When Sister Lucy Kurien founded Maher, a home for women fleeing domestic violence outside Pune, India, she didn't realize how many children they would bring with them. Today, Maher is home to hundreds of children. Courtesy of Maher

Blessing on the lives of all of these women. What a brave, brave woman Sister Lucy is. Would any of us have been so brave to help the woman who had been doused with gasoline? We would like to think so. Hope so. Noted.

Sister Lucy's message about respect for all people is an important one. Hopefully this lesson will translate to the men and boys of her community, and those of all areas. It's never right to hit anyone except in true self-defense, male or female. This is where peace begins. Noted and thanks.
