A Republican Super PAC has put out a new online "game" where they ask supporters to virtually slap Hillary Clinton across the face. No, we're not joking.

The Super PAC is known as The Hillary Project and is an anti-Hillary Clinton group that lists Christopher Marston--a Republican campaign consultant and a former member of the Bush administration--as its treasurer.1

Almost more disturbing is that the staff of this Super PAC are proudly promoting the game--emailing reporters to ask "Have you slapped Hillary yet today?" They sign their emails as "The SlapHillary Team."2

It's disgusting, it's outrageous and--regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum--it has no place in our politics. Reporters are just starting to get word of this "game." If we can show them that there is a wave of grassroots anger spreading over it, we can create a media firestorm so strong that the Super PAC will have to pull their website and apologize. Can you sign the petition demanding The Hillary Project pull down this game and apologize for advocating violence against women?

Add your name to the petition demanding the "Slap Hillary" game be taken down.

It's obvious that this "game" is offensive and sexist. And one would hope that any person who thinks it's a great idea to advocate slapping women--of ANY party--wouldn't have a job anywhere near politics.

But unfortunately, that's not the case. And that's why we need to speak up. With all the rumors that Hillary Clinton will run for president, we can expect a lot more of this sort of misogyny in the political realm between now and the election--unless we nip it in the bud NOW.

Violence against women is not a joke. A woman is assaulted or beaten every 9 SECONDS in our country--and more than three women are murdered every day by their partners or boyfriends.3 When we excuse "games" that make fun of abusing women, we perpetuate a culture that allows violence against women to stand, and that's not OK.

The vast majority of Congressional Republicans voted against reauthorizing the landmark Violence Against Women Act--130 of them in the House alone.4 And now a Republican Super PAC is actually advocating violence against women.

It doesn't matter where you fall on the political spectrum--there is nothing funny about abusing women. Can you add your name to the petition today?

Add your name to the petition demanding this game be taken down.

Thanks for speaking out,

Does the Greedy Old Pigs think we would want to vote for wackos like this? They are so infantile and out of touch with reality. To put up something like this to play on Violence Against Women is truly ignorant. Send the GOP back to the sewers they crawled out of with the rest of the snakes. What a bunch of empty-headed lunatics. Disgusting, corrupt jerks. GET OUT AND VOTE THEM OUT. Vote the Primary too, many positions are decided in the Primary. GET THEM OUT FROM THE STATE LEVELS TO THE FEDERAL LEVELS. We deserve better representation than these dirtbags.

It's not assault it's the republicans trying their level best to be funny. Yeah, it failed but they don't really have much to work with. Hilary has spent her life in politics, I sincerely doubt this bothers her. Funny thing is when George Bush was nearly hit with a shoe during a trip abroad, the progressives/democrats had a 4 or 5 sites up to toss the shoe at GW or throw the tomatoes at the President. If it's good for one.....

I read this from emails earlier today.

Signed it.

Remember the good ol' days where it was taught to never put your hands on a woman? Not that is wasn't a little sexist- but still- it goes to show- just what kind of moral decay the GOP has undergone- all the while, blaming Democrats.

Sad- is all I will say. I have a funny feeling if Bill Clinton tried that trick he would be in a full body cast.

Hilary has been made a target for awhile

Pete Santilli, Radio Host: Hillary Clinton Needs To Be 'Shot In The Vagina'

Radio host Pete Santilli made shocking remarks about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, claiming she should be "shot" for being "involved in the killings of American troops."

Santilli hosts a show on his website, but says he's "ready to take my show to national syndication; that is, of course, if the FCC regulated AM/FM radio stations can handle my truth & honesty."

(WARNING: this post contains language that may disturb some readers.)

"Hillary Clinton needs to be convicted. She needs to be tried, convicted and shot in the vagina," Santilli said, Right Wing Watch reports. "I want to pull the trigger."

