Ind. Officer, Wife Could Face Jail for Saving Deer

I swear that state of Indiana is just relentless in their useless convictions, here a couple saved a fawn and now face up to 60 days in jail and 2,000.00 in fines. What a croc to put someone through that for being compassionate & doing whats right.

Helping the fawn was 100 % the right thing to do , But they really should have tried to find a wildlife rehabilitation
center that would have ensured the deers ability to either return to the wild or go to a preserve .
Simply put the law is that she [ the deer ] cannot be a pet .

Agreed that it should not have been made as a pet, the issue I am having is the jail time + fines for doing something right. Okay..fine them, but both. This is a good example why people often tend to not get involved and do whats right for these very same reasons. Thanks Lydia for commenting :-)
