Here is a little more to the story:
In case you missed it in the news, last week a group of men entered a Fort Worth Jack in the Box toting semi-automatic rifles.

They called themselves "good guys with guns," but all they did was terrify customers and send employees running to hide in the freezer, fearing they were about to be robbed -- or worse.

Jack in the Box has a policy prohibiting guns in its corporate-owned stores, including the one where this incident happened -- but they obviously aren't enforcing it.
Imagine if someone you know and love was behind the counter at Jack in the Box -- or another restaurant or store.

What would you tell them to do if a group of men walked in with semi-automatic rifles strapped to their backs? Just trust that they were "good guys with guns"?

The sad reality is that Texas gun laws are so lax that people can openly carry loaded rifles in public with absolutely no training, permitting or minimum age requirement.

And thanks to the private sale loophole, it's easy to buy a gun without a background check. That means that dangerous criminals can easily get their hands on rifles and openly carry them in public -- and no one, including the police, has any way to tell the difference between good guys with guns and bad guys with guns.

In the absence of strong laws, the responsibility to keep employees and patrons safe falls to a company’s leaders. Jack in the Box should stand by their policy and vocally enforce it RIGHT NOW.

I would not buy the fake food in one of these places, but that does not change that until something really bad happens, I don't believe any thing is going to be done. The politicians cozy up to right wing people by pretending to supportive of free and open gun laws, in fact they are the same laws, just not enforced. Good guys with guns are the police and the police have no need to walk into any place brandishing a gun. Even in Texas we have laws about brandishing a gun. When the inevitable tragedy strikes, I hope of these so called good guys is the one hit by the stray bullet and not some innocents.

Every week since the beginning of this year we have at least one child killed by guns left laying around. The irresponsible actions of people like these "good guys" are in no small part indicative of this attitude of doing whatever one feels like with a gun.

Thanks Bob, ---

Thank you for signing! I hope everyone is enjoying living back in the Wild West again. Botched execution in the State of Oklahoma it's only a matter of time we are stringing them over trees again. Some people's ideas of taking back their Country means going to those days.

Oh I also placed a story on that one Representative wants to go back to people being torn apart by lions.
I don't care if they are fed to lions

According to me the real problem in the USA is that you can buy arms EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Strange that they are not sold in the supermarkets and groceries...........

Too many of these gun toting guys correlate the size and strength of their firearms with power, intelligence, patriotism, etc. All it tells me is that they're lacking in brains and probably in size down yonder.

I understand Dan, we must be careful not to pain everyone in a certain State as all wanting the same thing or all being the same way. I live in Florida with the Stand Your Ground Law, doesn't mean I voted for it nor wanted it, we are not all the exact same because we live in a certain area or State.

I will say though that the people who do not want these things need to start becoming more involved with their Communities, for if they are not they get the ones who have no problem passing their agendas, whacked out or off the charts it may be. You don't speak up or out you get what you get. Pay attention and stand up to the policies you don't want, vote in Candidates that support your views better.

Signed. There is no reason for them to have brought guns into the restaurant. Did they think the hamburgers or fries were planning to attack? Wait watch out for the dessert, it is sneaky!! Coming into the store armed as if it is under attack is not necessary. Assault weapons could have been left in the truck/car and if they felt threatened, hand guns could have been an option. I know I would have walked out if I were presented with this force, no matter how friendly the gun owners.

They want us scared and to stay inside our homes. If we don't connect, it's harder for us to do anything about the madness. Be scared everyone, hide, don't protest, don't have real human interactions, be good little consumer-bots. Play your vidya-games and post your frustrated comments on YouTube if you want to feel like you're connecting with the real world somehow. It's easier this way for us to take over! We don't want to LOOK at you while we destroy you and the planet. :P

Signed, noted, saddened that this is the way it's going. Hope people stand up and fight this before it's too late. Too many innocent people have died already. :(

Oh and when I say they, I don't mean this group of yahoos. I mean the NRA and the big money evil that are all in cahoots to get guns into the hands of as many people as possible. No matter their level of sanity. (In case that wasn't clear)

well, maybe because cops with guns get free donuts, they expected free lunch too? Don't forget to order your burger "fully loaded".
they could have just shot out the drive in window and saved time.
"Look Mom it's me and my gun buddies all over the internet" ....morons
if this band of rednecks wandered into a bank with their little peashooters they wouldn't be walking out alive. Well, maybe the banks in Texas are going to be gun friendly too in the future?

Glad to sign. Noted. Many thanks for posting, Robert.
Does this law disallow businesses from posting a sign: "No Guns Allowed On These Premises"? When that law passed here in AZ, allowing guns "nearly everywhere," some businesses put up similar signs. These signs are especially welcome outside bars and restaurants serving liquor.....

The fanatics shown on the poster with their weapons at the Jack in the Box in the state of Texlost are sick pups. Would you want your future determined by these idiots? We, the American people deserve better, not the lunacy and insecurity these morons bring to society as a whole. The Jack in the Box employee posing in the picture with them should be fired immediately. GOOD BYE. The "good guys with guns don't exist." Fear cannot be used to live on a day to day basis in this country which is what these jackasses portray in this poster.

"...until something really bad happens." Well, Tucson and Sandy Hook happened and nothing got done. Small steps, though -e.g., Tacoma, WA city council voted in favor of requiring background checks at gun shows now (a horrible loophole in need of closure - rest of the state will vote on this in Nov. - please support I-594). Still, this Wild West mentality is disturbing.

I am constantly baffled at this American attitude about guns. These jerks would be among those all indignant if they tried to cross the border into Canada and had them confiscated, as happened to several people just last week.

Look at these cretins; the number of bullets in their clips are bigger than their IQs. Little 'men' with little dicks trying to be big boys. I'm surprised their moms let them out of their yards.

Trying to sign petition now. They did that for shock value and nothing more. In this day and time, that had to be a terrifying experience for employees and customers alike. Stupid bastards.
