"Seventeen thousand gallons of milk and 13,000 half gallons will be donated, purchased with almost $40,000 in economic stimulus funds, $5,000 in private donations and a $15,000 contribution from Stewart's.

“Blessed Sacrament Parish Outreach is getting 900 gallons of milk and 662 half gallons,” said Lynda Schuyler, Food Pantries for the Capital District Executive Director."

Hi Dee Again another great story with good outcome..and porpose..
I am the coordinator for my church local food bank..Though for my area may seem small providing food for about 65 families each month I must say anyone who helps in this what I a labor of love gets kudos from me!While all food banks need help right now with donations and support I urge each of you to do your part as you can ..Maybe just volenteer a bi of time to your own local area.In 2009 at the first of the year my church was granted 2000.00 dollars in grant funds to help provide this food..Also my church spends more them 300.00 a month to help families in need also helping the homeless with food..The joy to see a young child get excited to get a extra loaf of bread and a jar of peanit butter could only make one smile..Getting fresh produce and dairy products let alone meat items are not always so easy to come by..I have been doing my part for the last 2 years and must say I have been rewarded in so many ways..lDee again thank you and I am happy to see this story..God bless .JoAnnaB.
