A powerful rap song by mild-mannered Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, from Natural News. This music video exposes the truth behind psychiatric drugs and the effect of pill-pushing on children.

"Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors' or SSRI' 'antidepressants', a scientific sounding term that is all hypothesis and theory, have never been proven in any scientific or medical test or brain scan or imaging or any other way, that any 'chemical imbalance'. of serotonin level in the brain is responsible for any psychiatric 'mental disorder' whatsoever.

At least 20 million children in the U.S. alone are given psychiatric drugs. Many times multiple drugs, 9, 11 a day, and starting as young as 3 yrs. old. Psychiatry wants to start drugging preemies now too (premature babies).

Thanks for a great post Kenneth! Just the idea of fiving drugs to children is scary! Poor children

Amazing that the discussion on chlidhood obesity NEVER mentions the effects of these drugs. Probably because the antiobesity campaign itself is sponsored by pharma who also wants to sell kids weight loss drugs, but doesn't want to admit they are partly responsible for causing them to gain weight in the first place!

Thanks Dotti, you know when I first saw it I couldn't believe it was mild-mannered Mike Adams, the nice laid-back guy who interviews people on Natural News. It's like Clark Kent becomes Superman lol!

Thanks Kenneth. Love the "Drug Free - School Zone signs". About 15 years ago I was a substitute health aid for several area school districts--elementary, middle, and high schools. I couldn't believe how many of the students were on drugs. Only the guidance counselors, principle, or vice principal could administer them but there was paperwork on file that I had access to and mostly the drug administered was Ridlin. Years later I started going to a chiropractor regularly and met a women there who said her son had been on Ridlin, but she heard that chiropracty could help her son without drugs. After the boy started getting adjustments he greatly improved and only went back occasionally for "maintenance" ..and was truly drug free.

Thanks Kenneth, and, by the way Sherry, every time I write a petition about weight loss, I mention the effects of psychotropic drugs on weight (and the petition goes nowhere). Here's one:

Weight gain is almost a sure thing with psychotropic drugs - people who've never had a weight issue before will gain as much as 40 lbs in 3 months - pounds that are very hard to lose. Antipsychotics are known to cause diabetes -- when I mentioned this once to someone suggesting to me that a loved one take these drugs, the response was "so what, they could be hit by a bus any day."

Never never do most people in this system suggest alternatives, and they treat orthomolecular as if it is a four-letter word. I was told by a reputable source that one doc at UNC-CH (where I attended grad school) made a point to make sure orthomolecular (which is just a nutritional approach to healing) never got any credibility in this state.

Every part of the system is a part of this conspiracy - and it is a conspiracy - to profit the pharmaceutical industry at any and all human cost. -- not just human either -- a woman I met last year told me she gives her cat Prozac because he misses the litter box.

Makes me wonder how the human race survived and continue to have healthy babies, children
through the centuries without these so-called wonder drugs for the brain and behaviors.

The FDA, populated with bushy appointments with connections to the drug, big pharma cartels, are pushing
"wonder drugs" unto babies and children in order to get them hooked on medications. The plan is long term
reliance on "wonder drugs" for the rest of their adult lives. The PLAN: profits on the bottom line at the expense
of people. After all, people are just people and they are easily expendable.

Ty, Kenneth.

How about children need parents, need boundaries, need love and support along with discipline (which does mean hitting them). What children do not need is drugs. Should a child or an adult need a psycho-tropic drug, they should be hospitalized, treated daily with talk therapy along with mild doses of drugs. The talk therapy must then continue after the hospitalization. Of course, these situations are rare. Far easier to write a script, shut-up the whining parent, and make zombies and future addicts of the children. Want to have a child? It's a life long commitment, the duties of a parent do not end, with dinner or breakfast and saying, "do your homework" it's the task of a lifetime. Constant monitoring, constant follow-up, setting limits and follow-up, then more follow-up.

Kit, lol, I think you meant to say ..."discipline...(which does NOT mean hitting them)"

I'm terrible at editing, worse with these tiny boxes to read. Right Kenneth, I do NOT accept that hitting or hurting children is a solution to any thing more then a temporary relief of a parents anger of the moment. Teach rules that are age appropriate, and follow up, explain why, take time, talk the to them.

Bang on Kit. Thanks for the post Kenneth. What a sad legacy our society is leaving to our childeren and grandchildren. Training is required for so many things we do like driving a vehicle or operating a piece of machinery. Too bad child- rearing skills are not considered equally important.

Blessings to you as always in bringing this to light. There have been so many travesties done to so many innocent people over decades in the name of psychiatry. It's time we realized that we still have no clue how to treat certain behaviors. But, to think we need to start drugging children before they even begin to develop is probably the worst travesty yet, short of torturing or killing them.

