As I wrote in another India related story, the country is becoming an immoral wasteland.

The situation in India is what occurs when abuse is allowed to be committed and no one bothers to react against it.The abusers, over time, then assume that what they are doing is accepted in their Society, thereby leading to more abuse being committed. This is exactly what happened in the UK, by the BBC and the other authorities which should have been safeguarding the children in their care. Saville knew what he was doing was wrong, but he was allowed to continue his abuse unchecked, thereby giving him encouragement, if any was needed, to commit more acts of abuse. He was in control, all due to the lack of responsibility of mainly the BBC and the other organisations. I do not like the phrase, but I hope lessons have been learnt in both the UK and India.

This is ingrained in the culture and religious beliefs -woman are not the equal of -men and are not valued or respected -how can you change these beliefs -women themselves have to -change.

Signed. (at least some parts of it:) India has been an "immoral wasteland" for decades; do know male persons to whom some "fathers" tried to sell their daughters for: 300 - 400 dollars in India :-(((((

note: saying this without being anykind of "expert" on this.

Petition signed. I wish we could put an end to it everywhere. These sick minded idiots need to be locked up forever with the keys thrown away. Especially the ones who are in gangs and have their friends watching or even contributing to this awful sin. Thanks Rose

Now is the time to make a huge awareness about this around the World and it is happening. This change can only happen if people speak up and help make a difference. I am not saying this like it is going to be easy. Hell no! For what has been going on forever, has been making the news worldwide a lot lately and this is why I think it is going to start changing. What I can do is continue to make awareness of this. I personally did not know how severe this was until I got on Care2 actively last year. And reading that people were even selling there kids for food... NO Child should EVER have to suffer damn it!!!

Without question, I am against child abuse, wherever it occurs.
However, we must make a conscious effort to eliminate it closer to home.

When we see it, repeatedly, we must speak up. Children have very little influence on their upbringing.
If we have to report it anonymously, fine, but do it.

Petition signed. The rich in India became rich using child labour and exploiting the poor. This seems to happen all around the glbe.