Santilli criticized Clinton over the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consultate in Benghazi, Libya. He also slammed Clinton over what he called "the fake hunt down of this Obama bin Laden thing":

I want to shoot her right in the vagina and I don't want her to die right away; I want her to feel the pain and I want to look her in the eyes and I want to say, on behalf of all Americans that you've killed, on behalf of the Navy SEALS, the families of Navy SEAL Team Six who were involved in the fake hunt down of this Obama, Obama bin Laden thing, that whole fake scenario, because these Navy SEALS know the truth, they killed them all. On behalf of all of those people, I'm supporting our troops by saying we need to try, convict, and shoot Hillary Clinton in the vagina.

Santilli also criticized Obama, saying he deserves the same punishment as Clinton.

"Barack Obama needs to be tried, convicted, and shot for crimes against the United States of America," Santilli said. "And if anybody has a problem with that, then you are an enemy of our state."

Thanks for the added context Nyack (I think). It is indeed deeply disturbing when people declare themselves the judge, jury and executioner almost as if they believed someone died and declared that they were now "God."

I don't like any games that involve inflicting pain or violence upon anyone, be it woman, man, or animals. With the whole overall violence depicted in many video games we have a generation growing up that most likely views it as funny.

These virtual actions, although may not be mimicked by a lot of people, seep into the society consciousness and far too many do act out on what they have viewed over and over from video games. The political arena has become more and more a dirty place to be, not that it ever was truly clean, but it seems to keep finding low points to drop down into.

Then we wonder why the criminals are in office, they don't mind getting dirty, is something they are use to. But it keeps many of the decent people who would be in those seats with good hearts from running for office. This whole society is a mess, but we can all do our part by NOT becoming it and calling it out where-ever we see it. The little saying, Let Peace Begin With Me......Well it all has to start with each of us.

Educate and Elevate.

Rise Up!
Idle No More......

This is Cyber bullying under the guise of humor by a pack of village idiots who are scared of Hillary. When you lack the intellect to argue your position in a rational and fact based manner, you resort to mindless and hateful tactics. This has become the GOP way. I just hope the EVERYONE remembers this on election day. We don't have to put up with this crap.

No problem Candy--might get some more signatures that way.

I agree Robert--it definitely fits CA's cyberbullying law. Far too few cases get reported or sanctioned by social media IMO so it grows instead of disappearing.

These Republicanus/Teabaggers might find this amusing, but I don't. Perhaps therewere other childish games in the past perpetrated by Democrats, but as my momma always said, 2 wrongs do not make it right. There is already enough violence against women by the Greedy Old misogynist Pharts. We don't need more.

If one has an infantile sense of humor and/or engages in domestic violence, this might be remotely amusing-but I doubt it, and I don't. I also vote in every election as does a decent percentage of females by gender. This farce is typical Republican garbage, engaging in offensive frat boy stupidity instead accomplishing any of the people's business. There are laws against this juvenile behavior in may states; where is a prosecutor with the spine to do his or her job?

Wow. Thanks again for signing the petition demanding that the "Slap Hillary" game be taken down.

The backlash against the "game" has been huge. Since yesterday afternoon, more than 65,000 people have signed! And the press has started to take notice of the intense public backlash against this nauseating "game"--the petition was covered by CNN yesterday.1

Now it's time to turn up the pressure. Prominent conservative leaders like Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker John Boehner have yet to condemn this offensive game. And it's time for them to end their silence.

Today, we're releasing a letter to these Republican leaders asking them to unequivocally condemn this game. We'd love to have your signature on the letter when we release it to press. Can you add your name right away?

Add your name to the letter.

Thanks for speaking out.

Noted and signed...thanks JL. Really disgusting that people think advocating violence against women, whether they are joking or not, is at all funny. It just goes to show how out of touch the Republicans/Teabaggers are with the people. Violence against women is a worldwide epidemic. If there are some that don't understand that, they are living in a cave somewhere (and most likely part of the problem).
