What hurts me is that they speak about animals as if they were trash, "you don't want the animal just put it in the trash can" how can people think and act this way!!?

No animal is EVER disposable!!!!!!! ALL People need to have RESPECT for ALL animals---one day there has to be a bill "Animal Rights" =this has to be an official law and I pray it will be one day before I leave this world.~~

Animals are here on our earth for a reason. It's not to hurt, kill, or what ever insane stuff some people think of. Why do the human race think that all animals are our slaves? Most who do these bad things to animals have a SCREW FOR A BRAIN. Animal Rights are not made up for people to harm animals but to save them. If you ever want to help then tell anyone who is a policeman or animals care taker that animals are being hurt and show and tell them Who, Where, When! Damn I hate the people who hurt ANIMALS!!! I always try to get out of reading these articles about animal abuse and then I do and become sick and start to cry. It's so terrible! How can humans be so uncaring and without emotions!! Where is the compassion for living things?

“Animals are God's creatures, not human property, nor utilities, nor resources, nor commodities, but precious beings in God's sight…Christians whose eyes are fixed on the awfulness of crucifixion are in a special position to understand the awfulness of innocent suffering. The Cross of Christ is God's absolute identification with the weak, the powerless, and the vulnerable, but most of all with unprotected, undefended, innocent suffering.”— Reverend Andrew Linzey

“May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their pain. May those frightened cease to be afraid, and may those bound be free. May the powerless find power, and may people befriend all life. May those of all species who find themselves lost, the young, the aged, the unprotected, be guarded by beneficent celestials, and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.”—Buddhist Prayer for Peace

There is nothing to celebrate or get "all excited about" here. Just another welfarist, "humane killing" non-victory for animals! When some animal killing industry gets banned, then I will consider that a victory, but even then we have to be careful how the campaign is worded and presented, since single-issue campaigns can imply that other forms of animal killing are acceptable.

For ages we have been trying to tell the worthless lazy law makers that animal rights mean human rights. Animal abuse and cruelty cases (really sick things people are doing to animals these days) is catching up with the humans. STATS show that 2300 people go missing EVERYDAY in the United States most never to be heard from again. What do any of you think is happening to them?
Reports of missing persons have increased sixfold in the past 25 years, from roughly 150,000 in 1980 to about 900,000 this year. The increase was driven in part by the country's growing population. But the numbers also indicate that law enforcement treats the cases more seriously now, including those of marginalized citizens.

An astounding 2,300 Americans are reported missing every day, including both adults and children.

Reminder that one of our own went missing May 25th :(
DENVER, – Kim Remmel is missing from the Denver area. She was last heard from on May 25th. Kim is 47 years old, less than 5′ 3″.

She is believed to have left the area in her vehicle, and be in possession of her laptop computer. Her vehicle is described as a LIGHT color Mazda pickup with BLACK TRIM, late 80’s/early 90’s model with an old-style (not fiberglass) canopy. The “Mazda” letters may be removed from the tailgate and replaced with “TaDa” or “NaDa.” Plate number 155XYX.

If anyone has heard from her or knows her whereabouts, please contact the ARVADA Police Department at 720-898-6900, case # 2012-7669

I live in Pennsylvania. If we end the gas chambers, we can fight to become no-kill, too.
