"The North's defiance presents a growing diplomatic headache for President Barack Obama as he prepares for talks Tuesday with his South Korean counterpart on the North's missile and nuclear programs.

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak told security-related ministers during an unscheduled meeting Sunday to "resolutely and squarely" cope with the North's latest threat, his office said. Lee is to leave for the U.S. on Monday morning.

A commentary Sunday in the North's main state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper, carried by the official Korean Central News Agency, claimed the U.S. has 1,000 nuclear weapons in South Korea. Another commentary published Saturday in the state-run Tongil Sinbo weekly claimed the U.S. has been deploying a vast amount of nuclear weapons in South Korea and Japan."

This is more than scary! This maniac is over the top of being completely insane, and I foresee him doing just about anything. I surely hope intelligence around the world is on top of this. I would love to say more, but who truly knows who gets in and reads from here....

Just a very horrific situation to think about...

I agree Pam..this man is not stable at all..and is not to be trusted..

I think we are safe to post our feelings and thoughts here..after all it is the truth..Most people even in Korea are afraid of him and they know he is not fit to be in charge..They fear him but do not agree or respect him..

Thanks for your comment..

One of the if not the most repressive regimes on the planet. Look at the reporters that were imprisoned there.
I am afraid negotiating with a madman is futile.

an I.C.B.M from N Korea can reach any american city in 33 min. but obama is cutting missle defense spending by 1.5 billion...maybe not such a good time to make those cuts..even if N. Korea does not have the capabilities yet...yet..and a madman like N. Koreas leader might not worry to much about the consequences of such actions..
