and calling it "collateral damage", believing that this is what makes the US "greatest country in the world". It's good to read Rove is getting his just deserved, but unfortunately it's not enough. Rove at. all should be behind bars for two lifetimes.

i have a friend who works at a book store where there was a Karl Rove book signing. apparently the jackass showed up half and hour late, left half an hour early, actually charged people to have their picture taken with him, and demanded stuff beyond the long list of "requirements" his PR people sent. she was delighted, however, to see how few of his books actually sold. she'll get a kick out of this story.

This was good for a big, throw-back-my-head sort of laugh out loud. It took some time for me to get my breath back. And who ever said it wasn't OK for conservative and Repubs to protest? No one did. No one has ever made that claim that I'm aware of. It's the conservatives and Repubs who have the double standards. What intelligent and mature people resent is when Repubs and Tea Bags threaten others, scream at and intimidate others, and carry despicable and hateful signs that are full of outright lies. We're tired of the "Don't repeal, just reload" hooey, partly because the people who caused all these problems for us and our economy and our citizens (Bush/Cheney and the Repubs) won't stop lying about it and won't help clean up any of the messes they made for all of us. YUK!

I personally don't see much difference between this brave woman, and many of the tea party members. I think it is not only good for people to protest, but it is the duty of the citizens of any "free" republic to voice their concerns and opinions whenever and where ever they can. I reject violence and hate in any form, and if you can't find an intelligent way to protest you are only hurting your own cause. What this woman did was an honorable act and I for one applaud her, but don't think for one second that I wouldn't join the tea party members who voice their concerns about the wrong doings of the current administration. What the bush administration did was beyond immoral, but give the current administration some time. They have already attacked our intellect with lies while continuing the deconstruction of our constitutional rights that was started by the bush administration. In the mean time we blog and bicker about who is better as they both work the same agenda to gain personal power and separate themselves from we the people, gaining more control and power with every move. STOP LISTENING TO PARTY POLITICS.... THINK FOR YOURSELVES... look at yesterday... suddenly its Mr. Obama screaming drill baby drill. people are still being tortured in Guantanamo, and your taxes have already been raised... 250,000 a year or not. They all lie.

Looks like the Dems. decided to play by the Tea Partiers rule finally. If it was okay for the GOP to belittle and put down private individuals at their "Tea Parties", why can't the side of the aisle do the same. Of all people to tear into, couldn't have happened to a more perfect speciman. That Karl Rove, whose whole career was based on lies and the disemination of those lies, was the person the anti GOP bunch wnet after seems so fitting!

Of course the fat little piggy went weee weee all the way home, for just like the rest of the greedy war mongering Bush profiteers, none of them actually served in the military, and I do not count Bushies on again off again sort of no record for time spent, and Colin Powel was more of a high profile professional mushroom, kept in the dark and fed bullshit. Never has such a gang of gutless bastards been responsible for the deaths of so many both military and civilian.

What's up with this rodent getting paid to speak at UCSB and doing book signings. He should be sent to the Hague and is an arch-villain of American history tantamount to Benedict Arnold. The co-designer of the illegal Iraqi War should crawl back under the slimy rock he crawled out from. 650,000 dead according to Johns Hopkins University, and all for nothing but to fleece Americans and spend our troops like chattel.

And the real truth is that the Tea Party movement condemns any radical action done in their name. It is not the goal. It is not the point of the grassroots organization but true to the Alinisky rule when you cannot do anything with actual FACT - demonize and belittle what you are trying to defeat. The biggest blessing to the tea party movement is the truth cannot be hidden or demonized. They are against all incumbents no matter what side of the aisle they are on. They are an unorganized organization and are learning fast how to be peaceful and productive activists.

You who propagate this kind of garbage are no more than a tool in the hands of the Progressive Democrats which have only brought politics as usual to Washington and worse. There is no change to be seen there just more of the same ole same ole. Hope now lies in the hands of American people who will no longer tolerate politics as usual.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D, MO) disavows any role in spitting smear.

Friday, April 2nd at 11:16AM EDT

You know: if I was a mindless drone who had been duckspeaking for the last week on the DNC-spawned narrative of racial slurs/spittingÖ well, I probably wouldnít have the mother-wit to be offended at how clumsily this walkback by Cleaver was presented*:

So now Rep. Cleaver doesnít people talking about it; and now he wants to act like he was never involved in this issue in the first place. Canít say Iím surprised. Canít say that Iím surprised that he doesnít want to lay any blame at the feet of the DNCís would-be race-hate demagogues, eitherÖ

Moe Lane

*On the other hand, the slightly less mindless drones who encouraged said duckspeaking in others probably should feel a little pique at the way that they wasted a week on something that will be disavowed by the Democratic party anyway. At least, one hopes that they will.

PS: I cannot say this too often: GET A CAMERA. Video recording equipment in the hands of the populace kept this story contained. GET A CAMERA. A video record will be an invaluable offensive and defensive tool for your activism. GET A CAMERA. This will be true for the rest of your activist career. GET A CAMERA.

If Karl Rove ran from a group from Code Pink.... how would he have reacted if he had been arrested by a real law enforcement agency? It was not his finest hour. Come to think of it.......I cannot recall Rove ever having a "finest hour". His years and actions while in the White House were shameful.

If we had ONE cop and/or ONE prosecutor and/or ONE Attorney General in this country with a spine and with at least a basic grasp of their job description we would see HUNDREDS of these creeps (Rove, Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld, etc., etc.) arrested and tried here in the US for war crimes and terrorism, then we would hand them off to the international courts and then carry out their harshest sentence in public.

We have none of what is required (ONE cop and/or ONE prosecutor and/or ONE Attorney General in this country with a spine and with at least a basic grasp of their job description)

Not even ONE.

And I didn't even include in that the military which swears an oath to protect the Constitution.

How all those thousands and thousands of people that are paid to enforce laws can keep accepting their paychecks when they refuse to do their job boggles the mind.

I can imagine some of them being that way, but we have sunk so low that we have none.

Pitiful that the only people that want the laws enforced (both US and international since those war crimes broke US treaties and hence not only broke our Constitution but international law) are labeled a "protester"

Never grow silent folks, NEVER GROW SILENT!!!!!!!!!!!

Yah! Rove is no longer in a position to either set or influence policy. So, why is "Code Pink" not putting REAL PRESSURE on Obama to end the occupation of Iraq & stop the killing in Afghanistan? "Code Pink" seems like a do-nothing, non-entity now that they have given up the true cause! Just a bunch of publicity seekers without any substance.
