I used to work there. They lied about torturing rabbits for cosmetics testing. They'll need a lot of pressure.

Women, who use Revlon products, should be outraged by its behavior. On the one hand it gives the impression that it is actually fighting Breast Cancer. On the other hand it knows that there are ingredients, in its products, that actually cause cancer. Please read the list of ingredients below and sign the petition.

A survey of Revlon products sold in stores found cancer-causing and hormone-disrupting chemicals:

Butylated compounds (BHA, BHT) Found in hair dyes and lip gloss; linked to cancer
Quaternium-15 and other formaldehyde-releasing chemicals Found in mascaras, pressed powders and eyeliner; linked to cancer
Parabens Found in eyeliners and hair dyes; an endocrine disruptor linked to cancer
Octinoxate Found in foundation makeup; an endocrine disruptor linked to thyroid disorders
Resorcinol Found in hair dye; an endocrine disruptor and allergen
p-Phenylenediamine Found in hair dye; a respiratory toxicant
Carbon black Found in eyeliners; linked to cancer

The groups are demanding that Revlon:

Develop a comprehensive “safe cosmetics policy” to protect women from chemicals linked to cancer and other adverse health effects.
Support federal cosmetics safety legislation.
Share the Revlon product safety policy publicly on the company’s website.

How do these companies get past the FDA? Don't they screen any of these products for cancer causing ingredients??? Why not? That is what the FDA is for, isn't it? Terrible management by the FDA. That is the Food and Drug Admin, isn't it?? I thought they inspected stuff like this.
I am amazed that carcinogens are allowed in cosmetics. I knew there was a reason I absolutely don't wear makeup. But this crap is in hair products, also! And my hair is down to my calves of my legs! There is a lot of hair products going on my hair! Jeezus pete! Have to go thru all the stuff I put on my hair and look it up, ASAP!!!
Thanks for the heads up on this one! It is eternally useful for me! Thanks so much, Robert!

Because the FDA and other agencies that were suppose to protect us are not doing so. They all have sold out or have been so underfunded with the cutbacks that the Republicans have asked for and the Democrats have too willingly gone along with. We do not have protections anymore is why the masses must rise up and start to be demanding that the Corporations, the Governmental Agencies, all do better by us. We are dying and few seem to understand and worse don't care when they do understand. Too few like Sue H. is doing what needs to be done.

I will pass this to my wife although she wears very little make-up and I think tries very hard to make sure its not animal tested.

Thanks for telling Revlon that if it really cares about women’s health, it needs to stop selling products that have cancer-causing chemicals!

Agreed with Dandelion G. (The site doesn't seem to have a petition though, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Noted it though!) They lost my trust ages ago when they claimed to be cruelty-free when they weren't.
