Tweets by celebrities..

Aamir Khan I am most disappointed with this judgement. It feels very intolerant and violative of basic human rights. Its a shame.

John Abraham India has harboured archaic prejudices once again... The Supreme Court has criminalized homosexuality... Shame

Farhan Akthar The Supreme Court got it wrong today.

Amitabh Bachchan T 1320 -High Court in 2009 gave pro judgement on homosexuality. All rejoiced came out got known. Now they fear being identified as criminals

Question : How will the law authorities decide or apprehend those that commit this 'crime' !!??

Some very strong views and emotions being expressed on media platforms about this latest Supreme Court judgement !!

Siddharth Canceled trip to India. My wife and I would not feel welcome there.

We are calling our citizens criminals for doing something that is their fundamental birth right to do & is natural. Mera Bharat kahaan? Sad.

Face it. Whoever comes to power, the people will always be powerless. Some of us, all of us…the species most at risk is us.

My dear friends from the LGBT community, the next time anybody speaks to you about how great India is, take a selfie of you slapping them.

India is a bigot nation. I pray that every person who tries to deny another person their rights gets IBS. Bigots beware. Hex hex hex!

Homophobes need to stop trying to run everyone else's private business, get out of people's bedrooms and lives and stop trying to push their views, morals, ethics, religion and whatever else they want to ram down everyone else's throats. didn't Ghandi promote acceptance? and isn't he from india? wonder how he would feel about having all his hard work totally unacknowleged by his own country men and women. it's a natural tendency for some people. what's wrong w/sharing physical intimacy between consenting adults that harms none! would they rather see them killing each other???????????????? it's evil to prevent something that spreads goodness.

No, the SC is wrong! God loves all people
I am straight but feel no hatred or animosity against my brothers & sister all over the world who are gay, lesbian, bi or transgendered or multi sexual.
Since God loves all, who are we not to love all?

Noted, voted no. India has a big problem with rape and violence against women, as do most other countries of the world, including the United States. It seems to me that its resources would be infinitely better spent if they were more devoted to helping solve those problems instead of making up barbaric laws like criminalizing homosexuality.

Proudly voted NO! Everything is now becoming illegal, immoral or unchristian. There are days I feel I'm trapped in the twilight zone. Thought all our protests and sacrifices from the 1960's had made a change for the better, no! More like we are back in the 1860's. corrupt politicians, gun lovers everywhere, women's rights being diluted or taken away, the rich vs. poor disparity, the robber barons now called Wall Street and the gangsta/banksters. Sad on so many levels.

I find this question stupid and asked by someone who ought to know better. Because of questions of this insensitive nature, it only fires up the stupidity of those who think gays are choosing that lifestyle on purpose, not because they are born that way--something the uninformed still apparently doesn't believe. I also wish the "straights" would get off the backs of the LGBT community and concentrate more on homosexuality not being a chosen lifestyle and why. That would do more good than ridiculous questions like the one posed in the title of this article.
