Tiger Ranch was raided by the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA) on March 11, 2008. The manner in which the PSPCA stepped in to raid and overtake Tiger Ranch is unethical, unconscionable, and unjust.

I will be there. I can't wait to see all of the medical evidence that will be presented. They wanted specifics, they are going to get what they asked for.

The larger question is whether or not the medical evidence simply demonstrates that the animals were sick - that there was an outbreak (which happens in the best of shelters) or if it demonstrates abuse and neglect, which is the purported reason for raid and confiscation of all animals. There's a big difference and there are many who believe that Tiger Ranch was more a victim of the PSPCA's quest for glory and power than any real effort to halt abuse. These same animals, if presenting to a PSPCA shelter with FIV/FELV, upper respitory infections, old age etc... would be "humanely" euthanized in short order but now, with the cameras rolling, every effort is being made to save them. Not that I'm not thankful that they're being saved - just don't trust the motives of the decision makers involved.

Just an update. Lin Marie plead guilty on 12 misdemeanor counts of animal abuse and 2 misdemeanor counts of tampering with documents. Sentencing is October 5. She could face up to 28 years in prison.

Update: Lin Marie's sentencing was postponed until December 4th because she failed to submit to a psych evaluation which was ordered by the court. Later that same day Lin Marie was put in jail for breaking the conditions of her bond. As far as I know, she will remain in prison until she is sentenced.
