Bees are dying across the world at a terrifying rate. The apian epidemic started in the United States, where entire populations of honey bees have simply vanished in the phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder (CCD).

Some more info:
url: http://www.greensmiths.com/bees.htm

The insects most beneficial to humans & OTHER animals are found in the large insect order Hymenoptera. Not only are the bees and many of their relatives pollinators of flowering plants, including fruits and vegetables...

Something mysterious is killing honey bees, and even as billions are dropping dead across North America, researchers are scrambling to find answers and save one of the most important crop pollinators on Earth.

Bees are, in fact, the most important pollinating insects, and their interdependence with plants makes them an excellent example of the type of symbiosis known as mutualism, an association between unlike organisms that is beneficial to both parties.

Thank you Victoria.......we need to keep up on this and see what we can find out from all published articles, maybe someone who sees patterns others miss will give a clue to the cause, personally I think it falls in the KISS category, and they are looking for a solution that does not offend the perpetrator.....KEEP IT SIMPLE IT IS MONSANTO AND POLLUTION........

yeah Monsanto. And Deborah Garcia has a GREAT tape on them and Bush et al. I talked to Deborah (yes, was married to Jerry) when she was just getting it off the ground and now you can buy it at Whole Foods.

I'll post it at some point...or you can.

Oh please do post it, I have heard of her work but do not have the link.........I wish C2 had a link to video posts only, but if you search Monsanto and Vandana Shiva as well as Percy Schiemser (I always muck up his name) you should find some really interesting videos in past posts. I would also like to do something I never thought I would do, but do have your children watch BEE MOVIE although not totally on purpose they have made a timely film that can open up dialogue with kids about the real problem , I hope it is a big hit with Monsanto executive's children, doubt they show it at the company picnic.

At a guess - I would be looking at what damage some of our modern day techology might be doing to the bees - mobile phones - cell phone masks - and WiFi technology. Bees (like birds) rely on the MAGNETIC FIELD. Could our technology be causing interference to them ????

The other possibility (but only guess work) is the current earth changes - solar.
Many changes are coming upon the earth - as we head towards 2011-2012 (now acknowledged by NASA) in connection to the SUN and SOLAR FLARES and the damage it could cause. Could these changes be affecting the bees ????

From the research that I've done, it looks like the bees are succumbing to just one assault too many, in the form of mites, pollution, viruses, pesticides, the disruption of normal seasonal weather (e.g., snow in Saudi Arabia!), and they can't take it any more, now they're dying rapidly en masse.

Litha, Yeah LOL I doubt they show that at company picnics. I'll post her site, etc today so ck my Page and Note IT and Comment (which are always fun to read) and then Pass It On!

And I wish there were VISABLE streams of purple (or whatever) light coming from the Satelites to cell phones and wireless electronics. Birds are also showing cancers here in Marin Parks!!!!!!!! ahhh

It's people (human-animals) doing it. Need to look inside not outside. Are you only buying Organic? If not, why eating and shoving pesticides (and corpses) down your children's throat!

Adopt children. Stop cloning yourself for your ego. We need to stop multiplying. That's the problem.

Earth loses its magnetism

Scientists have known for some time that the Earth's magnetic field is fading.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3359555.stm

BEES AND BIRDS RELY ON THE `MAGNETIC FIELD` - now if its fading, as Scientists claim, then do the maths as to why the bees are disappearing.

Earth's Inconstant
Magnetic Field

Our planet's magnetic field is in a constant state of change, say researchers who are beginning to understand how it behaves and why.

Earth's magnetic field is changing in other ways, too: Compass needles in Africa, for instance, are drifting about 1 degree per decade. And globally the magnetic field has weakened 10% since the 19th century. When this was mentioned by researchers at a recent meeting of the American Geophysical Union, many newspapers carried the story. A typical headline: "Is Earth's magnetic field collapsing?"

Probably not. As remarkable as these changes sound, "they're mild compared to what Earth's magnetic field has done in the past," says University of California professor Gary Glatzmaier.

Sometimes the field completely flips. The north and the south poles swap places. Such reversals, recorded in the magnetism of ancient rocks, are unpredictable. They come at irregular intervals averaging about 300,000 years; the last one was 780,000 years ago. Are we overdue for another? No one knows.

One thing many are NOT realising are the vast changes the earth is going through - NATURAL changes which have all happened in the past.

We`ve just entered Solar Cycle 24 (for instance) and this will peak in 2011 - 2012 (and that`s NASA`s dating by the way) As we know however, 2012 also bears great significance because of the Mayan`s calender.

Thanks ^,^~

I am in totally agreement w/Samantha, the link did not work for me, however this definately needs to be addressed more closer as this phenonmeon with the bees has been happening for quite awhile back.. Thank you (Wado) Victoria for posting new sites to go to, just saw those, cool..will try those out..We need to pay more attention to our surroundings and nature and to what its telling us on Gaia (Mother Earth)....she is obviously upset by all the natural disaters that are occuring upon this planet...Many blessings of love & light to all...and keep your eyes open..will note and pass on, important issue Victoria.."E me nv" (Amen).."Dohiyi"..(Peace) to all...

Since all vegitation and animal life now contains PCB's that bio accumilate there likely is a link as there is with ocean mamuals. Whales, seals, polor bears are highly toxic with PCB's because they are high on the food chain. Bees by visiting so many plants are likely soaking up high PCB levels. PCB's alter DNA, cause learning disorders, cancer, and were dumped on the planet by non caring greedy corporations. They very well could spell our doom as every baby born has had his DNA alterd and when brest fed takes on a load from its mother.

Litha (and everyone else ;-) ) I posted Deb's website yesterday. Check the Title

The Future of Food.

Bette --- AMEN! or should it be AWOMEN! lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And on either TLC (The Learning Channel), Discovery or Animal Planet (can't recall which) they were showing how the Bees have all died in most of Asia -- and now the country people make a "pollen fomula" and climb trees dabbing them on the Cherry Blossoms!!!!!!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also see post or just go to site Our Daily Bread. Their website doesn't do their Documentary justice. And credit the Sundance cable Channel for having the guts & wherewithal to Show It. *** Stars to Them.
