It is an honor to present to you the music video for the hit song “Wake Me Up.” A collaboration with singer Aloe Blacc, Director Alex Rivera, and some friends that star as actors, the video tells a story of one family whose dream to be together confronts the nightmare of US immigration policy. Inspired by 11 million true stories, the video is a testament to this simple fact: the love that binds us is stronger than borders that divide us.

"Wake me up when it's all over."

You say I'll have to live with what I didn't change.

Thank you so much JL. This was so inspiring although I think 11 million people is an underestimate, unfortunately. How BEAUTIFUL and many thanks.

Each time I hear this I think of Martin Luther King and the struggle for civil rights in the 1960's. Yes, the music is more of a ballad but he speaks well to the need to care for each other. To accept that each of must reach out and take the hand of those who need comfort. Few songs come along that just reach deep inside and have the power to make people "feel" I believe this is one of those.

Wake me up or maybe all of us need to be awake and engaged? Problems do not solve themselves.

Why are Americans so afraid and even hateful of the "other" this country more than any country on the planet is a mixture of people from all the lands. We are different but the same. We all want and need the same things. Is it the liberal speaking when I do believe that this country more than most has the capacity for freedom, but if one is denied freedom than none have freedom.

You are welcome SuSanne.
Sometimes a song can reach and teach when other efforts fail. I can't help but think of human rights and peace movements when I now hear "We Shall Overcome," "Blowin' In the Wind," and "All We Are Saying Is Give Peace a Chance." Time will tell if this song reaches a similar acclaim--this video has been viewed a million times already so it seems possible.

Powerful song with a powerful message. I hope the government can stop breaking up families. After all, our ancestors were immigrants, unless they are full blood American Indians.

Thank You JL for sharing this. Noted. Powerful words that pull at the heart strings of compassionate caring people. This country was founded by immigrants and built by whites and blacks. Then each subsequent generation of immigrants seeded this country to be great. We are not a white country. We are a diverse country and we need to embrace, not fear, that diversity. Why can't the Republican party get that?
