I give thanks every morning that I don't have to wish for these eight things, as I have them already. I pity the women around the world who have to fight for what I believe I'm automatically entitled to.

read and noted on 4-16-13 if everyone just treated each other with respect and being equal we would not have any of these issues i try to give everyone the same respect that i would want theres no sense in fighting or aruging about anything it will never solve the problems so just compromise and everyone's happy.

Thanks for the list. Very true, plain and simple. A man who truly loves his woman will understand this easily. And vice versa. Although I think this is more doable in western societies than in countries/societies where women are seen and treated as property, with no voice nor right to be her own self. Very sad that this still happens (a lot!) in the 21st century.

Women should not want these things. They should have them. When the balance of power shifts from male dominated to female dominated, they will. I would hope most of them sooner than that, but that change will come and these rights, wants are as basic as breathing. And should be guaranteed everyone, now. This should be a UN resolution and enforced everywhere as law. One day, soon I think they will be the norm, not a dream.

Let's go back to Viking times when the wife owned the farm and livestock while the husband owned his place on the ship and part of the gains from the voyage. 'Modern' religions are part of the drive to make women subservient in the West; mostly because the core texts have been badly editted to promote a patriarchal system. Experiences show women are peers to men; Marie Curie was Henri Becquerel's peer, and Pelosi is as bad as Reid in the US Senate. Scrap the prejudicial differences and acknowledge the few real ones, physical body differences that have no effect on the quality of the mind.

They are such fundamental things that we in the Western world almost take them forgranted. What a pity that so many women in the world are deprived of these rights! Thanks for sharing.
