We, in India WELCOME Ms. Nancy Pelosi. And may she inspire and influence our "decision-makers" to shed their fears, and stand on Noble Buddhist Ideals, and also the Ideals of Mahatma Gandhi!! India IS the land of the Enlightened Buddha. His noble Ideals will always be honored and upheld by Indians.

We denounce China for their Violence on peace loving people. Tibet MUST be free from the unethical, immoral Chinese people!

I have mixed feelings about Pelosi, but it is the right thing for the US to do, stand by the Dalai Lama that is. Thx Jill!

“China’s crackdown in Tibet will not cause President Bush to cancel his planned trip to the Beijing Olympics, the White House said Thursday.”

I didn't post this article because I'm an all-out Pelosi supporter, but because she is the only representative of an important nation (or a lesser one) to make the trip to Dharamsala and show support to the Tibetan people and the Dalai Lama, at this time of great crisis. Most world leaders have accepted without any qualms the Chinese take-over of Tibet ! How can anyone anywhere claim to champion or defend human rights, when they have abandoned Tibet to the Chinese ?

I posted this article because of the support that the Tibetans in exile showed her, their cheering, their roaring - hundreds lining the road to the Dalai Lama's compound, 2 thousand awaiting her in the compound itself :
this is a people that has been forgotten by the world since 1950.
I am happy for them that Pelosi gave them something to be happy about !

No matter what she has done before or what she will or may do in the future, she is, in my book, a great lady.

She has said the things that must be said and stood by an oppressed people.
How shameful, how criminal, that her act is so rare ! If only all the world's leaders followed her example.
Bravo, Pelosi !
