This is more evidence of the social damage caused by the mining for minerals in the Congo.

With all these (dubious) companies having Headquarters in London because of tax breaks etc it makes one feel we (UK) responsible, thank you Gordon Brown and now George Osborne, NOT!

Humans do the most vile things. I wish we all would be urged to never cause harm to any part of this planet or to any form of sentient life.

I don't know why anyone would be shocked by this. If it makes someone a profit, it matters not how it is come by or who, or what is harmed in the process. The owners aren't actually down there watching those kids, or the hell they are creating for them, they're too busy with their meetings and counting their money to pay attention to details like the environment or the safety of their employees, let alone notice if some of them aren't big enough to ride all the rides at Disney world yet. It does seem though that even in a world approaching 7 billion people, we have more than our fair share of outright lunatics running far too many things. How do such people sleep at night? Or look at their own little darlings and think, damn, I could have them working in the mine too. Icky people whose only real function is to show the rest of us how NOT to be...
