We cannot stop global warming we can just reduce our impact! And that is what we will all do because we will have to! No other way to keep this planet alive! It will be a race to save the earth and we just have one or two years according to many experts!

We past the point of no return decades ago, the scientists were bullied into keeping quiet or their studies went unpublished. We have to face our extinction with determination and hope to pass on the lessons of our mistakes to the next succession of sentient species.

Sorry, but I'm not going to just lay down and die without a fight just yet :)

Yes, we may be "beyound the point of no returen" reguarding many problems, but that does not give us licence to just give up and do nothing - there are still many possible futures and we have the choise (responsibility) to create the future we want.

When those "they" people finally get around to acknowledging the problem, it's because they can no longer hide the facts. Which now leaves us overwhelmed by such daunting solutions. Though what's done, is done, it would be interesting to know how things might be different at this very point, had the "alarmists" been allowed to be heard.