I agree that "home" is not the nurturing, disciplining "school of life" that it once was. In reality these days, too many homes are filled with anger, cursing, pregnant teens, parents looking for mates, and lonely unsupervised kids. No wonder drugs are an answer to all of the lost relationships. I do not propose that drugs are the answer. I'm defiantly opposed to this alternative to understanding, teaching, family, discussion. It's appalling, dangerous and creates addiction in children.
Signed your petition in March Susan.
Thanx Kenneth.
I saw this beginning when my daughter was starting school 25 years ago. The teachers and administration did not want parents involved...Only so-called professionals. It was weird and nauseating. Does not help with the drug diagnosis situation. Schools should build relationships with families, not just children. Seems the families are involved only when problems arise.

Amazing that we rush to drug children, before making sure they are properly nourished... by good food, fresh air, clean water and contact with Nature. And that drugs are considered normal... I don't think any of those kids are suffering from an SSRI deficiency, but I'll be a hundred bucks that at least half of them are short on magnesium, zinc and/or omega fatty acids, esp. Omega 3.
Good of you to keep this in our awareness Kenneth. Thanks.

I am firm believer that Art, Music, fiction and film are the greatest mediums we have in bringing attention to issues and changing the consciousness of cultures because it has the power to reach the masses in a way that can be both accepted and understood consciously and unconsciously ! We can easily look back o history to see this is true. Keep them coming rappers ! Thank you Kenneth.

Agreed Robyn, I had to laugh (sic) in the video where it says 'Comin home, comin home from the drug-free zone'
What an oxymoron, 'don't take illegal street drugs like cocaine, speed, etc." but here take THESE drugs like 'ritalin (same class as cocaine), Paxil, Adderall, Luvox, Lexapro, Effexor, Cymbalta, on and on and on and on.....

The human race, which I am sadly part of, is disgusting! Drugging our babies & children, appalling!! We are a drug-dependent society. If someone doesn't fall into our idea of "normal", or isn't submissive enough, label them & force drugs into them to control them! Our ancestors would be jumping out of their graves, forget rolling in their graves! Let kids be kids! If anything is a problem, it's us, NOT our kids! Whatever happened to that notion that all children learn, grow & develop at THEIR own, unique pace. Not what we want or expect. People need to take one pill, a "chill pill". Slow down, enjoy the ups & downs of life, live every moment of everyday like it could be your last, get "high" on life, not drugs!

Let's not forget the very recent media reports that places YET ANOTHER 6 million American youth alone under the label of 'Intermittent Explosive Disorder'. Imagine 6 million new psychiatric patients, happy days for Psychiatry and Big Pharma! The money shall roll in, and it will encompass Canada, the U.K., Australia, and so on. The 'disorder' has 'no known cause'. Surprise. Psychiatrists want to 'treat it early'. Surprise Let me guess, they will be 'screened' at high school for this 'disorder'.
Any teen that has 3 or more 'episodes' of 'uncontrollable' rage (and that's pure opinion right there), smashing things etc. in a year, will be 'proof' of the disorder. Proof? No proof. And why 3? Only heaven and hell know. Purely arbitrary. Not 4, or 2, but 3. For no scientific reason whatsoever.

Found here for example, but there are many media sources of your choice regarding it:

Wow! That's about all I have left to say. How many times in our "adult" lives have any of us ever punched something, or otherwise got "mad" at something, that may have led us to "explosive behavior"?? Does that mean all, or most all, of us should also be on some useless drugs as well?? I believe that "behavior" is also known as emotions, or feelings. Maybe those who scream "disorder", are the very ones with a disorder!! Who's to say what's right, & who's to say what's wrong. Happy 4th to all!

Too many kids are needlessly put on these pills and have a lifelong dependency from one level to another hooked by American pharmaceutical corporations.
Many so called parents even encourage this to get disability payments for the kids coming into the house hold budget.

Thanks for this Kenneth - as I can't send green stars to those who deserve them - I would suggest also looking at Dr Mercola's website as he has stats on how many of BigPharma have (insofar as we the public know) been found guilty of lying and all sorts of hideousness to promote their drugs - and that the drugs trials are themselves often misrepresented. It also gives the number of people who have DIED as a result of the medication - truely awful and WHY I wonder aren't these people's relatives on their feet and shouting about it???!

Diet and parental care, and having friends help a lot in adjusting children's behaviour - does anyone remember the recent study on children here in the UK that found that many problems that children had went away when they were allowed to play outside in the woods and fields.... really amazing study.

Parents really need to understand their rights and responsibility around the medical treatment before allowing these medications to be pushed on your child.

Too many of us are trying to avoid the hard part of parenting with these medications giving you a false sense of security. Granted a few children will need the medication. We have an epidemic with a larger percentage who do not need the drugs.
