The first of what could be a handful of actions taken against Michael Vick by the commissioner's office has been decided. Commissioner Roger Goodell has ordered the Atlanta Falcons quarterback not to attend the team's training camp...

He's ROTTEN & EVIL to the CORE! I agree with the 1st post 100%! I hope he losses everything AND goes to prison. I also hope that somehow the exposure that this case is bringing to the horrors of dog fighting ... some how helps to lead others to report it when they see it & helps to riegn it in.

If Vick is EVER allowed to play football for anyone, I'm going to PROTEST like a PIT BULL. No, he won't go to prison - we don't have strong laws that protect all life (just ours) from gross cruelty, abuses, and 'murders' ... but he sure as hell better LOSE - BIG time. Again I am reminded of the movie Powder, when Powder was able to cause the shooter of a deer to feel the deer's fear and pain. I wish everyone who doesn't know what empathy is could "experience" what they inflict on others in 'real time' ... it would put an end to 'premeditated' suffering.

So glad the NFL is doing something about this. I too hope he rots in that federal prison! What an evil person! I wish he could feel all the pain he inflicted on all those poor babies all at once! And yes I did see the S.I. poll results & participated in them too! Let's just keep going & hope they do justice for those poor babies by convicting him & his cohorts to prison! It's the least they deserve!

I hope this is only 1 of many punishments for this evil man.. I cant even think of one that would be as heinous and inhumane as what he did to those poor animals. A taste of is own torture would be nice!

Elise N. (18)
Monday July 23, 2007, 7:30 pm
I also hope this is just one of many punishments this evil human being faces. I hate to even call him human for the INHUMANE and horrific things he did to those poor animals. He should suffer the same consequences as the dogs he tortured, maybe then justice will be served

Oh no no no George... don't rain on our parade. lol I do have hope. Look at it another way, he's a celebrity what better person to be made an example of?

Also, like Elle said, check out the SI survey. There's public outcry and I believe that's why he's been ousted at the camp; not because Goodell is a compassionate animal lover. It's the same reason Imus got canned. NBC didn't fire him right away until everyone started screaming for his head.

Think positive...we need to keep the momentum going. Keep calling and writing letters. Let them know that we're watching every move. No deals. No leniency for barbarians like Vick!

Certainly a step in the right direction...although my cynical side tells me he'll be parading in with his multitude of friends and lawyers , thus inciting yet another media circus , the conclusion of which will end with him walking free . still, what gives me hope is that people have FINALLY lifted their heads out of the sand and have seen just how brutal this sport is and , indeed , has been for more than a century. Sad that it's taken such a high profile case to enlighten people.....Stilll...better late than never.

Wonderful! Now for him to lose his shirt in penalties! I'd like to see his royalties go to dogs who've been abused and used as he did as well to rehabilitate animals who need it. In other words, give to the ASPCA and do work in the kennels.

I just heard ion ESPN that the Atlanta Falcons will hold a press conference today at 4 p.m (I assume that's eastern time) where they are expected to announce that they will have another quarterback for the season!!! I certainly hope that is the case. Vick doesn't deserve to play football anymore...he only deserves to be prosecuted & sentenced to the federal prison!

https://community.hsus.org/campaign/US_2007_dogfighting_nfl2/forward/w3k8nk541d5jbj3 ?

Here is one more important step to ensure your voice is heard: Please take a moment to call NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at (212) 450-2000 (you may have to leave a message in voicemail) and urge him to suspend Michael Vick.

Dear Commissioner Goodell,
Please immediately suspend Michael Vick from the NFL for his alleged involvement in dogfighting. Vick's recent indictment by a federal grand jury for crimes related to dogfighting is a certain sign that you must treat this matter seriously. Reports of extreme cruelty to dogs who didn't "perform" to the fighters' satisfaction only add to the disgrace Vick brings to the NFL.

Dogfighting is cruel and criminal, and football players must be held accountable like anyone else. Please suspend Vick immediately--anything less would reflect very badly on your judgment, and on the league.

this is great news....Nike is also cancelling his new shoe distribution...my fear is that our justice system will not convict him, as is so frequently seen with celebrities but I do hope that he will lose his income with the NFL....I find it almost impossible to believe that he knew NOTHING about the activities taking place at his home, whether he was hardly there or not.....and you call that mug pretty??????.....puhleeeze.....I would rather kiss a frog....lol

JUST DOGS!??!!!??? How dare you say that!!! ALL LIFE IS IMPORTANT!!!! Animals feel pain & they have souls. Yours is the most backward thinking I have ever heard!!!! I have spent my whole life trying to save every animal I can. How dare you demean my life's work!!! People may eat dog in some parts of the world but that doesn't make it right. Animals were made b4 we were. They & we ALL have the right to a decent life. Animals can teach us unconditional love. Try learning some sometime!!! Oh you & people who have the same opinion as you make me sick!!! But I do feel sorry for you. You have alot to learn in life.

