In New York, Gov. Cuomo is considering allowing fracking. If I were him, I'd take a rain check. Just ask these people who are suffering from unintended consequences of fracking. The water at :17 is from what is theoretically a potable well.

In New York, Gov. Cuomo is considering allowing fracking. If I were him, I'd take a rain check. Just ask these people who are suffering from unintended consequences of fracking. The water at :17 is from what is theoretically a potable well. And the guy at :43, who breaks my heart, isn't an actor (and neither is anyone else in this heartbreaking video.)
Adam Mordecai

You can learn more about fracking here and do something to stop it in New York. Also, if you could share this, some New Yorkers would be incredibly grateful. Just click the share buttons below.

I think it's time for the Frackers to show us just how safe Fracked land and water is by living on it themselves. And with a huge water drinking FrackFest where they all have to drink up to prove its safety. The Drink Before You Drill Campaign.

Roseann is right, it will take some mor powerful action to ban fracking there, so far Cuomo has just postponed it.

The gas industry in our state is who our governor in large part owes his being elected. Pennsylvania has a tradition of reelecting incumbents, hopefully that tradition will be broken when this governor seeks reelection. When someone knows that the consequences of their actions will create unhealthy or unsafe conditions but their love of money overrides their concern for people, animals and the environment they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, no exceptions.
