This is scary. I would have thought I would have heard about this before. Talked with someone today, about it, who had seen it online @ or something - he's a chef, not that that's necessarily related, but we were talking about fish, Tallapia. (I wondered, if it was an Atlantic or Pacific fish - it's everywhere...

And if, the holding tanks fail, or are hit from another weather turn, it's going to be extremely catastrophic, especially since they know there are also cracks.

No mistake, this is serious!

pretty stupid scribbling

"400,000 becquerels per liter" should, to start with, read: "400,000 Becquerel per liter" = (a bit less idiotic:) 400 kBq/l = 0.4 MBq/l
but there IS ways to put it even more moronically, as e.g. 400,000,000 mBq/l or 40,000,000,000 mBq/hl etc etc

to put it into perspective:
30 t * .4 MBq/kg = (iaanm) 12 GBq

Fuk.Daiichi RELEASED Cs-137 in 2011 (according to Stohl&al): 36 PBq ((( = (stupidly expressed:) 36,000,000 GBq )))
Cs-137 RELEASED from Chernobyl-IV, 1986: 85 PBq
Cs-137 INVENTORY (03/2011) of Fuk.Dai-ichi 1+2+3 reactor cores (no spent fuel) = 390 PBq
Cs-137 RELEASED by ATMOSPHERIC-only bomb-tests (more than half of them AND the dirtiest ones by U$A): 1.2 EBq (or, to use the same units as above: 1,200 PBq (but note that the 0s are, of course, not significant))

((( P = 10^15, the sequence is k(ilo) - M(ega) -G(iga) - T(era) - P(eta) - E(xa) )))
