On October 7, 2011, President Obama was to render his decision about the Keystone Pipeline expansions, which he failed to provide. However, the reason behind the delay may prove more sobering than hopeful.

I have signed all that I could. I have nothing much to add to what you have already written, with which I completely agree. Can't President Obama find independent advisors and confidants? Seeking advice from allies of the oil industry renders his supposed green policy not only a theoretical, but also a farcical one. I hope he will not succumb to any pressure from this oil-stained camp and will not greenlight this tragical project. The present is tyrannized by oil, but the future must not belong to it -- and this is one of the steps that must be taken now for us to see such a future. It is now that the future is being written.

Thank you for posting! All actions already taken, or taken tonite. President Obama is a highly intelligent man - inexperienced politically, but intelligent nonetheless - he knows the score - Drilling in the Arctic ( my favorite topic to bring up) is also a catastrophe waiting to happen, and this Adminstration is seriously considering granting approval -permits to Shell for exploration have already been given. WHAT DO YOU SAY TO THIS INSANITY ANYMORE?. You said it Sylvie, "it is now the future is being written." Absolutely, thank you.

Not all of us can participate in civil protests. However, we are all able to contribute our voices. It is important to pass along the information. Post the details on your facebook and other social networks.

Encourage others to flood the White House with petitions and lend assistance in productive reasoning. Ultimately, what Canada and America next decides has an impact on the world. Therefore, all voices from every corner of the world should voice their concerns.

This is a cause worthy of fighting the good fight. The signatures on many petitions are woefully low. If you know people who are on the fence, encourage them to look to the impartial data for reasonable baseline thinking, as they are providing the data for the correct reasons. Let those who endure going to jail to stop this insanity be not without just cause.
