If you're on Facebook, please join this group and support Sasha:

We just created her petition last night and we need to exceed (not just reach) the signature goal of 1,000 BEFORE June 10th so we can show the court the amount of support Sasha has and how outrageous and cruel they are to order to kill this wonderful dog who never ever had any altercations. They should concentrate on the real perps instead of killing this innocent dog and traumatizing a young mother and her children!! >:{

I would be devastated if someone told me I had to have my dogs killed just because they might be a Chow Chow. This is just horrible. Petition signed. Good luck to Sasha and her human lady. I will pray that Sasha will be able to stay home to live a happy life with her humans. Thank you Nadia.

Signed and sent on to family and friends in Windsor! I live in Windsor too and hate to see an innocent animal put to death. If the city does decide to enforce this law (which they have in the recent past) I hope there is a friend or family member in the county who will take Sasha in!

Signed and these are my comments:
This law is a disgrace. The USA is turning into a Salem witch hunt, into a McCarthy witch hunt - and this time the animals are targeted. Don't you people have anything better to do, like fighting real crime?

Not only is the pitbull ban a disgrace and an affront to God, but hounding a family with the intent to murder their pet, who has never harmed anyone is reprehensible.

Sasha doesn't look like a pitbull at all. And even if she did, so what?? Did she do anything wrong?? NO!!

In my country, the Netherlands, we recently lifted ALL previous bans on pit bulls and pitbull look a likes. They have the same status/rights as every other dog now. Thats the way it should be. I guess pitbulls are not more "dangerous" in Europe than in Canada, so if we can do it, why not Canada too?? More safe to walk the streets here anyway....

As I stated in another thread on this issue, ALL dogs should be muzzled when they leave the confines of their four walls, then there would be no dog attacks on people or other people's pets - or any other animal for that matter. If you love your dog, protect it from it's self while anywhere out of doors. A dog that is muzzled, cannot bite.

signed sealed and absolutely horrified ! It's humanistic bred fascism....and it's being applied to an innocent life.... what if it was a child that appeared to look like a serial killer...unlikely yes but as ridiculous a concept. Dogs aren't dangerous, it's those who are responsible (or not very responsible) for them that are....

We should not judge by race, religion, gender or sexual preference.
We should judge by attitude and this dog is certainly NOT a pitbull.
Ban the DEED and not the breed.

Here you will see many images of pitbulls and I think the City Officials should consult an eye specialist immediately, because something terrible is wrong with their eyes.

See link:

I truly hope this judge did not forget that he should speak out in righteousness and is not blinded in untruths.
Noted with thanks Eureka and Nadia

Noted and petition signed. It is a shame that in the name of public safety completely harmless pets and their owners are pursued, all the more so by people who are not specialists...

thanks for your info, Anja, and Bravo the Netherlands for coming to reason and lifting their ban!

Breed specific legislation is unjust and unfair !! We would not tolerate for people so why do we tolerate it for animals--as if animals dont have enough problems--people exploit their power over animals in so many ways that I am ashamed to be part of the human race---Humans are the king of predators in the fact that they are not caretakers for the most part of those weaker such as animals but exploit, consume and brutalize the weaker and most vulnerable !!! We are in a dark age of consciousness to not be aware of the connectedness of all life !!!

I saw a programme tonight (UK 3/6/2009) where a Pit Bull had been left to look after her puppies in a flat, the authorities were called as neighbours were concerned about the dogs, a litter of around 6 I think, tiny little things. Anyway they were taken to the Vets, cleaned up, checked over and their breed was confirmed...they were all put down; puppies and mother because of a law created due to human greed, they had been bred to be fighting dogs, but abandoned at a young age, mother and puppies weren't given a chance. Who defends these animals, when will this change, not just for Pit Bulls but dogs that 'may be' Pit Bulls ?

Danke sehr für dein freundliches Kommentar Michelle!! Wird sehr geschätzt.

To Marena: impossible to muzzle my dog. She is a Shi Tzuh and has a rather flat face. Nothing there to put a muzzle on....(LOL). Fortunately she is small and very friendly, she loves all people and all dogs. But you are right, not all people and dogs are the same!!!!

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for both the Constitution and a law violating it to be valid; one must prevail This is succinctly stated as follows:

The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void...

An unconstitutional law cannot operate to supersede an existing valid law. Indeed, in so far as a statute runs counter to the fundamental law of the land, it is superseded thereby.

No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it."

Sixteenth American Jurisprudence Second Edition, Section 256

Since people sit on jury's, they can through out any law they decide is unconstitutional. They can overrule the supreme court. That makes jurors the most powerful people in America, and of coarse the most underpaid. I wonder why?

If this dog has done nothing why put the animal through this. The dog should be on a leash at all times with proper disapline she should be fine. I know people that have those dogs and they are fine, they keep a good handle on the dogs. Any dog that is provoked will attack. I feel bad about this situation.

What utter nonsense! To punish or kill a dog who has done nothing wrong or to deserve such treatment. I feel so badly for the family. Yes, any dog who is provoked or protecting its family may attack; but that doesn't mean this dog will. Hope the judge is a dog-lover.

Sue W. you are right. This is getting way out of hand this dog does not even look like a pit Bull she looks more like a Labodor to me than anything and maybe some boxer in her. It doesn't matter what she is. This is America where we are suppose to be free to live our life like we want to as long as we don't break the laws and this dog did not. Its time for people to step it up and take a stand its really getting out of control here. We are under dictataorship this is one of them right here. Wake up America.

Thanks Sue and Songbird... I just want to remind everyone this case is in Windsor, Ontario-- Canada.

Thanks to you all for your support, we have over 1,000 signatures already in less than 48 hours. But, we need to further exceed the goal as we need to show the court the outrage in the "court of public opinion". Her court date is June 10th, we only have a few days. Please keep spreading the word. Thanks again!!

Signed and forwarded to family and friends. This is an outrage! How can they condemn this dog to die when they themselves aren't sure what breed it is? My next door neighbor has a white pittbull and Sasha does NOT look anything like my neighbor's dog at all.

Yes, I'm in contact with Sasha's mom. She's trying to get a court extension. I've expressed how important it is to get a plans a, b, c, etc. in order unless things don't go our way. A lot of this stuff like petition and networking should've been done months ago when it first happened. I just saw her group on Facebook on Monday, less than 10 days to the court date and just then helped her create the petition and network Sasha's case. Now her FB group grew from 125 members to almost 2000 and petition has also exceeded its signature goal... thanks to each and everyone of you!! She's more confident now and very grateful of all the support she's getting world-wide. Though, she did say she has plans for the worst case scenario. I also have a couple of friends who are willing to foster/harbor Sasha temporarily if anything happens. I will keep you all updated and post here. I thank you all again for all your help in this case! Love, Nadia

Thanks Nadia, This dog does not deserve this! Please let Sasha's mom know that we are with her, all the way. And God bless those who are willing to foster Sasha if things go wrong. But in my heart I belive Sasha and her family will be okay. Faith goes a long way. And Nadia, thanks for everything you are doing to bring the world's attention to this matter. Hugs and blessings.
