That is one depressing report. I guess human rights and privacy has been buried somewhere in a shallow grave in the Shara desert. That China, Russia and Iran (and of course North Korea) are so terrified of their citizens that they take such deplorable measures to suppress any free speech or reporters, is not overly surprising. Will negotiations between governments have any meaning? This article refers to a meeting in 1996, much has changed since then.