Ant Bon (0)
Wednesday July 25, 2007, 2:49 pm
well animals were put here for our use they are a commodity, people first yes? Maybe if we spent more time helping people instead of doggs then we might get somewhere. Animals are easy for people like you to exist with because they have no opinion and you can beat em and what ever you want and they always come back, unlike people who know better. No I say slap him a fine if you want and let him get back to what his supposed to be doing, giveing me something to watch and drink beer to I mean deer seasons a ways off still

Um NO! We are here to take care of the animals not destroy them. Any living, breathing, feeling being does not deserve to be abused. No...People, animals & all things on the earth first ! EXCUSE ME??!!?? I DO NOT beat my animals & since you do not understand animals you have no idea how they can show that they have opinions. Did you not read my last post? I am an animal rescuer. I have spent my entire life since I was 17 (I'm 52 now) saving abandoned & abused animals. And I will continue to do so til I die. Um NO...do you not read the news??? There are plenty of abused people out there who keep going back for more. An animal will come back in the hopes that you will love them. They are loyal & loving by nature UNLIKE ALOT OF PEOPLE!!!!! I hope the deer attack you for a change. I hate deer meat anyway. I exist with animals so I can have some time away from people like you who are of the macho man attitude. Makes me sick! And I VERY MUCH resent the words you said about me beating my animals. NEVER would I do that! I know how it feels to be beaten so I will NEVER do that to another living, breathing, feeling being.

Again all im saying is just because you think that way doesnt mean everybody does, people have been eating dog for eon and i have to say aside from dear meat its not to bad. Oh I am all too aware that some people don't think like I do. People may have been eating dog meat for eons but that doesn't mean I have to like it. You are one sick freak. I pity you. Being cruel to God's creatures is a sin. Your picture is as disgusting as you are. I would love to go live somewhere where people like you aren't. This world would be a much better place. We are all connected in case you haven't noticed. To worry about God's people is to worry about all of God's creatures too. Get a clue.

Not for you to decide. My problem with all of you is you have convicted him with out a trial or even his side of it, no facts just what the indictment said none of wich has been proven, hell it has even gone before a grand jury yet. Thats not what our country stands for, he says he wasnt there he is inocent until proven otherwise.
You people are all so angry at what might have happened to these animals you are ready to lench him its a wich hunt.

Even if Vick was not there you could not ever convince me or many other people he had no notion of what was going on in his house! And he better have proof of not being there, or will his high flying lawyers coach everyone who was there of what to say in defense of his honor Vick.........Somebody is going to trip over their tongue on this one.
Those poor dogs are gone...............Just maybe Vick will be as gone too, walking around lost as sin just like that pathetic idiot O.J.!

What ever has happened to all the great sports figures of the past.......Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Patterson(the boxer), Wilma Rudolph.......They all were honest and had morals!

Todays sports figures think of money and nothing else............Of all the sports figures to get into a legal jam Barry Bonds is the most arrogant one of all.............He walks around figuratively saying "I dare you" to prove me doing anything wrong when we all know he too is on steroids up to his hairline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're right we are convicting him because whether he participated or not, he is still responsible for what happens on his property. And I'm sorry dude, I do not believe he had no idea any of this was going on. No not what MIGHT have happened...what DID happen! It was definately a dog fighting ring & I know what happens to dogs in those places.

you are all a bunch of nazis so blinded by your own agenda youll stop at nothing to force your thoughts and beliefs on others thats facism! everything you believe is asumption and feeling no fact at all, dogs are dogs not people there are laws to protect them. this is not a moral battle, what would you say to my LT as he shot camels in the head to get info from one of what of the camel jockys? No stop they have souls give me a break! And by the way genius micky mantle and babe ruth were drunks shovnist gamblers get your story straight and vic has never used roids,

As for Vick using steroids the question is do you live with him and know that to be a fact???????????????????? Yes, it is spelled STEROIDS! And check your spelling and emotions before posting again in favor of a so called human who profitted off the pain of innocent animals!!!!!!!

And obviously you have no soul anymore. You are so bitter about your life experiences that it has left you cold, cruel, uncaring (except about yourself) & unfeeling. I feel sorry for you. It must be awful to be you. Yes dogs are dogs you are right about that. But they are living, breathing, feeling beings & I refuse to accept anyone being cruel to any living breathing feeling being. What would I say to your Lt? I would tell him that that was a very cruel thing to do no matter what. And that what goes around comes around...you get back what you put out. You are living in your horrid past & in the dark. So sad. I hope someday you get a clue as to what life is all about besides killing & being cruel. And yes animals do have souls. I've worked around enough of them to know that. And as you have said, you can believe whatever you want to beleiev...that's what freedom is!

This IS a moral issue. Yes, we do have laws to protect animals and I hope they use every bit of the law to punish Vick. Vick's lawyers have postbponed his trial in hopes that we the people will be no longer take interest in his punishment. You can bet the farm that I will be even more vocal as I hope we all are when he does finally face up to his CRIME.

You efforts as intense and driven as they are seem misdirected go to this website and have a look around I promise there are no animals being hurt or anything like that. But be warned what you will see is real make no mistake. And maybe you will not speak to VFW this way at least I hope not. http://www.robert-fisk.com/iraqwarvictims_mar2003.htm

There are many forms of evil Ant. So yes I do know evil...I lived with him for years. You seem to be stuck on the war & nowhere else. Look around you there is evil everywhere. It's the good & the light that one has to hunt for & seek out.
