Naval sonar resonates as underwater bombs to marine life and is linked to the beaching of whales.

Whales: Beautiful not animals but "INDIVIDUALS"!!!
I went twice to Bar Harbor, Maine, from Rome, Italy, just to make Whale Watching!!!
The ones I saw there were Humpack Whales. My first time was more lucky: a Mother & her Baby approached the boat (they stopped at only 4 - 5 metres from us) and remained there still for 10 minutes...with their heads out of the water: they were"watching us curiously" and "commenting"… about us.... The mother was undoubtedly explaining something to her baby... It was a very touching experience....some tears were on my face. Also the Captain of the boat confessed that he never happened to attend such an event in his 30 years’ experience!!! Some years later, I went back to Bar Harbor but nothing like that happened. Whales were only very far from the boat & didn't approach...

as long as any being lives in fear, hate, exploitation and death at the hands of man so shall all men live under this same threat, don't fool yourself no one is free as long as another is oppressed. withdraw your consent for as long as we agree to the small things we have agreed to the big ones, the pebble seems so small but its effects are far reaching
protect life, prosecute those that seek to destroy our shared home and our fellow beings
life has value beyond measure

Makes me wonder how long before they adapt it to use on all the unwanted humans.

Couldn't find a petition to sign as others indicated they did. The military is always in a kill, kill kill mode and this needs to stop. They need to train, but not to hurt the innocent.

Noted. Petition signed.

'Twas a very saddening read indeed. Why would "the use of sonar be necessary in times of war"? We need no war in our human world, neither do these poor whales need our war in theirs. They die because of us; we kill them instead of protecting them (sonars, of course, are not the only threat to them), and that is a shame. This should stop, thus allowing them to live in peace and quiet they need to sing their meaningful songs and to thrive.
