Is the long-awaited drug industry consolidation under way? That was the question Friday as word spread that Pfizer was near a deal to buy Wyeth for more than $60 billion in cash and stock.

Hmmm I smell A rat! Bank of America and Wells Fargo take over other banks and now the biggest pharma takes over another making them even bigger. Getting closer to Atlas Shrugged everyday.

I could see them asking for a bailout Yvonne! I mean after all what would people do without their drugs? Monsanto would have no one to work with!

Without choices the buying public is the loser, and the smaller companies cannot compete without the same funds for things such a research. Will we find that the new drugs will be whatever the new management wants to push?

It's time to start messaging Obama about monopoly laws. Yes, we do still have them; they just haven't been enforced since Reagan.

If the Pharmacutical Companies would stop giving FDA and Doctors kick backs for prescribing their meds. If, they would get rid of there greedy upper management and gave the millions in bonuses to the workers who who are the ones that deserve it. If. if, if.
My response is to go the healthy way and say no to these drugs that do more damage than good. Show them who is in control of their own bodies. Any new presciptions my Doc's want to pass one to me, I say no. I always find a natural resource that I know I will not get sicker from chemically made drugs.

Kuddos to all, I smell rats all over this too. Monopoly, bail outs. Who are banks are going to give them money but they(banks) will not give a few dollars to help "BAIL OUT" the small business owner or the home owner that is losing their home?
