Quote from the copywritten article at the site:
"“Nonprofit organizations associated with the Tea Party movement have longstanding ties to tobacco companies, and continue to advocate on behalf of the tobacco industry’s anti-tax, anti-regulation agenda,” said senior author Stanton A. Glantz, PhD, director of the UCSF Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education (CTCRE) and a UCSF professor of medicine and American Legacy Foundation Distinguished Professor in Tobacco Control."

Still knowing the higher probability for heart attack, cancer and many other closely related illnesses, they want to block a health care reform. The blatant hypocrisy should surprise no one. Those huge money men behind the organization also called the tea party, have little to no regard for their loyal followers, they are but a means to the end game.

No big surprise there. All of the pawns lined up in a pretty little row. Thanks J L.

Well look at the tactics an you will see a correlation with the tactics that the Tobacco industry used to hide the fact that cigarettes caused cancer. Today the very same tactics are being used against climate change and what ever policies annoy the big corporations. The Tea Party has very much been in the pockets of big business since it popped out in 2009. So this is hardly a revelation.

How is this any different from where Al Gore's family made their money or his claim that he invented the internet? I would surmise that on closer observation there are many in politics who have ties to one nefarious industry or another. No I'm not a Republican or a Democrat. I'm independent of any political allegiance. Liars, dogs and thieves for the most part.

The only people who claimed that he invented the internet were? Scumbags claimed he made that claim, but he didn't anyone who says he did is either a moron or an egregious liar.

And if you arten't connected to the Republican party, why do you parrot their lies?

I hope more of this information is shared, because it is sooo important that people see the direct connection between big business and politics. Transparency is everything.

Al Gore said that he helped paved the way for the Internet, getting bureaucracy out of the way. Which is true. As for how a family makes their money, how long do we carry that burden? Gore's father closed down the tobacco farm. A long time ago people closely related and carrying my father's sir name owned a plantation in the deep south and I have no doubt owned slaves. Does that make me equally responsible? Ridiculous!

Remind me of a rewind VCR button of Tea party tactic. Purpose of persuade some public eyes about various events (raising tobacco taxation, health care reform, alcohol taxes, high oil taxation, etc) to own advantages. When a group of association or organization, members moved like a bull. Moo (talk) like Bull. It's a close knit of bulls gathers. Bulls have same purpose and ideas.

Good News, Organize small multi-group to counteracting on nonprofit funded by corporation / big business. Always saying small portion is better than big. Small grow faster where big is becoming saturated.

The Tea Party is no party. They base their entire existence on the profit motive and pettiness, hoping to destroy all social programs and are a direct threat to the health of millions.
