"Crews found the 10-year-old girl on the second floor of the building. She was taken to to Ellis Hospital with smoke inhalation and then taken to Westchester Medical Center.

The girl's 34-year-old mother, Tamara Bell was arrested accused of leaving the little girl home alone. The mother was not there when the fire started. Schenectady County Child Protective is investigating the case."

How sad to be 10 years old, left home alone, and now this. I pray the little girl will be alright. It didn't say if she was sleeping at the time, I imagine she was though, at 4 in the morning. Wouldn't want to think of the terror she was feeling if she was awake.
Sadly noted, thanks Dee.

How sad, poor child,I hope she gets better, she has a long way to go to overcome the anguish. Kids should not be left home alone!
